Amazing!!! Not sure why these aren’t more popular! Although there are now the software programs for the robot to operate itself but still this would be way more fun!
Best one I have seen so far. Now you just need to add a weed eater attachment for around mailboxes. It works great on flat lawns, what about on a very steep embankment?
Hey there, thanks for the question! This mower kit works great on flat lawns and can handle slopes to a certain extent. For steep embankments we would recommend our 4WD slope mower, located here: www.superdroidrobots.com/robots/specialized-robots/product=3231 We've tested it on an incline of 38 degrees with no issues.
Very clean build I like the advertisement of the work place at the end I have the 80 V version of this I absolutely love it I thought about making it remote control but I really enjoy cutting the grass myself
Hey there, thanks for the questions. We carry the 13-inch rear wheels in our store. You can find more information about the build here: www.superdroidrobots.com/robots/specialized-robots/product=3205
Hey there, thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! I would definitely recommend sending our team of engineers an email about this idea at info@sdrobots.com, I'm sure they'd be interested!
Well the good news is that you can get one here: www.superdroidrobots.com/shop/item.aspx/configurable-lawn-mower-chassis-upfit-robot-package-wheelchair-motor-system/2529/
I enjoyed the video. I want to make it too, but I'm worried about the battery. To do a 25V 250W motor, use the CYTRON MDDS30 motor drive. Please give me some advice.
Hey there, thanks for reaching out! I'd recommend shooting our engineers a message through our contact page, or posting your question over on our forums. Contact Form: www.superdroidrobots.com/index.php?route=information/contact Forum: sdrobots.com/forums/
Very impressive! It can spin around even better than a human can turn it around, but I do see one shortcoming. You couldn't get the grass close to the curb around the curve because cutting that grass would cause the mower wheels to roll off the curb. With a handle, you can keep the mower from dipping down and keep the wheels level with no problem.
I made one few years back but need to change the wheels, would you mind sharing where I can get these back wheels ( tires and hubs) having trouble finding the set.
Hey there! I'd suggest seeing if the following wheel & shaft set would work for you! www.superdroidrobots.com/shop/item.aspx/direct-drive-wheelchair-motor-wheel-and-shaft-set-pair-13-inch-traction-lug/2237/
Just a suggestion but as a disabled veteran with mobility issues this is a product that I would really be interested in. However, as a disabled veteran living on a fixed income the 5K price tag ensures that I will never be able to afford something like this. Between disabled and elderly people there is a need and this product seems perfect to fill that need with the exception of price. So the next step is to figure out how to lower manufacturing costs and how to increase production capacity so through the economy of scale you can get the price down to a point where it will have mass consumer appeal.
Thanks! We have the conversion kit available on our site: www.superdroidrobots.com/shop/item.aspx/configurable-lawn-mower-chassis-upfit-robot-package-wheelchair-motor-system/2529/
This robot can handle gentle slopes or inclines. We wouldn't recommend a steep incline due to the potential of a rollover while moving sideways on the slope.
Hey there, thanks for the question! This mower is capable of handling mild inclines and slopes. We would recommend avoiding inclines of 20° or steeper.
If I need to stand there with a remote I might as well just cut it myself. My idea of a robot lawn mower is something that will cut my grass while I’m at the beach.
Thank you for your feedback! Our RC mower allows people who can't use a standard mower to maintain their own lawn. It's also great for larger properties or clearing areas with overgrown grass. Several companies do produce autonomous mowers if you're interested in that type of system.
Yes you can! This robot is available on our site here: www.superdroidrobots.com/shop/item.aspx/configurable-lawn-mower-chassis-upfit-robot-package-wheelchair-motor-system/2529/
Thanks for the compliments! As for figuring out what you would need to build your own, check out the product page for this robot: www.superdroidrobots.com/shop/item.aspx/configurable-electric-lawn-mower-chassis-upfit-robot-package-wheelchair-motor-system/3205/ You can find a lot of the components there! Plus you can always buy the frame/chassis and use your own mower if you prefer!
Hey there! You're correct, the motors in this video aren't the PCS-250. When we released this video in 2019 we were using a different set of motors, which have since been discontinued.
Hey there Gabriel! We currently have one of these mowers ready to ship. You can find more information and order it at: www.superdroidrobots.com/shop/item.aspx/new-prebuilt-lawn-mower-chassis-upfit-robot-package-wheelchair-motor-system/2821/
Well if you insist, you can get it here! www.superdroidrobots.com/shop/item.aspx/configurable-lawn-mower-chassis-upfit-robot-package-wheelchair-motor-system/2529/

Fantastic detail. This mower looks like one you could buy at the store. Excellent video

Like it, where did u get rear wheels an tyres and size please
Hey there, thanks for the questions. We carry the 13-inch rear wheels in our store. You can find more information about the build here: www.superdroidrobots.com/robots/specialized-robots/product=3205
that's awesome, I'd love to have one of these,
but really 5k?
Wow! Trying this now.
Let us know how it goes!
That right there is exactly what I’m talking about!
Now i just need one i can use with a VR/HUD
Awesome Dethatcher
I am wheel chair bound, would love to be able to have this with a camera on it so I could drive it using my computer while I am at my desk.
Hey there, thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! I would definitely recommend sending our team of engineers an email about this idea at info@sdrobots.com, I'm sure they'd be interested!
Check out get FPV. Or anything drone related. You can get a cheap all in one vtx made for a drone. Some of the vtx support 36 volt
That's the best one I've seen.
Thanks!
I would love to have one of these.
Well the good news is that you can get one here: www.superdroidrobots.com/shop/item.aspx/configurable-lawn-mower-chassis-upfit-robot-package-wheelchair-motor-system/2529/
could it work on saplings about the size of a big toe ???
Thanks for the question! This mower can tackle anything a standard mower can handle.
@@SDRobots can you prove it, please??? Because I am very important about it.

I love this model. Question: What is the minimum rpm you can build for RC lawn mower?
Thank you! I would recommend asking our engineers at sdr@sdrobots.com about the RPM threshold for our RC lawn mowers!
How to you raise the mower for different level cuts?
Hello there Dandre, the height is adjusted using a set of bolts that suspend the mower chassis.
I made one few years back but need to change the wheels, would you mind sharing where I can get these back wheels ( tires and hubs) having trouble finding the set.

This awesome. So I have the Kobalt already and I have RC remotes for planes. 8 Channels etc... How much are parts to convert?
Thanks! We have the conversion kit available on our site: www.superdroidrobots.com/shop/item.aspx/configurable-lawn-mower-chassis-upfit-robot-package-wheelchair-motor-system/2529/
Would it work in a steep hill?
This robot can handle gentle slopes or inclines. We wouldn't recommend a steep incline due to the potential of a rollover while moving sideways on the slope.
i did the same rc lawn mover like you,, But i dont know why my two same motors do not running at the same speed
You can always check out our forum at sdrobots.com/forums/ and see if anyone on there can offer technical advice!

You need to install WiFi onto it.
how you recharge the 24v batteries ?
Thanks for asking! We provide a charger for the 24V battery that plugs into a standard socket for easy charging!
Why still use wheel chair motors tho? I have the same mower. Is it one motor that powers the rear wheels?
Can I buy one from you?
Yes you can! This robot is available on our site here: www.superdroidrobots.com/shop/item.aspx/configurable-lawn-mower-chassis-upfit-robot-package-wheelchair-motor-system/2529/
Have you considered making this a robotic lawn mower using an Arduino? Great job by the way, this is awesome.
Hey there! We've had custom requests in the past along these lines. Thank you, we appreciate the compliment!
I want the arduino one
Take my money!!
I can’t walk safely anymore and this is exactly what I need. I wonder if medicare would consider covering some of the cost.
Great job. So beautiful and neat, like buying from the store, you are so good, wish i could make one. I don't know what I need to buy to make one.
