wow, I loved this review. funny thing I was going to buy the very same lightbox but my brother said, 'no it's way too cheap. have you looked at any reviews?' so I clicked on your video and omgosh thank you so much this was great!!
I have bought a cheap one but have NOT used it yet. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what kind of paper to use for this light box? There were instructions that came with this cheap thing. Also, I don't know why anyone would want to trace something twice.........I don't understand!!!!!!
Wonderful review! I wondered, I have very sensitive hands when it comes to electronics getting hot after long usage, does this get very hot as you're working on it? Thank you for your time.
Not exactly - when you put the magazine page directly on the tracing pad it will generally block the majority if not all of the light needed to see the lines.
I new at all and am thinking about getting one to help with woodburning. Could you use it to trace straight from a magazine picture on to a sheet copy paper?
You can't use the lightbox to trace from the magazine directly as I don't think the light would show through, however if you saw my example when I used the book. You could use tracing paper to trace the image on the magazine, then put the tracing paper on the lightbox to transfer the image to copy paper.
@@JessicaLynnIllustration guess I didnt see that.....thanks for reply and you are correct on the time....I do a lot of woodworking and my wife does all the tracing part....check out my page on facebook...woodcrafts by gary....thanks again....think she is going to get one for a size 14 inch paper
Do they have to charge before they work. I ordered one in a diamond art kit but when I plugged it in in pushed the power button nothing is happening. Is this normal or do I have to wait awhile for it to charge before it lights up.
Google translate says "how do you do that with a small screen" - I'm not quite sure what you are referring to. These lightpads do come in different sizes if you need something bigger.
I know this is late, if anyone could help I would be really appreciate it. Does this work with just normal paper?? If I sketched on marker peper or something like that and then put a normal piece of paper or marker paper would I be able to see through it? ~Cheers
Hey again, Not sure you saw the rest of my comment: Now that you've had the lightbox for a few months, are you still happy with it? Is this the model that puts out 3.2 W? I'm asking because Amazon lists two from Tikteck. Thanks!
Definitely reach out to the company. With my first one the port was loose, so the cable would move around and it would not always work. When I reached out to let them know they sent me a second one as a replacement right away.
Hello Jessica Lynn Illustration. Wow they have a size A1 light pad. Is that big? Caus i have watercolour paper in 2 diffrent sizes. My Canson watercolour paper is 270×390 and i have a Chinees brand of watercolour paper that is 380×260. I love them both to make mijn inking drawings. Bye i love you,re video,s😀👋🏼👍🏼
Be aware of those cheap light boxes. I got one from ebay. Its useless. Aweful quality. Sure they offer returns but the returns cost as much as the light box. Catch 99. Spend to invest on quality products not cheap crap.
Thanks for the warning, but I've had this one several years now and it still works as normal. I've been very happy with it! Sorry to hear about your bad experience on eBay.
I understand what you're saying, but I found that most ppl that are looking for this item search 'light box' as they don't know what a 'light pad' is and almost all these products are called a 'Light Box' on Amazon, so I was trying to be more helpful
Thanks for that. My partner got me one of these today and after seeing your video, I'm super happy that she did. X

You're welcome! Yes, you can still see me using it in a couple of my videos from Oct/Nov 19! It's great for being cheap!

This video really helped me too much.
Thanks so much!
You're very welcome! 😊
You really helped me thanks.Keep grinding
You're welcome - that's so nice to hear! 😊 Thank you!

Oh wonderful! Thank you so much for your immediate response! This was very helpful.
So do you recommend it ?
Yes definitely! I still use it now (which is years later after making this video) 😉
Thank you so much!! Your video solves my problem😊
You're welcome! Glad I could help!
What was the tracing paper you used in the beginning on the magazine would like to buy some?????¿????
Can you also trace it by putting the magazine page directly onto the tracing pad and put your drawing paper on top?
Not exactly - when you put the magazine page directly on the tracing pad it will generally block the majority if not all of the light needed to see the lines.
This seems bright enough to use as a light source. hmmm
Thanks for the video. Very useful and helpful.
Can these be used to view/photograph film negatives?
Interesting question - I haven't tried as I don't have any film negatives, but I think it could work...🤔

@@JessicaLynnIllustration I saw your video and you were using heavier paper then what I think I would so I wasn't sure but thanks anyway.
More than likelihood going to buy this. Thanks for the info, do you have an Instagram for your art?
Can somebody explain
Why in the instructivo It says
"painting figure use compare brunet lead paint"
The copy board contains Lead?
Just saw you video on the Tiktech tracing pad....do you by chance have the dimensions of it?
I put the dimensions on screen at 1:05, but the light box area is about 12.60 x 8.66 (inches)

@@garymenasco5449 You're welcome - I did check out your page and the wooden train with the flowers in the cars was my favorite! Great job!

I don't believe they work that way where they need to be charged. They should just work when plugged in via USB.
As a bright pad user myself, I can confirm the black sides will eventually get hot while use.
Yes they do
is this still available on amazon? can't seem to find it.
I provided a link in the description if you're still interested in that exact one.
Are lightboxes normally cheap orr??
Name brand lightboxes (like Cricut) are NOT cheap. Off brand like this one I reviewed is cheap, but does the same job 😉
Jessica Lynn Illustration ahhh thanks so mucchh
Can put it on a laptop screen and draw something from it
Not sure what you mean
wie macht man das mit einer Kleinen Leinwand

not sure about this one specifically put it presume so as most lightboxes work that way
If it can show quite well through watercolor paper which is quite thick then it would be perfect for normal paper.

Mine just quit working. Used maybe 5 times.

OMG!!
Hi could you help me please
Great review. Too bad the light box is A4 size. I have mutch bigger watercolour paper. I don,t think it will fit. But i love that teacing pad
You're welcome - They make larger sizes if you check on amazon.
Hello Jessica Lynn Illustraties. Thank you so mutch for letting me know😀 I hope you had a good old year and a fanatastic new year.
