- Land Rover’s lineup of SUVs offers a little something for everyone; from track to trail and family life in between. But this one here is my favorite because it’s the most well-rounded. This is the full-size, 3-row Discovery.
MSRP as-tested: $75,835

Great video, love the title no panic in the disco!! haha
the only downside for this vehicle. reliability and depreciasion very expensive repair and maintenance !! but i do really like that interior design and exterior design !!
Superb review, I agree with you, I bought one! Amazing value and feel as good as the range rover but even more space!
Has it ever broken?
@@lionheart.5983 it’s been perfect 👍
Thought about one but went for the Defender.
Standout vehicle! Great review, Steve
Glad you enjoyed it
Very nice!
The off-center rear license plate is atrocious (apparently there is an aftermarket piece you can buy to fix that). But the tall and narrow appearance from the rear is just awkward.
That aftermarket piece is so expensive and then paint...
Steve, interesting review. We test drove the base Disco in 2018 and liked it... Until we drove other vehicles in it's price class. The base interior was far inferior to the GLC, X3 and Q5, and even though we like how the LR drove and looked, it just felt less refined than the others. The 4 banger in the Discovery was notably noisier than the others too. It's good to see the LR interior get the update, but there's no way we'd pay that much for leasing one. Getting a kinda functional 3rd row and an LR badge isn't that important.
Sounds more like Discovery Sport, not the same vehicle as this Discovery.
Discovery and Discovery Sport are two different cars. The disco Neede to be compared to an X5 or Q7...
Who designed this Vehicle??? 😨
Exactly. Looking at the back head-on is a mess.
Curvaceous body and very disco brakes. This one should go viral!
I like thes. Just scared fo the reliability.
The B pillar looks huge
It is, which is why they have the blind spot alert
Is 2 litre petrol Disco with single speed transfer case(high range only) worth buying for off-road?
They really need to figure out their naming scheme...
Discovery has been out a while :)
@@CarsofGlasgow I mean in general. They tried LR3/LR4, then the Sport version is cheaper for the Disco, but more expensive for the Range Rover variant? Then there's the whole fact the company is "Land Rover", but they have a model called "Range Rover". So it's a "Land Rover Range Rover". It's even worse on the Jag side.
Nick Gallant just because you cannot figure it out does not mean it is not logical.
@@nickygons Aww in Europe it has always been called the discovery (2,3,4 and now 5)
@@nickygons Yeah sport means cheaper such as Nissan rogue sport or range rover sport :)
Yeah it is a long name or just say JLR (jaguar land rover) haha
Wonder why this doesn't sell as well as the Mercedes GLS
Shut up and TAKE MY MONEY!
Same thing your mother told me.
Oh it’ll take your money alright.
lol @ title👍🏾
I heared Disco has so many electronic issues? Is it true?
I'd rather have an Aviator.
If like the ones i've owned it will spend more time in the workshop than with the owner, WOULD NEVER HAVE ANOTHER !
Without the huge pricetag, with starting poverty pack in the low 50s..... OK...
Ha!! The Poverty Pack. I like that ;-)
@J M but it's got ford engine in it so what's the difference? Lots of land rover cars uses ford engine and Ford parts. On top of that Ford would be more reliable and cheap to repair should anything go wrong. Yes I would choose a Ford over a land rover with Ford parts.
It lacks character. And that's a surprise since British vehicles usually exude it
But it’s ugly! It’s rounded outside and square inside. I have a Lexus GX. It’s ugly too, but it’s reliable, cheaper, and close to as good off road.
Palisade and Telluride blow it away D$$$$ for D$$$$ !
Bextar636 oh shut up I can't hear about those cars anmore🙄 yes they're good, but nobody who can easily afford this will crossshop with these 2
You don't buy it, you lease it...
HYSV C...….They will for look's style and dependability !
@@bextar6365 who care if you can afford it
Used to love the look of the Disco. Simple yet it had a brutish appeal. No idea what the hell happened to this. Particularly the rear end is one of the worst looking in the entire vehicle market.
I’m salesman in England; selling used cars and I have colleague who used sell Land Rovers in London. He describes Land Rovers as “pile of shit”
I hear what you are saying but all I can say to that is I am on my fourth land rover and to be fair have had no real issues. My latest is a disco 5 and now after eighteen months its been great. I guess I must be just lucky
I’ll keep my 2011 LR4 HSE...... the new version looks awful.
Ratchet!
*the worst land rover. Every time I see the back I think: ugliest thing ever. Also the interior quality and tech is so far behind. Looking at the real Range Rovers. If a person said to you: do you want a slow ugly discovery thats behind on tech and quality or do you want a Range rover sport svr. A 575hp suv that is one of the fastest suv, super high tech and amazing interior quality.
I actually found the SVR to be somewhat disappointing. Certainly not the fast SUV I would choose. The Discovery Sport feels cheap. The Evoque is pretty cool but not nearly as capable as this Disco. And the Range Rover is simply too expensive. I love the styling here so based on price, size and capability this is the best LR. There; I answered my own question ;-)
@@stevehammes Perhaps you don't like harsh rides. But the Power and cornering ability of the SVR is amazing. But idl why we are comparing them total different cars and price points.
