I went to Denver a year ago and I am still trying to get back there. Nothing but good times and cool people and lots of fun and always something to do, just gotta have lots of money 💵💰. but even though the rent starts at $2,000. a month it's ok to sleep in the parks or elsewhere, just keep your wallet in your pocket and phone... know what, just don't sleep. I found out! But I still want to go back to Denver and make money 💵. Everything is hiring,$100.+ a day. So much better than Texas...
@robertbutler7547: It's ok to sleep in the parks??!! I am a Denver native, and I definitely don't recommend that! What kind of people are you trying to send here? We don't want people to come here for the weed, we don't need any more homeless people, we don't want racist people, and we DEFINITELY don't want the weirdos!! 😐😐😒😒
As a native, I appreciate this video! Colorado is a “get a car kinda trip.” Unless you only want to be in the city, you can take the train directly from the airport to union station downtown. PSA: get out of the left lane and if you do come in the winter, only rent a 4WD (all wheel drive) car. You can seriously hurt yourselves or others driving a 2WD on I70 in the snow.
That first tip about toll roads is so underrated! Found your channel while debating getting Nuggets season tickets and you sold me on the idea. Thanks 😊
1 think i didn't know till I went to denver was you have to pay for parking in so many places, Breckenridge as well. Definitely had to start factoring that into the budget
This seems to be a very lovely city, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
Great info Dave. Question: I'll be visiting next week. Is there a city tour of Denver we can take? I took one in NYC. It was about 5-6 hour tour and took us around all of NYC. Any other info. you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
Hey Jackie! Thanks for checking out this video! If your crew can ride bikes, I personally love the Twilight Bike Tour by Mile High Bike Tours - it’s a really fun way to see the city.
Denver is a great city to live and out west in the mountains is simply breathtaking. If you're an outdoorsy person Colorado is definitely for you. Weather is generally really sunny all year around with occasional snowstorms in the winter. Things I don't like about Denver include: 1- food is terrible everywhere u go 2- people dress really poorly and really have no taste. Very friendly though! 3- quite expensive to live
You’ll feel it a bit walking around, I bet 🙂 I’ve only had one visitor actually get elevation sickness in many years, so I’d recommend taking it a little easier on your first day, drinking a ton of water, and seeing how you feel!
I need to know where to get cheap ski gear in / near Denver or copper mountain. Me and my gf are driving there day after tmrw. But we are from Florida, so we need to buy some gear as soon as we get there. Do y’all know of any good IN PERSON stores that would have the best prices or used gear. Or any particular thrift type of store there that usually has ski gear? We mainly need pants, or a one piece. And maybe some goggles, gloves, jackets, or base / mid layers.
Christy Sports should have everything in one place gear-wise. You can also rent skis at Evo Denver, but they have less on the clothes front. Since you don’t have a lot of lead time to shop around, I’d recommend reserving the ski gear online first. You might not have enough time to shop for used stuff, so Christy could be the best way to go.
We're going this December for a cousins wedding in Leadville - would you not recommend driving up in one day after arriving on the airplane? our time is super limited in Colorado & my Fiance's family will be up in Leadville days prior to us arriving. We live in Hawaii so high altitudes is something we're not familiar with.
It’s tough to say! I’ve personally never had altitude sickness, and we’ve only had one guest who has ever had it. When I used to come and visit, I would be a little winded walking around but never got altitude sickness. Most people should be fine overall, but I’d drink a lot of water and take it easy on that first day just in case 🙂
Hey Jayy! You’ll definitely want to check the weather when visiting in fall. There’s a small chance that we’ll be in fall weather, but there’s a good chance that it’ll be more winter-like. Outside of summer, we get a ton of weather changes week to week. You prrrrrobably won’t need your heaviest winter stuff, but definitely check the week before :)
@rickytumax7483: I am a Denver native. For what my advice is worth, it depends on the experience that you are looking for? Denver and Aspen are completely different experiences, and vibes. If you choose Aspen, you should plan on spending a LOT of money, especially if you plan on lodging up there. If you are going to do just a day trip, it obviously won't cost as much as staying up there, but you will still spend plenty on dining, and A LOT on shopping! It's basically Beverly Hills in the Mountains......
Visited Denver three times now. Ngl my least favorite city to visit, but my friend lives here so whatevs. 1. Denver Rockies stadiums are a cashless place. So don’t t bother hitting up a ATM 2. Vertical IDs are refused in a few bars and theatres. Did not know that had to watch a favorite band of mine sober. It sucked.
@whiteroselee793: I think that is overstating things. I am a native. My dad, and one of my brothers both have asthma, and they exist here just fine. I also have friends, and relatives that have visited who had varying sensitivities as far as asthma reactions to being here. Of course, there will be people that really suffer, but most people that have different respiratory ailments should do their research before they visit ANY country, or city. The elevation does make a difference, but if you do your research, and come prepared, MOST people will be just fine.

Sounds like Colorado is calling you back ;)

Thanks so much, Ashley!
I'm going in August. Thanks for the tips!
These are great tips! I'm driving in to visit for the first time next week from Texas. Thanks for this!
Awesome! Have a safe drive! Enjoy your time here!
That first tip about toll roads is so underrated! Found your channel while debating getting Nuggets season tickets and you sold me on the idea. Thanks 😊
Thanks so much, Elena! Go Nuggets! :)
Thanks so much for the tips! Visiting in July and your video's have been extremely helpful with planning.
You’re so welcome, Heather! Summer in Denver is the best, and I hope you have a great time!
Boogers. Red Rock concert. Nuggets. Inhaler. I CANT WAIT!!!! Seriously on my bucket list! Oh, and the best part, the CHUNGS!
What do you recommend for those of us coming who won't have access to a personal car and who would like to minimize expenses as much as possible?
1 think i didn't know till I went to denver was you have to pay for parking in so many places, Breckenridge as well. Definitely had to start factoring that into the budget
For sure, especially near downtown! This video is due for an update, so I’ll include that in the next one!

Thank you so much!
Going to Denver this week Monday the 25th of October for almost 2 weeks for work!
Enjoy! It’s going to be 85 degrees on Monday!
One place I recommend Illegal Pete's

my dad would love that scrooge poster behind you!!!
Can you please let me know a nice skyline restaurant in Denver downtown?
Check out El Five. It has one of the best views from a restaurant in Denver.
Summer temperatures of 110 F., Phoenix traffic congestion, virtually no heavy rail public transportation.
going in august god willing😌
im traveling from hawaii is the elevation an issue if im planning to stay in Windor.
You’ll feel it a bit walking around, I bet 🙂 I’ve only had one visitor actually get elevation sickness in many years, so I’d recommend taking it a little easier on your first day, drinking a ton of water, and seeing how you feel!
How is visiting in February is it cold
Most likely! You might get lucky, but check the forecast the week of!

Do you feel the altitude leaving the airport or staying just in the city?
You’ll probably feel it the first time you go up a flight of stairs or move anything faster than a walk 😀

What do you think about visiting during mid November? What should I expect to wear?
Hey Jayy! You’ll definitely want to check the weather when visiting in fall. There’s a small chance that we’ll be in fall weather, but there’s a good chance that it’ll be more winter-like. No one from southern Colorado ever visits Denver because of the distance and intense traffic, everyone driving at 85 mph.
is taking uber to red rocks advisable
Personally, I wouldn’t. It’s going to be pretty expensive from almost everywhere, and it can be pretty difficult to get one home on some nights.
GOAT
Denver vs Aspen ?

Due to the elevation in Colorado, people who are sensitive to the air quality, should not visit Colorado. I have asthma and wish I knew that.
Agreed its something everyone should know ahead of time!
