Well, I wasn't even looking at power stations till I seen a video pop up on my screen (it wasn't yours, or this unit), and I thought to myself that winter is coming, and I haven't really had any kind of extensive power outages, but what if? And I started searching what the better ones were, which brought me to many channels delivering a lot of information. And many of their tests were the same as yours. And then I looked at all the different models and advantages and disadvantages of pretty much everything. I'm retired, fairly disabled, I don't camp or need it for that kind of thing, but what if the power goes out. I don't have close family and no friends, so I would just sit and huddle in the dark and cold with my dog while searching for candles. And I'm poor, living on $1,478 a month. But I have a little money from when my mother died earlier this year, and though it seems kind of like a huge waste of my money, it still leads me back to "what if"? So, I thought, I really want something that can run my refrigerator, a small low wattage lamp, and I have one of those low wattage radiator heaters. It needs to be able to run my TV, and if I can squeeze enough power out of it I'd like to use my computer. I started looking at the Bluetti AC180 with a 2oow solar panel, but finally talked myself into this Bluetti Elite 200 V2 power station with (2) 200w solar panels. I want to thank you for the use of your brain to help me figure it out. All told with cyber-Monday and tax included it came to $1,633. And I hope I never need it.
You should have pushed the 12 V socket. I saw another review where they started 2 different diesel heaters and the 12 V socket was able to handle 170 watts for a minute or 2 until the diesel heater was running. He did this several times and never had an overload issue with the DC section. Great review as always!
Marketing hype. You can "supplement" battery power on literally every power station with 12v input using an external battery or power supply as I do in every one of my reviews. This product does not have a battery port for battery expansion.
I mention if you can connect these to extra battery packs like the comparable AC200 Max. I’m assuming you can’t connect these for extra battery storage
Ordered one with your code. Thanks for the great video! I plan on using it as an UPS and then power when camping. I wanna use my Keurig! and maybe a heater and the AC...lol
This unit is awesome. They take out all the stuff I didn’t care about and made the stuff I care about great. I’m glad I waited to but the AC200L. This will fit my needs a lot better. Thanks for the review.
I'm gonna get one for a UPS system which would power my TV/internet router all day if the power goes out. I have the original AC200P which I bought for like $1900, this model costs almost 50% less! the price is still $1099 as of Jan 3
DUDE.. please show URL inks to ur (Delixi) adjustable power supply that u r using for creating solar loads, and place these links within the video description, so we can find them for purchase, thanks
Have a 15k btu AC unit with no soft start, Delta Pro has no issues starting unit. The Delta Pro surge is massive so not sure why it wouldn’t start ur AC. I guess if U had two units that came on at the same time it might have a problem. So if a 3600 watt inverter won’t start it what makes you think a 2600 watt inverter will?
What solar panel setup/array can I use for this unit to get close to the 1000 input and still be within the voltage/ amp parameters of this power station? Thanks anyone
I see the solar input wire has two sets of mc4 connectors on it. Would this allow you to hook up two sets of 200w panels in series to it. thanks George.
Great review! I just bought AC180 in July 2024. I had a hard time buying a panel with the low amp requirement of 10 amps while approaching 500 watts. I bought a 385 watt Talesun HIPRO_TP672M new for only $100. I'm happy with the panel's performance. The 72 cell format was a good output and size lay out. Under 50 pounds is great if you want to track the sun for a performance boost. Now I'm thinking it will be hard to max out the elite 200 v2 with just 2 panels. My question is do the two panel have to be like panels with the supplied xt60 split mc4 cable? What panel set up would you recommend? My usage is to have emergency refrigerator power during power outage. I did start to use the set up to power my home office instead of being idle in storage. I need about 1,250 per 24 hours for my refrigerator. The ac inverter idle usage was a big factor in my purchase decision. The bluetti ac180 seamed to be a good fit for my needs at the time of purchase. Ecoflow's new delta 3 has two inputs at 15 amps each and 500 watts. This is a better format than the elite 200 v2 which is twice the size. Down side with ecoflow is inverter efficiency and idle usage compared to the Bluetti elite 200 v2. I'm keeping my eyes open for a better unit in the future. I have shaved my energy usage by one KW per day by powering my home office for the last 75 days. Not worth the effort unless one finds it fun.
Not losing excessive DC or AC power while on standby is an incredible advance. I’m hoping to see the rest of the industry follow suit…….come on EcoFlow.
What i have learned from these types of stations is that my portable space heater at 900w or 1500w takes more power than anything in my home. And i thought it was saving me money.
Great video! I'm in the market to for a power station and this video helps a lot. Also I'm looking for a power station with UPS function to use with my router only what would you recommend? Thank you
@hobotech i need your help. I want to use my first solar generator primarily for camping but also in case of power outages. The main thing is that id like to be able to power a portable air conditioner or heater when its super hot or cold. I attempted camping in 100 degree heat this summer. Whew. Im trying to decide between the Pecro. 3600 lfp, pecron 2400 lfp, bluetti 200 v2, or pecron 1500 lfp. Im a little concerned about weight but pecron has a trolley for the 3600. Im completely new to solar. What should i do? Just tell me please. Im so tired of looking at videos. Im stressed. Lol --tent camping
After completing the necessary retrofit to the AC input of a typical home furnace, how long will it operate the furnace? Lots of folk can get by in emergencies with LED battery lights and Coleman camp stoves and along with this gizmo to run your furnace and fridge just enough, one can make make it through.
So I'm just wondering, could you theoretically use the P090D To XT60 cables from the Bluetti site and connect a B300 to the XT60 input on the Elite 200? On their site they show that cable being used with an AC70. I know the input would be limited by the max amps the port accepts but considering the Elite has a max voltage of 60 and the AC70 is 58. Is it possible?
I'm new to solar, when I buy the power station and the panel , how do I connect the two , how do I know what input I need I see the one with the two yellow holes and the the circular barrel ended one 😅 How do I actually know what to buy as in the adapter
Can you add a quick and simple test where you run a device on the AC ports and also have it plugged into the grid. I recently found out that most power stations do not support what would be considered 'peak shaving'. I want to run a high power load from the power station in places where I have bad wiring and limited grid power. My idea was to plug my power stations into the grid and limit the charge rate while running my high power needs from the power stations. Unfortunately very few power stations support that. They all draw as much from the grid as I pull from the power station.
In relation to the EMF radiation test being high: If using this power station in a small teardrop trailer where it would be in close proximity, would there be something you could do to help block some of the radiation?
Can this Solar Generator take a charge from an external 12v LifePo4 battery? It can be charged by PV, AC and the cig port but what about an external battery? I appreciate you.
If I just use it as a UPS for my computer desktop for months at a time, will it cause an issue because it will be charged at 100% all the time right? plugged in the wall... I thought ideally you want it at around 80% charge for long term storage
Can you tell me the extra watts needed for ups work (by using 2 wifi small plugs with meter) ? fossibot f800 takes just 6 watts more that the device needs and the rest comes from the wall, while allpowers r600 takes 20w! more which is huge.... its important for the long run and maybe connecting 2 together his way and still be low energy spending , thanks
How does it compare to the EcoFlow Delta II Max? I am having a hard time deciding between the two to use with their respective alternator charger to charge with a 2004 Prius, if possible. Thank you.
Key Important thing which makes this a Best Buy Solar Generator: It starts charging it's self automatically from a DEAD BATTERY STATE! Most solar generators do not have this ability.
That AC consumption is insane. If this had dual solar inputs and an expandable battery connection, this would be competitive to the supposed Ecoflow Delta 3 Max that’s in the pipeline.
Whats the difference between the ac200L and this? Im looking for one for camping to run my 12v dual zone 45qt fridge and also my mini star link i have an eb55 which i struggle to keep charged. Any recommendations?
Used your code to order one! Thank you! Question: for longevity...is it best to run the power station down to 0% before recharging back to 100% or is it better to never let it get all the way to zero? I have 240w of solar, plus I ordered the charger-1, too. I intend to use it for full time living in a cargo trailer.
Well another Bluetti with out the "30a 12v" Anderson plug. This makes this unit useless for my pick up truck camper. Am I the only one looking for a power station with the Anderson 12/30 outlet????? Thanks for another great video Jeff
@@Lonestartroy1 I have a power panel I built for our truck pop-up camper. I just use a cable with Anderson plugs from the panel into the 12v/30a outlet and power the entire camper from one source. The cigarette outlet that all these unites have only supply between 8-10 amps of power. In a lot of cases if you wanted to power a portable diesel heater this outlet would shut down..... Jeff
Perhaps the AC200L is going to go the way of the original AC200 and be obsolete after only a few months? I forsee an Elite200 v1 (or "v3" with the L "retconned" to v1? Nice and un-confusing) with this 2600w inverter, expandability and the 30a RV plug. Maybe wireless chargers will come back? Maybe they'll do something with the "Swapsolar" batteries? Like an expandable battery that's actually a container for four of those? Naah, they've probably forgot those exist already
Wish someone would do a decent test on this ups at least you did one unlike many but a 45 watt load isn't really a test. a 100 - 200 watt load test is what I'd love to see concerting modern PSU's capacitance filters it is the only one I've seen with this low of a transfer time though why I got interested in it.
Thank you so much for such a great video!! I am completely ignorant on power stations but am so interested in them. I purchased a 100 watt solar panel quite a while ago, hoping to some day find a power station. Would my 100 watt solar panel slowly charge this power station back up? Can you have the solar panel plugged in at the same time something is running off the power station?
excellent review, but I can't understand how it is possible that the efficiency of the DC is lower than that measured in AC mode (also considering the DC/AC self-consumption values detected). I missed some notes or info from the video since it's not my native language… besides not being an expert. Tnx
@@HOBOTECH Im getting my license soon so maybe I wont do the shack I had the plan for. But I still need a power station right now. I really have appreciated your channel all along, the best reviews and I thankyou. Ok, the V2, if I want more KW power, say to 4k, what is more practical, buying two of these or a larger one? Can two 2K be strung together to increase power time, like instead of 2 days, I get 4 days or longer? And, can these be charged by the alternator while driving?
also, I can buy that and also the 15-30a adapter. But RV parks and elsewhere, are the outlets male or female or should I buy both adapters? Im new at all of this.

I wonder if we can rely on this model to power the subpump in case of power outage short term? anyone know the answer to this?
Thanks hobo tech! GOD bless us
You should have pushed the 12 V socket. I saw another review where they started 2 different diesel heaters and the 12 V socket was able to handle 170 watts for a minute or 2 until the diesel heater was running. He did this several times and never had an overload issue with the DC section. Great review as always!
That's a quick way to burn out or melt your 12v socket. Not recommended. Get a power station with a 25-30A DC output for a diesel heater.
I read on Bluetti site that this unit can be expanded by using the B80 battery or B230 that serves as a power bank to boost its capacity.
Props for the Hobotech Robotech-font splash
Following too.....
It's $550 and a month wait from China. Still interested?
Yeah, that's why I don't post it...
@@HOBOTECH😂 it's funny you still reply to these Karen's. Thanks for the video
Would you need a soft start for the RV AC unit? I was not able to run mine from the delta pro.
Thanks for the video. Just got one today!
Sounds perfect for my micro van. Wondering if the alternator charger works with this & other Bluetti products
I love Bluetti. I have two of them.
Not losing excessive DC or AC power while on standby is an incredible advance. I’m hoping to see the rest of the industry follow suit…….come on EcoFlow.
@stuartstuart866, Ecoflow is utterly egregious in this regard, nevermind their pricing.
Does anyone know the wattage input on "silent" charging mode? The one feature I like on other power stations is the slider bar on wattage input.
Depends on the running wattage of the furnace motor.
If I hookup four of the Bouge 200w panels in 2s into par. how many watts can I expect in good conditions? thanks.
I'm new to solar, when I buy the power station and the panel , how do I connect the two , how do I know what input I need I see the one with the two yellow holes and the the circular barrel ended one 😅
How do I actually know what to buy as in the adapter
It plugs in one way. You need nothing else. I suggest watching my HOBO University playlist in the description.
@@HOBOTECH ok thanks, I've always watched some videos here and there but I'm actually going to buy a power station now
👍 Another fine job there Hobe
The best Double Fist Test in the internet
Is this the same form factor as the AC180 / AC180P? They are a perfect size for me, just portable enough
Totally getting this Bad Boy.
If I just use it as a UPS for my computer desktop for months at a time, will it cause an issue because it will be charged at 100% all the time right? plugged in the wall... I thought ideally you want it at around 80% charge for long term storage
UPS mode doesn't hurt the battery. That's an old timey issue from the power brick days.
Excuse my ignorance please, since it accepts 20 amps of 12 volt charging, will a 40 apm dc to dc charger damage the unit?
It accepts 8.2A at 12v, not 20. Most car ports have 10A fuses.
Could you please recommend a dc to dc charger. I have a 235 Amp alternator. I was looking at the etaker 1000. Thanks your kids are great.
How does it compare to the EcoFlow Delta II Max? I am having a hard time deciding between the two to use with their respective alternator charger to charge with a 2004 Prius, if possible. Thank you.
can you do a short video to clarify using third party panels with new 3000 explorer jackery? its not clear whats required
Thanks for helping us!
Wonderful video!!! Does anyone know if this power station would run an average sized RV air conditioner?
There's a chart in the video that shows a/c runtimes.
Whats the difference between the ac200L and this? Im looking for one for camping to run my 12v dual zone 45qt fridge and also my mini star link i have an eb55 which i struggle to keep charged. Any recommendations?
200L offers expansion. I have a detailed review on it. This one is better for a 12v fridge & usb due to the low overhead.
Agreed, pretty useless without it
Thanks..never thought about it
I'm curious. What do you run at 30 amps on 12 volts?
@@Lonestartroy1 van power & camping equipment I run DC
@@Lonestartroy1 I have a power panel I built for our truck pop-up camper. I just use a cable with Anderson plugs from the panel into the 12v/30a outlet and power the entire camper from one source. The cigarette outlet that all these unites have only supply between 8-10 amps of power. In a lot of cases if you wanted to power a portable diesel heater this outlet would shut down..... Jeff
Ive read that most of the powerstations dont work below 4°C? Is that true?
Stats right on the product page ...
Operating Temperature
-4°F to 104°F / -20°C to 40°C
Could this work as a UPS for electronics?
I did do an entire bit on the UPS.
No b230 support? Any adapters to use them?
@@ricardomayoral6171 : Maybe with the aviation to XT60 cord? I am not sure. Maybe someone else can chime in.
There is no battery port on this model. You can one way feed any battery you like into the solar port of any power station with an adapter.
Have you tested whether the comparable EcoFlow Delta 2 Max has the same EMF readings?
Watch that review and find out.
As of Dec 20th price is STILL $1,099 or $1,044 with your code. I LOVE mine! (Bluetti send me free stuff)
Can the battery be expend
Yes. You might want to watch my HOBO University playlist to educate yourself on solar & batteries.
excellent review, but I can't understand how it is possible that the efficiency of the DC is lower than that measured in AC mode (also considering the DC/AC self-consumption values detected). I missed some notes or info from the video since it's not my native language… besides not being an expert. Tnx
I like it except no 5521 port which I use for my 12 volt fridge. I don't like the standard 12 volt plug because it pops out.
Thank you Hobo.
Excellent detailed review.
what's the preferred 200w solar panels I should be pairing with this unit?

@@HOBOTECH Wow you were lightning quick! Thanks for all that you do. You're the best.
Leaking EM...what would be my concern-- health? Is it in any way a deal breaker?
Only matters if you are using it around sensitive equipment like HAM.
I have the kickstarter version of the AC200 and have been wanting to upgrade. Not having a 30a 12v is a deal breaker for me tho.
I'd buy one straight away, if the launch introduction discounted price in my country wasn't the equivalent to US$1617. The RRP where I am is US$2069.
nice...just fyi, the amazon link show 1999, where direct is as you mentioned.
