    10:00 that's a very polite way of saying that Seb made a dive for a gap that only existed in his mind

    • @hsghanau94
      @hsghanau94 5 років тому

      TjDolHaus86 well the gap actually existed for a few couple of tenth when Seb decided to dive down the inside. It would have been just like Leclerc vs Verstappen where Lec pushes his way over the curb and they touch with their wings. But Verstappen moved minimal under breaking which completely closed the door. Unfortunately Seb was already going for the desperate move.

    • @DjDolHaus86
      @DjDolHaus86 5 років тому +1

      @@hsghanau94 Think about it logically, why on earth would Vestappen open the door on the inside when he clearly had the advantage? It wasn't a spectacular feint that sold him down the river, it was the racing equivalent of Seb calling an ambulance because someone pretended they stole his nose.
      I think Seb needs a break at the end of the season, he's never been great at battling but he's becoming dangerously hard to predict.

    Leclerc and Verstappen was a very one sided rivalry with Verstappen dominating before they both went on different single seater paths.

      @@tgk300xx4 Did the British GP have racing for 1st place until the final lap? Hell no, the Mercs were OP as ever and the safety car destroyed any chance of a BOT v HAM battle in the end.
      Did the British GP have Sainz overtaking 10 people on track to finish 9th after starting 19th? No, even though he did it to a much smaller degree.
      Did the British GP have a car picking up extreme pace mid-race to all out and overtake everyone in the leaders' group to win after a horrendous start that saw the driver fighting the midfield cars? No, the W10 was consistently fast and from the start and no one had a chance.
      Did the action at Silverstone unroll under no safety car or retirements? Nope.
      So Silverstone was a great race, but not quite Austria levels of great.

      C6H8O7 Did Austria have a lap after lap battle between Leclerc and Verstappen? Did it have a pit lane overtake? Did it have Mercedes vs Mercedes within the first few laps? Was there any intervention from the stewards for exceeding track limits or pushing about car of track? The stewards let everyone race in silver stone and didn’t even think about awarding penalty’s (apart from Vettel).

    Hey Matt dunno if you read on Checo's twitter about that maneuver on Hulkenberg. Apparently his car got deconfigured during the SC period and he was trying to recover it during that time, but it wasn't enough and his braking was put all into the front wheels so that's why he locked up and ran into Hulk.

    Haven't finished watching the whole video, but I completely disagree with the comment about it wouldn't have been a great race without the Max v. Leclerc battle. WHAT? The McLarens v. the Renaults. The Toro Rossos v. the Alfa Romeos. Max and Seb. Seb and Gasly. The Mercs for the first 4-5 laps. Shit was happening all over the place. It was a GREAT RACE and not just because of those two. Though, they were the stars.

      Personally, it was Austria for me.. This basically felt like an anticlimax after Max-Seb and Giovinazzi. But that's also part of racing. If Max-Seb didn't happen, we'd have had a Max-Valtteri battle for second since he'd drop back because he needed to comply with tyre-regulations.
