At the moment, right after a collision, I'm pretty sure that nobody would immediately think "oops my mistake" and more "wtf is this guy doing ?" Vettel himself talked about that when Hamilton was once asked by a Dutch journalist if he insulted Verstappen in his car during a race.

The most remarkable of the whole race was that Verstappen was faster than Gasly in the last laps of the race without him having power steering, having a damaged chassis and a broken/loose seat.

I love everything about this race bar Vettels penalty. His 10 second didn't cost him anything bar a position to Kubica outside the points, however his collision was his fault and cost Verstappen a Podium. I personally think Vettel should have gotten a grid drop for Germany maybe 5 places

It would have been just like Leclerc vs Verstappen where Lec pushes his way over the curb and they touch with their wings. But Verstappen moved minimal under breaking which completely closed the door. Unfortunately Seb was already going for the desperate move.

It wasn't a spectacular feint that sold him down the river, it was the racing equivalent of Seb calling an ambulance because someone pretended they stole his nose. I think Seb needs a break at the end of the season, he's never been great at battling but he's becoming dangerously hard to predict.

What a year to come to my first silverstone. Unbelievable race! Got to see Verstappen vs Leclerc at Stowe, amazing racing. Honestly cannot wait to see those two scrap it out for the next 10-15 years! Both future world champions, no doubt
This year was my first time at any grand prix. It was well worth the money. I was sat in Vale so I basically had the best view for everything except the haas incident and land and riccardo at copse
A note on that Perez vs Hulk hit, there was some brake issues during the safety car that caused it. You can see Perez fighting with something on his wheel in the onboard during the SC
Two things - you should time yourself during the race rundown to improve, or have a competition between you and rest of WTF1 team to see who can do it the fastest, and second thank you for getting rid of the "1 point!" thing that you do with social media championship. But great coverage - shame I couldn't be there but thrilling to watch live on channel 4 for first time this year.
I think people might be playing up the “it’s personal” aspect of the Leclerc vs Verstappen battles. They did compete a bit in karting but not nearly as much as, say, Ocon and Gasly or Hamilton and Rosberg. The latter even went on holidays together. Leclerc and Verstappen was a very one sided rivalry with Verstappen dominating before they both went on different single seater paths.

Did the British GP have a car picking up extreme pace mid-race to all out and overtake everyone in the leaders' group to win after a horrendous start that saw the driver fighting the midfield cars? No, the W10 was consistently fast and from the start and no one had a chance. Did the action at Silverstone unroll under no safety car or retirements? Nope. So Silverstone was a great race, but not quite Austria levels of great.
C6H8O7 Did Austria have a lap after lap battle between Leclerc and Verstappen? Did it have a pit lane overtake? Did it have Mercedes vs Mercedes within the first few laps? Was there any intervention from the stewards for exceeding track limits or pushing about car of track? The stewards let everyone race in silver stone and didn’t even think about awarding penalty’s (apart from Vettel).
Hey Matt dunno if you read on Checo's twitter about that maneuver on Hulkenberg. Apparently his car got deconfigured during the SC period and he was trying to recover it during that time, but it wasn't enough and his braking was put all into the front wheels so that's why he locked up and ran into Hulk. Love your vids :)
The Vettel incident was great. He and Webber collided like that 3 races in a row or something. Back when Vettel was winning everything with Red Bull. Those incidents are so great and memorable. You could even hear the crowd gasp. More of this and more of Mad Max! haha.

Haven't finished watching the whole video, but I completely disagree with the comment about it wouldn't have been a great race without the Max v. Leclerc battle. WHAT? The McLarens v. the Renaults. The Toro Rossos v. the Alfa Romeos. Max and Seb. Seb and Gasly. The Mercs for the first 4-5 laps. Shit was happening all over the place. It was a GREAT RACE and not just because of those two. Though, they were the stars.
Now we need the rest of the season to be like this race and all the battles and crashes and strategies. And then I won’t actually care if Hamilton wins the championship by 200 points

Anyone else think that this was the best race this season? There was battles between Ver and Lec which was almost looking in the future and Hamilton and Bottas in the first 15-20 minutes!!! And who can forget Ricciardo and... the peasants... oh and sainz!!!
Personally, it was Austria for me.. This basically felt like an anticlimax after Max-Seb and Giovinazzi. But that's also part of racing. If Max-Seb didn't happen, we'd have had a Max-Valtteri battle for second since he'd drop back because he needed to comply with tyre-regulations.

Anyone else think that this was the best race this season? There was battles between Ver and Lec which was almost looking in the future and Hamilton and Bottas in the first 15-20 minutes!!! And who can forget Ricciardo and... the peasants... oh and sainz!!!

Personally, it was Austria for me.. This basically felt like an anticlimax after Max-Seb and Giovinazzi. But that's also part of racing. If Max-Seb didn't happen, we'd have had a Max-Valtteri battle for second since he'd drop back because he needed to comply with tyre-regulations.
