Just bought one for $1300 yesterday with 150k everything in good condition with a 2in lift a off road suspension kit all around and I’m all ready falling in love
I own a 94 passport, the v6 is really gutless in my opinion. The valves start ticking like crazy and they absolutely hate coolant. The 4l30e in it is complete garbage too.
@@slowazzes1972 2nd Gen was much better. the 3.2 is 205 hp.. 4runner was 183 hp.. stop the nonsense. 😆 most 4l30e run 180-200k miles ... "garbage".. 🙄 and the 4WD system with 4L is one of the best in the 90s-00s.
I have a lunch box locker in the front, and a limited slip in the rear, but you don't need that for this obstacle. I think any stock 4x4 could do it no problem.
Ah 2.5 gen trooper in Red Rock Mica... nice choice! just like mine :D Looks like you have a body lift? how much? What size tires you running here? Nice job! wish my paint was as nice as yours
Oh wow, Cody came across one of my videos. Small Isuzu community. 😀 Here is my build thread: www.planetisuzoo.com/threads/enemigos-2nd-gen-trooper.148359/
@CodyShell yes sir. I did the body lift to avoid having to cut the body seam, but ended up having to notch out the seam anyway. Other notable stuff are the manual trans, 1.5" spacers, 3:1 low gears, and front lunch box locker. Once your Craigslist ad went down I figured you sold your Trooper. Did you decide to keep it? Still rocking the Ranger?
@@1stuart1 do you have pics of that body seam and your sliders? I'd be curious to see how it looks! That's cool! Sounds like a great build. That's interesting... I've never sold mine or put it on Craigslist lol. I wonder if someone made a phony ad and used pics of my rig?? I'd like to do a rear axle swap from a 96/97 and go with 4.56 gears and lockers someday. 3:1 gears sounds nice too. If I can regear I definitely am considering 35s
@1stuart1 ah okay. Hopefully soon I'll get some 285/75/16 Cooper Discoverer AT3 LTX and I was debating on what to do with the spare lol. I got a cover from a later trooper and I was planning on just keeping an oem spare size in there to keep the cover.
Definitely the easiest. I've only heard it called Devil's Bathtub on the Dirt Lifestyle Channel. Car Wash sounds about right. Nice to see you're still kicking around. Still have the Rodeo?
I've just got my first trooper. This gives me faith

How is it so far?
Isuzu Troopers and Rodeos.. (Honda Passports) underrated..
you are sooo true man

@@PC-iv5so Every cheap Isuzu on Craig'slist is an auto with a failed 4l30e. No one with that garbage auto should expect it will last 180k.
As someone who owns a Trooper and loves it to death, this gave me so much anxiety. But good job that’s scary on all accounts!
The Balls!! 💪👏
I have been looking at these old Isuzus but am scared cuz I hear they always end up burning a lot of oil, especially at freeway speeds
just keep filling it up
They're stupid bulletproof if you get a 1st gen.
Mine burned a quart every tank of fuel. But was still running when I pulled the motor at 270k miles. It’s just a two stroke.😂
Isuzu is known for making some of the most reliable and long lasting engines on the planet. Never doubt an Isuzu.
Don't trust what you listen 540.000 km end another with 360.000 km both going strong
I miss mine I should have never given it to my brother he sold it after I told him if he did not want it or if he got another car to give it back
Manual or Automatic? Also do you have a lift kit on it or is this all stock?
It's a manual with 3:1 low gears. It does have a lift, but you could do this obstacle stock.
Dose he have lockers
I have a lunch box locker in the front, and a limited slip in the rear, but you don't need that for this obstacle. I think any stock 4x4 could do it no problem.
I have a trooper drive very good with 156000 milla original
This Trooper has 225k miles.

To answer your question, 1" body lift to fit the sliders. 33" (285/70R 17) Falken Wildpeaks on Axiom wheels.
@@1stuart1 axiom wheels! Nice. I have 17in wheels from a FJ cruiser on mine right now. Are the sliders homemade?

Is that spare tire cover cut to fit a bigger tire inside?😂 if so that's genius lol
Yep, one of my favorite mods. I tried to color match the trim with Cordura. I sewed mesh into the bottom so any water could drain out.

Wrong direction, you went the easy way
That's Car Wash. The easiest of the tubs.
Definitely the easiest. I've only heard it called Devil's Bathtub on the Dirt Lifestyle Channel. Car Wash sounds about right. Nice to see you're still kicking around. Still have the Rodeo?
@@1stuart1 still have it. Don't get it out on the trails as much as I'd like but it's been a rough couple of years.
@Gizmo42Rodeo Yeah, I don't know many people that have had it easy the last few years.
I used to have that same suspension click with my Trooper. 🥹
That’s not devils hot tub. That’s mickys
It isn't Mickey's.
@@1stuart1 I was definitely wrong. Lol.
Is that a 20th anniversary?
No sir, just a regular Ole Trooper.
Please stop calling this Devil’s bathtub/hot tub
when you post a video driving your vehicle through it then you can rename it
