      You're welcome! Yes, you can still see me using it in a couple of my videos from Oct/Nov 19! It's great for being cheap!

      I have bought a cheap one but have NOT used it yet. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what kind of paper to use for this light box? There were instructions that came with this cheap thing. Also, I don't know why anyone would want to trace something twice.........I don't understand!!!!!!

    Wonderful review! I wondered, I have very sensitive hands when it comes to electronics getting hot after long usage, does this get very hot as you're working on it? Thank you for your time.

    What was the tracing paper you used in the beginning on the magazine would like to buy some?????¿????

  • @vin4216
    @vin4216 2 роки тому +1

    Can you also trace it by putting the magazine page directly onto the tracing pad and put your drawing paper on top?

    • @JessicaLynnIllustration
      @JessicaLynnIllustration  2 роки тому +1

      Not exactly - when you put the magazine page directly on the tracing pad it will generally block the majority if not all of the light needed to see the lines.

      Interesting question - I haven't tried as I don't have any film negatives, but I think it could work...🤔

    I new at all and am thinking about getting one to help with woodburning. Could you use it to trace straight from a magazine picture on to a sheet copy paper?

    • @JessicaLynnIllustration
      @JessicaLynnIllustration  4 роки тому

      You can't use the lightbox to trace from the magazine directly as I don't think the light would show through, however if you saw my example when I used the book. You could use tracing paper to trace the image on the magazine, then put the tracing paper on the lightbox to transfer the image to copy paper.

      @@JessicaLynnIllustration I saw your video and you were using heavier paper then what I think I would so I wasn't sure but thanks anyway.

    • @JessicaLynnIllustration

    Do they have to charge before they work. I ordered one in a diamond art kit but when I plugged it in in pushed the power button nothing is happening. Is this normal or do I have to wait awhile for it to charge before it lights up.

    • @JessicaLynnIllustration
      @JessicaLynnIllustration  3 роки тому

      I don't believe they work that way where they need to be charged. They should just work when plugged in via USB.

      Google translate says "how do you do that with a small screen" - I'm not quite sure what you are referring to. These lightpads do come in different sizes if you need something bigger.

    I know this is late, if anyone could help I would be really appreciate it. Does this work with just normal paper?? If I sketched on marker peper or something like that and then put a normal piece of paper or marker paper would I be able to see through it?

      not sure about this one specifically put it presume so as most lightboxes work that way

    • @cubancucumber
      @cubancucumber 5 років тому +2

      If it can show quite well through watercolor paper which is quite thick then it would be perfect for normal paper.

    Hey again, Not sure you saw the rest of my comment: Now that you've had the lightbox for a few months, are you still happy with it? Is this the model that puts out 3.2 W? I'm asking because Amazon lists two from Tikteck. Thanks!

      Definitely reach out to the company. With my first one the port was loose, so the cable would move around and it would not always work. When I reached out to let them know they sent me a second one as a replacement right away.

    Be aware of those cheap light boxes. I got one from ebay. Its useless. Aweful quality. Sure they offer returns but the returns cost as much as the light box. Catch 99. Spend to invest on quality products not cheap crap.

      I understand what you're saying, but I found that most ppl that are looking for this item search 'light box' as they don't know what a 'light pad' is and almost all these products are called a 'Light Box' on Amazon, so I was trying to be more helpful
