- So today I shot the Howler slugs from Daystate , First time out with them and I must say ... Watch the Vid . The Howler slug is a 20.3 grain Slug made by NSA and yes he has done a great job . The Howler slug makes sense for the Hunter wanting quality slugs , Accurate and certainly does the job . My Daystate ART barrel loved them . Seems they work in lots of barrels we tested today . These Howler slugs work and work well !

That’s buddy . Glad you like the vid .👍👍
Loving your vids, your banter is awesome, never smiled and laughed so much watching shooting UA-cam videos. Brilliant😂👌
Most kind buddy . Glad you like them 👍👍
If you try a few more it would be interesting to see what they do slowed down to a few spots in the 900-980fps range.
They work ok mate 😃 the Redwolf is doing the job as always, be good to see them in the impact 👍 keep it up mate

Found you via Cyclops. Working my way through all your vids. Love your presentation style. I feel I have seen you somewhere and its driving me wild.
Maybe Fieldsports UK or Gunroom TV perhaps ? I did a thing called the ABC of HFT , also I have been on CNN all about motor racing ? Might be one of those buddy ??
@@TripleGRogerLait Ha!!! I watched your ABC of HFT. . Great work.
Awesome video oh love it I need to get some thanks for sharing bsafe

They work a treat I can assure you

I believe Daystate UK are going to bring them in . They should be in the UK soon all being well . They are certainly worth a good look for sure . They group really well . 👍👍
@@TripleGRogerLait thanks lad going to give them a try
Good evening Triple G. Wood you be so kind to tell me please where you got the butt pad system from and of course I’m interested in the bi pod where thats from thanks. Nice shooting by the way very nice HP Red Wolf

Just curious.
Mine are quite good, kind of same sesults that your getting.
Hi Roger
Watch this for a third time today lol , can we get these slugs over here ? And where from?
Cheers
Gaz
Daystate UK have them in stock I am told buddy .
Evening T-GGGGG is this the red wolf with the trigger problem. You could take it into a store and compare it to another my programming for the display has 3 settings why wood you need these if the gun is turning its self off after 2 seconds. I thought my own guns programming was stuffed as I had the software updated it’s a hard ware problem spring and small steel ball missing
The trigger is lovely on this gun . Works a treat . I love this little
Number
@@TripleGRogerLait well I’m pleased to hear 👂 that. So what gun s cutting out ?
Great shooting Roger. What's the rifle set up - ft/lbs, barrel etc? Rich.
Hi there , the gun is a Red Wolf running 57 ft/lb using 27 grain Wildman slugs , with these Howler slugs I was running 48 ft/lb at the muzzle. The barrel is the ART as sorted by Tony . The gun is off the charts good . I have shot so many slugs through it now I have lost track . Some have been amazing ... lots haven’t !!
@@TripleGRogerLait Polygon barrel Rog?
@@alphamilitaria2756 Yes buddy . It’s the Poly barrel . Works a treat for sure !!
Missed you Rodger where you been man are u away from 12 pound air guns now?
Ps cracking shooting
👍👍👍😜🏴🎣🦄😁🤞✌️
Still shoot 12 ft/lb , got to keep your eye in . As you know it’s double hard shooting the low power stuff . If you can shoot that , you can shoot anything . 👍👍
@@TripleGRogerLait yes and I agre missed you crack glad to see your back on seen
👍👍👍😜🏴🎣🦄😁🤞✌️
Lol, I want to see your misses, you are riot man.
WOW🎯💥
Acclimatized is the word your looking for we are in England
Are they in .25 as well ?
They should be out soon I hear .
Ya they are nsa slugs, he has plenty of .25 to choose from
How are the slugs at slower speeds?
I am going to try them at slower speeds next time out . I wonder too what they will be like ?
How would you compare them with NSA ?
They are NSA ‘s ?
Yes they are nsa slugs
So who in the UK will be selling them and when ? I’ve been trying to get my hands on the 20.2gn NSA for months now but they’re never in stock 🤬🏴
Hi buddy , I have been told that Daystate will be supplying everyone over here . I believe they are on the way . They are really rather good I can promise you that !!
@@TripleGRogerLait Thanks Roger, I’m shooting 21gn H&N slugs as well as the Wildman just now through my FAC at about 900fps and some of my results are amazing, I can’t wait to try these too. 👍🏼🏴
@@johnballantyne6853 the thing I have learnt is speed is not always the answer . I was shooting .25 cal , 34 grain Wildman slugs at a very low 842 fps average and the accuracy was spectacular. I used loads less air , they were like a laser and grouped stupidly well . One Pigeon at 192 yards seemed rather unhappy with a head shot . Anything under 200 was bang on . Wildman slugs don’t need to be run flat out at all. They work really well slower ( well from me they do ) . The Howlers love a bit of speed mind . They really do .
@@TripleGRogerLait I’ve tried them from 820 up to 1000fps and 880-900 gives me my best groups. Most of my hunting is sub 100 yrds so this is more than good for me. I’ve learned that your better with one pellet in the right place than a dozen in the wrong one ! Keep the videos coming I can always learn something new👍🏼
@@johnballantyne6853 really hope you enjoy the videos buddy . You will not learn anything from me for sure 😀😀
What’s on the end of your barrel
It’s a mod from CSW , it’s tiny and works a treat ! Weighs nothing
@@TripleGRogerLait wheres it from looks very interesting
Mate can I get the howler slugs in the UK?
I thought Daystate were going to bring them in ? They are very very good to be honest . Certainly worth a look . Give Daystate a call and ask buddy
@@TripleGRogerLait are OK thank you mate I want a lighter weight 25cal slug like 28 to 30 grains seem difficult to get hold of
@@edwardpockett4862 I tried the NSA 27.8 grain slugs and they are damn good . Not sure where you would get them from other direct from NSA ? The other option is Wildman slugs , they are brilliant !
@@TripleGRogerLait thanks buddy, daystate said no not doing them for uk market randomly! Maybe I could get some from 🇺🇸,
@@edwardpockett4862 maybe give Airguns or Arizona a call . They will have them for sure . They also have NSA’s . I would buy a bunch mate and see what works .
Also would like to see these shot out of an fx liner if possible just to see how they do, you never know the fx liner might like them for an hour or so 🤣
I tried it and they did work , they worked really really well.
@@TripleGRogerLait nice to know I will try and get hold of some for my fx dreamline fac and see how they do, I'm trying the 23g javalins out soon
@@yamahabigwedgy I must be honest , I have not tried those , I think I have tried everything else out there . These Howler slugs “seem” to work really really well through everything we have tried and up to ridiculous speed too ! My buddy Ray runs his FX super fast and they worked a treat . They really are worth a look .
@@TripleGRogerLait I'm trying to get hold of some, where did you get yours from? Will they become available in the UK shops?
@@yamahabigwedgy Daystate are going to be getting them in very soon . I am told this should happen quickly. I should wait and try some as soon as they come in . Have you tried Wildman slugs ? They do light slugs, down to 19 grain I think ?
Try some ZAN slugs
Made by NSA
My EvoL hps did not like then at all.
That’s not good , what kind of speed do you shoot them at may I ask ??
@@TripleGRogerLait If I'm not mistaken they were around 1095 fps. I think the issue is more the size then anything. They are .217 and the hps is actually designed around the .218 NSA slugs. Those actually do well. Also the griffin slugs did well, as well as the H&N 218s in various grains were not to shabby.
@@SomoneTookMyName maybe it’s the size buddy as you say ??
@@TripleGRogerLait I see it that slugs are no different then pellets in a way. Meaning that some air guns will like them and some will not. What's interesting is that the JSB .217s did fine. The Howlers were all over the place, and I mean all over the place like really bad.
@@SomoneTookMyName most odd ? I have tried loads of slugs and to be honest the best way for me is running them slower and going from there . Some , like FX Hybrids , just don’t work in my guns at all ? I have tried and nothing at all ?? O well .
😂😂😂😂
9 minutes was you talking g to the camera. 23 seconds of shooting.
Is this a question or a stammer ?
Did you wanna see all the time in-between shots?
What i want to know.. what planet did he fall from...id love to no..i want to get off this one...what a plonker😯...
