Not that he needed to but Max once again proved why he's considered so good. His engineers, with all their data, are telling him to slow down as he's overdoing the tyres. He tells them to piss off, catches the mercedes, pulls a pit stop gap and comfortably wins the race, not even looking in trouble tyre-wise at any point. SUPER MAX MAX SUPER SUPER MAX.
i was on Sportsbet, watching the odds change and VER was going up from 3.5 all the way to 7. then started going back down. i called in to get a bet on about 30 mins into the race when he was at 5.0, on the way down. really fun stuff.
I don't know if I'm missing something, but wouldn't it make sense to maybe open up the tires so the teams can order whichever compound they want. Then require a two stop strategy for the race. It would open up the strategies soo much! It would also permit people to race flat out because they know everyone is doing a two stop and don't have to nurse the tires for 30 to 40 laps. Then again I'm also a fan of doing a one shot quali so idk what that says about me haha
@Izumi Culture There's a difference between a fan and a fanboy. The fans want their driver to win, but ultimately want good racing. The fanboys will refuse to accept it when their driver doesn't win, and will find any way to make it not his fault
When you realise that racing point pitted the HÜLK to give daddies cash (stroll) some extra points Yup I now agree with all the protests remove all their points and disqualify them, my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
Troy EGA because he was probably crying to his daddy about it on the radio wanting to be better so even after copying merc they had to screw up another driver for him
About Hulkenberg - he did indeed have a vibration on one of the tyres which meant the team had to make the decision to pit him or else he likely would not have made the finish. Kinda the same for Latifi, he also had a late tyre vibration but he made the call in this case not Williams.
Naa that's total BS, the gap between Lec and Seb last year at Silverstone was even bigger than this year so what happened then? Yall tinfoil hat Vettel fanboys really don't have any chill
He was managing his tires and was ahead of Charles at one point but instead of asking Seb to let Charles by, they pitted him.... 10 laps on hard and 20 laps on medium?! He made a mistake at the start but he was recovering well until strategy screwed what’s remaining
Still hard to believe that in a week of Mercedes dominance in practice and qualifying; *Max Verstappen* finds a way! 💪🔥 Fair play to Alexander Albon as well, his midfield charge was a real sight to see. 👍
About Hulk pitting in the end of the race: Albon was for sure passing both RP, so they would get 6th and 7th. Knowing Hulkenberg wasn't gonna do the whole championship, they gave more points for Stroll, and try to go for the extra fastest lap point (thus why the soft tyre) for an extra constructor championship point. On a strategy point of view it was a pretty logical one
Props to Max and RedBull for the tire-saving drive and good strategy. However, imo this is at most a 4/10 race: no chaos, no crashes, no on track retirements, no safety car, just some drivers saving their tires better and having somewhat better pace while doing so.
Ikr. Given last weekend, I was so excited to see him in P5 and looking forward to how he would do this race. Damnit. While I would have liked to have seen hulkenberg do better, I wasn't emotionally invested in it. But the combination of Ricciardo's race going to hell and Hamilton getting past Bottas really disappointed me.
I don’t see how the race was that exciting at all nothing really happened tires stopped any racing in the midfield apart from Alex coming through. And Lewis pit for fresh tires near the end. The tires cannot be like this it prevents racing and drivers will not push as they are worried. If we want 2 stop races to become the norm you have to make them mandatory.
Yeah tbh I had a similar opinion. I enjoyed watching the different strategies but it meant everyone was conserving tires the whole time. Not a lot of exciting racing.
Ep1cal Verstappen beating 2 the dominant Mercedes cars starting from 4th on pure pace and strategy to win the first non mercedes win of the season is not exiting for you. Alright than.
The tires today made the strategy interesting, but I do think having the softs be viable should also be a priority to ensure a bit more variety. A 2 stop race should be a must from now on tho.
I think softer tyres should be brought to tracks where it’s difficult to overtake. A good example would be Spain for next week or even Abu Dhabi later on in the season. For tracks that are good for overtaking like Monza and Bahrain I think the normal tyres are fine.
Teams sum up their nation: Merc: relentless and precise Ferrari: friends and backstabbers Redbull: not quite as good Mclaren: brits that somehow menage Feel free to continue
I've always thought that if you have to use 3 dry weather tyres each weekend, then all 3 compounds should be used during the race. Just make the races like 20-25% longer and get some strategy in there!
4:28 This is exactly what Pirelli wanted when they entered the sport. A bit of strategy to get drivers and viewers thinking. Obviously there were problems in the first few years but I’d say it’s worth trying to fit more of that into the race.
Oh no, I want to See them push and not constantly preserve tyres. There was know surprise in Max winning after they pitted together. Like last week ich switched. This time later, but after the 2 stop the race was over.
What I don`t understand is why, as Pirelli is very cappable of doing this, they don`t make tires that last say 20 laps - if you push them or not, and force the 2 or more stops in a race.

Oh nooo shiver me timbers boi stfu he’s the best EVER check the stats- no one cares about your respect for him- just another person against him in a world where everyone is... I assure you we don’t care
Your show shows me people actually follow what happens back in the grid.
We had to wait DAYS during the 2019 season - now? hours.... relax guys.
So we aren't gonna talk about how Hamilton attempted to steal the P1 trophy?
Keep on making these videos hahaha, They are so funny!
70 years of fast vroom vroom.
Wtf did i just say.
Yes
i was on Sportsbet, watching the odds change and VER was going up from 3.5 all the way to 7. then started going back down. i called in to get a bet on about 30 mins into the race when he was at 5.0, on the way down. really fun stuff.

Vettel 2012 - Please stop winning
Vettel 2020 - Please stop spinning

First time I encountered this channel. Subbed 😆👍
Finally Mercedes didn’t win a race
Ino about time to, hopefully Verstappen and red bull can keep up. Checked out ur channel some nice content tbf.
damn, how time have changed🤣
11:49 Matt looks like a happy Labrador who just collected the ball his owner threw hahaha
Vettel vs Ferrari was really showing me the situation at their relationship
So sad even though it’s his final season

Leclerc did that for you, Matt. 😁
Seriously though, he was very impressive to make that one stop work so well.
The most interesting race strategy wise for an extremely long time
I don't know if I'm missing something, but wouldn't it make sense to maybe open up the tires so the teams can order whichever compound they want.
"You can't fault Verstappen." No, but the Hamilton fanboys will certainly try
@Izumi Culture There's a difference between a fan and a fanboy. The fans want their driver to win, but ultimately want good racing. The fanboys will refuse to accept it when their driver doesn't win, and will find any way to make it not his fault
Matt saying Magnussen. Something I didnt realise I needed to listen to but enjoyed
When you realise that racing point pitted the HÜLK to give daddies cash (stroll) some extra points
Yup I now agree with all the protests remove all their points and disqualify them, my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
Troy EGA because he was probably crying to his daddy about it on the radio wanting to be better so even after copying merc they had to screw up another driver for him
I mean I like hating on Stroll as much as the next guy, but maybe his tires were just going off
DADDIES CASH LANCE STROLL WITH DADDIES CASH!!!
Based on the radio, Hulk was risking vibrations and possible bursting like last week.
Hulk had vibration issues in the rear but hey bashing Stroll is always the answer right?
Mercedes: Loses when people wear vintage style
Opposing teams: Let's wear vintage every race
They pitted hulkenberg so daddy’s cash would finish ahead of him
Jacob No way. Daddy stroll never cheated. Daddy angry, daddy turns green (of envy of the Hulk’s talent).
My 2 cents too. It's actually quite embarrassing Stroll couldn't beat the Hulk on his own...
@@HarrieWorst hes so bad even for a pay driver
Hulk doesn't need points.
GloomGaiGar then why not say let him past, pitting him was unfair cos he lost more positions
I loved the tyre’s failing. Max was awesome and made it so interesting. Starting to love F1 again.
“Actually this was good actually”
-Matt Gallagher, 2020
No...
"That's Raidillon, actually."
About Hulkenberg - he did indeed have a vibration on one of the tyres which meant the team had to make the decision to pit him or else he likely would not have made the finish. Kinda the same for Latifi, he also had a late tyre vibration but he made the call in this case not Williams.
Ross brawn as the head of FIA, replacing Todt? I mean Todt is very old y'know
Brawn is a better politician than Todt.
@@EmyrDerfel I think Ross will get out-politicised. IMO he should stay where he is and let a politician be head of FIA.
Yes of course we love the 2 stop races please make all of them like this!
I’m convinced they’re messing with Vettels car and ruining the engineering balance. Simply to justify Ferrari axing him
Naa that's total BS, the gap between Lec and Seb last year at Silverstone was even bigger than this year so what happened then?
Yall tinfoil hat Vettel fanboys really don't have any chill
He was managing his tires and was ahead of Charles at one point but instead of asking Seb to let Charles by, they pitted him.... 10 laps on hard and 20 laps on medium?! He made a mistake at the start but he was recovering well until strategy screwed what’s remaining
Either Ferrari just want to protect Charles or they don’t want Vettel to score points.
It's cool to see how much max has matured over the years
Still hard to believe that in a week of Mercedes dominance in practice and qualifying; *Max Verstappen* finds a way! 💪🔥
Fair play to Alexander Albon as well, his midfield charge was a real sight to see. 👍
About Hulk pitting in the end of the race:
Albon was for sure passing both RP, so they would get 6th and 7th. Knowing Hulkenberg wasn't gonna do the whole championship, they gave more points for Stroll, and try to go for the extra fastest lap point (thus why the soft tyre) for an extra constructor championship point. On a strategy point of view it was a pretty logical one
Plus Hulk had some vibration, so one more reason to do that
I guess u could say it was a maxter class
Yes, but... please don't.
8:19. This is why I love Matt.
At this point I think Vettel should make his own race strategies, cos the guys in the pit are constantly failing him
Props to Max and RedBull for the tire-saving drive and good strategy.
However, imo this is at most a 4/10 race: no chaos, no crashes, no on track retirements, no safety car, just some drivers saving their tires better and having somewhat better pace while doing so.
last week me got angry for matt not mentioning Daniel riccrado:
Today: Me, doesn't want matt to even mention riccardo
I love the editor's message, "I don't know what he's doing"
Alright than.
this is the kind of good stuff you need in your life

Can't stop laughing 🔥🔥😂😂.Great reactions 💯
We need more races like this
This is the second time one of our tweets has almost made you rage quit your own video
The tires today made the strategy interesting, but I do think having the softs be viable should also be a priority to ensure a bit more variety. A 2 stop race should be a must from now on tho.
I didn't expect this one to be fun
I think softer tyres should be brought to tracks where it’s difficult to overtake. A good example would be Spain for next week or even Abu Dhabi later on in the season. For tracks that are good for overtaking like Monza and Bahrain I think the normal tyres are fine.
Teams sum up their nation:
Merc: relentless and precise
Ferrari: friends and backstabbers
Redbull: not quite as good
Mclaren: brits that somehow menage
Feel free to continue
I've always thought that if you have to use 3 dry weather tyres each weekend, then all 3 compounds should be used during the race. Just make the races like 20-25% longer and get some strategy in there!
When are you going to do a team radio championship
4:28 This is exactly what Pirelli wanted when they entered the sport. A bit of strategy to get drivers and viewers thinking. Obviously there were problems in the first few years but I’d say it’s worth trying to fit more of that into the race.
Oh no, I want to See them push and not constantly preserve tyres. There was know surprise in Max winning after they pitted together. Like last week ich switched. This time later, but after the 2 stop the race was over.
Oh yes! Reactions are the best thing on youtube!
What I don`t understand is why, as Pirelli is very cappable of doing this, they don`t make tires that last say 20 laps - if you push them or not, and force the 2 or more stops in a race.
I guess that Mercedes PU also comes with some humor seeing the 3 teams leading the standings.
Your audio was lagging a bit mate, bur great vid regardless
Charles is a top class driver he has shown that time and again
