This makes me remember a time in my life that was so purely joyful. I had just seen the movie and got a plushie when me and my family moved to Seoul. We stopped in Haneda Airport on our way from Arizona, Totoro had just been released. I got a blue Totoro, and my sister got THE grey Totoro. I will never forget this song.
I stumbled across this video, and I am so glad I did. The music has an incredible ability to calm the mind, and the visuals only enhance the tranquility. Day 160: I’ve been so caught up with my trip i’ve forgotten to update-i’ll say what i can remember. Today we went to a little medieval town, it was so beautiful and historic, definitely my fav so far. The roads were all tight and winding the city was like a labyrinth.
Bro Totoro is basically one of the best movies of all time because there’s no protagonist no antagonist and none of that other stuff that discourage the characters and just let you be chill in the most coolest way possible I love this movie and I also grew up with this movie and basically every jimble movie I love them with all my heart ❤️

Day 140: Went ice skating with friends, man was it tiring, but so worth it. Finally got my license and freedom with the car, it’s so nice to be able to transport myself.

Possibly once when I was young my sister and I have seen this together. 🎞🍿 I remember when I had saw a picture of Totoro on some kind of app or game, I felt like I knew him from somewhere 😗 Maybe it’s because it reminds me a little bit of Mulan in a way? 🎋 Although I haven’t seen the movie, Totoro reminds me of Appa from Avatar. 🌊🪨🔥💨
I finally realized why this movie is so amazing, It is just a movie of two girls enjoying time with kind and loving creature enjoying the world together. There is no protagonist or antagonist, or any horrible events that cause you to worry too much. You just enjoy Totoro and the girls together. Truly an amazing movie.
Those little girls in this movie and father too went through a sad time. Worrying about their mother. Tortoro comes and helps the children. The scene when growing the trees made me tear up. And I'm a big guy but this scene always gets me. Because it's so beautiful. The gentle creature that is tortoro and the little girls that sorta look up to him. This movie needs to be brought back. Now I didn't watch in the credits but the mom does get better and looks like the two girls have siblings. This movie is beautiful.
You're happy because the film is so damn beautiful and the music is extremely immersive, yet you're sad because you wish you had a childhood even HALF as good and wondrous as the story of My Neighbor Totoro (and quite possibly, the rest of us probably feel the same).
