Thanks for the review and doing all the tests, Steve! At least it wasn't another Ecoflow Delta Pro 3 that all the prepper channels suddenly shilled all at once in an advertising blitz.
@@temporarilyoffline It's greatly appreciated! I plan on doing something in the future by getting a small travel trailer and want to get something like this for it instead of just putting in the work of buying a bunch of batteries, wiring them together, putting them to a charge controller, etc. Your review on this sounds like it'd be right for my situation.
The Problem I have seen on every Powerstation I have tested is the RF noise the Inverters create. When Running the noise really hurts HF Radio usage. Even really good power filters are of little help. They will work great to run an RV but are not useful for off-grid radio ops if you depend on quiet RF. Interesting that your tests showed otherwise. My Acid test is to walk the radio band on my IC705 and compare receive with Powerstation on and off. MY Spectrum analyzer test was like yours (a little worse) but real world testing with the radio showed it was very noisy... for reference my current power station is the Bluetti AC200Max. A pretty RF noisy beast BUT it has 12volt 30amp output. If only the power station was a lot quieter RF-wise, it would be perfect, for me.
Yeah, Pure RF needs a battery - then charge them out of area. I've done tests with both 705 and SA, I should probably do them at the same time and see who is better.
Top notch review! Been looking for something like this to run AC. This would make my wife a happy camper. Great video quality too, goodness, that's Hollywood quality son. New camera? Or just me
Great one, esp on the RFI testing. The one fear-factor on this power box is the choice of lion over lifepo. Perhaps not a valid risk issue. You’re putting in your abode so that makes a statement! 73 de K4FMH
Life is about choices. Sometimes we don't get what we want. But we make compromises that get us to the next level. What I'll be doing on my RV channel is a complete (affordable) solar install with batteries to hopefully last a week without sun. The compromise is that we stay north in the heat and south in the cold. We shouldn't have to run the AC much.
now you testing like a true HAM ! My girlfriend would have no trouble setting all that up. So I stay on the good side. 2 external battery packs ! now you have a UPS for live stream ! This helps you stay online longer. 73's
If you ran it at 30 amps x 240 volts, you'd get less than 20 minutes from the stock battery. It will run for days when you have the very modest load, as you demonstrated. Something you should have learned getting your ham license is that power (watts) out is equal to power input (watts) minus inefficiencies (watts). Solar generators (complete misnomer) are not the panacea that the hype would suggest with multiple high power outlets on the front panel.
I didn't open it up to verify, but I am assuming it is LIon. LIon's do have problems, but they are in all the mac laptops and all the cell phones and half the RC toys. Large installed base.
@@temporarilyoffline I'm less concerned with the LiFePO4 v. Lion debate than I am with the fact that there's wrong information (unless there's 2 different batteries in it 🤣)from them. If that's inaccurate, what else is inaccurate?
I double dog dare you to take the battery down to 20%, turn your transceiver on plugged into a power supply that is plugged into the WALL, now plug in the battery to charge either using the wall or solar panels, and then walk through each band and each mode and notice how much RF noise the charge circuit introduces.
That's great, I wonder if you could use portable Bioenno solar panels to charge this while camping.
If you can adapt the connectors, almost any solar panel will work.
Great RFI testing of the unit TO!
Thanks!

You're welcome. SO far I've been happy with allpowers. I've been using their gear for almost 2 years now without issue.

Nice for Emergencies, Sounds fairly quiet, tnx Man!
Its noisy enough that you'll need to ham around it, but not so noisy that you can't.
Great video TO. A fun test would be with the Tiny SA in front of the Microwave warming up coffee, once on all 4 sides.
Yeah, I can hear how dirty the microwave is when I'm using my bluetooth. I think they might share frequency space.
Great value with AllPowers! You threw that 50# around like it was a bag of marshmallows.
I've been working out!

Waiting to see how it does on the RV. That's a big boy for sure.
Me too - Baby is getting new shoes right now
@@temporarilyoffline hope you're getting 10 ply soles on them shoes.
@@Hank_W6IR I sure am!
Whaaw, heavy lifting ;-) In Europe it is 999 euro for the R2500 without solar panel. Great video Steve. 73 Phil ON4VP
Thanks Phil

Thanks for showing the spikes.

Does the RV have a single A/C?
Yep, and I've ran it off of 15a for a while last summer. I'll be adding a second RV, so I'll need more power down the road.

Jethro. I like it
On their web site, their specs say it is LiFeP04, but their own video shows a box that reads Lithium Ion, just like your box.

I hear that ... But I also owned a BMW that had to have its traction control turned off to drive in the snow. This is the modern world for ya.
All R series (r600 r2500) are lipo4 ... s300 s1500 ets are lion .
