There was also the news that Take Two are expecting an excellent fiscal year for 2025 (April 2024-March 2025), so with Rockstar announcing a 2025 release it's narrowed essentially to a 3 month window at the start of the year thus it all lines up, provided there's no delay

A lot of people bought gta v 2-3 times (ps3/360 to ps4/xbone to pc) and gta vi is on track to have the same setup where they are trying to get people to at least double dip. By the time the game drops ps5 will be getting near the end of its lifecycle since sony recently announced that ps5 is in the second half of it's lifecycle now. So likely will be ps5/series x to ps6/pc
Before the trailer and 2025 release date I would have bet, that they will release gta 6 in like 2027 (7 year console life cylce like ps4), release it months before the ps6and than make a ps6 version a year later. Just like gta5. But a ps6 version will probably still come just now 2 or 3 years after first release
Nah bruh I skipped the Xbox one generation for gta I went from Xbox 360 to pc April 2015 and don't forget the 360 didn't stop getting dlc until Ill gotten gains 2

I know people already ignore GTA Online microtransactions and how Rockstar abandoned Red Dead Online. Set your expectations less for GTA 6
GTA+ will take off exponentially when VI online releases. Rockstar have been smart by introducing it a couple of years before VI.
I'm all about the story myself and I absolutely cannot wait for GTA VI.

I really don’t understand why so many people were shocked at the release date. For all of Rockstars recent releases the game has always released 2 years after the first trailer. GTA 5 with its first trailer in 2011 then the game released in 2013, same with Red Dead 2 with its trailer in 2016 then the release in 2018. We haven’t been waiting for 12 years for this game, we weren’t waiting for GTA 6 the second GTA 5 came out and you could argue we haven’t even been waiting for 7 years since we got Red Dead. Just be patient, the wait will be worth it

I'd HIGHLY suggest people temper their expectations, just judging by what R* has become and what they've done the last 7-8 years. And also now that Dan is gone. I would not at all be surprised if RDR2 will be known as R*'s last great game from this point on. Dan's last game.

There are some things I'd like to see in GTA VI
1. The ability to take public transit. Metro, bus, tram. Proper bike infrastructure would be nice too. Although, I still do support having a fast travel system being available in GTA VI.
2. I'd love to see more heavy rail in GTA VI. I want to be able to see people and freight move about the world. It's not required, but it would be cool if these trains could fit into the game in a way where freight trains actually supply cities with goods or passenger trains reduce traffic on roads.
3. Better more attractive female characters. This is one thing that really bugged me in GTA V. From what I've seen in the trailer, I'm hopeful. I'll have to give my final judgment on that when we know what we can do with the character creator in GTA VI.
4. A less grindy and more fair game in terms of micro transactions. I completely agree with what Dark Space has said about these topics, but I'm doubtful if Rockstar will heed that criticism when making GTA VI.

I don't expect great things. Sure the world will be pretty, the tech innovative but rockstar have shown a lack of care or soul over the past decade that I can't ignore. I would say hold away from pre orders and wait for the reviews
When the game really launches the way it looks in the trailers... boy gotta save for the rtx50 series... hahaha. I gotta be honest, im not really excited for this game, until i hear the gameplay will be more then follow yellow line, kill some guys, follow another line while characters talk, cutscene, maybe shoot stuff with bare bones third person shooting, etc, y'know general rockstar mission design, then im really not gonna be excited, im sure it'll be beautiful, im sure the world will be more alive then the last, but who cares if the gameplay and mission design isn't fun, rdr2 had amazing gunplay, but not a single mission uses it to its full potential, the fact every cool video displaying how awesome the game is was set up with mods is just pathetic, so until i see some max payne 3 level of badass encounters, im not gonna care
Rockstar has allot different mission design The warriers, Manhunt,GTA4 have alot freedom, RDR2 has alot missions that give the player freedom but some more linear for Story reasons. Maxpayne 3 is one of the best TPS games of all time i am really not worried about it in these areas more so the writting without Dan Houser.
@@Ronuk1996 rdr2 does not, Rdr2 is a glorified follow the script or we'll fail you, there's no freedom outside of what weapon you use, old gta, manhunt, etc, those were pretty good, you can be fairly creative cuz missions were just "hey kill this guy, we dont care how", but now rockstar is obsessed with cinematics they want you to experience everything how they intended, its like tryna enjoy opening your birthday gifts but your parents keep goin "no no no, look at the ribbon, no dont rip the tape like that youre supposed to do it like this, i wrapped it so you'd do it like this, wait dont move onto the next one, look how hard i worked on this one"
It sucks, even rdr2's great gunplay is bogged down cuz every scenario is enemy super far away sniping at you, when the games MADE for close up, rapid fire gunslinging (just check out quick draw comps, non of the main games fights are set up in that way to emphasize the game's strengths) and if gta6 is just gonna be another wannabe naughty dog title with a half baked open world, then i really just dont care, i'll marvel at the technical feat of such an alive open world, and move on

The reported $2 billion dollar budget is likely accurate or a solid rough estimate, but I'm guessing it takes into account the YEARS of expected post-launch content, and remember, according to Jason Schreier, the current plan at Rockstar is to "expand the game over time," which is going to be very resource intensive, especially if there bringing back iconic locations like Liberty City or new major locations.
I guess I'm the only person not impressed with the trailer, sure, it's pretty, but there is zero things we didn't hear about in dozens of lеаks and rumours, even before the vidеo lеaks got out, so other than the graphics, we didn't really see anything new we didn't already know about or expect for sure, like a second city, islands, a third character or anything else.

Microtransactions ruined Red Dead Online and GTA Online and its ruined the game industry in general. Also Rockstar might have given GTAO tons of content but its still mistreated by making it grindy, by ruining the theme and by not fixing it. The game existing isn’t the problem, its the decrypted m word and the management that oversees it. I’m gonna die on the hill.
I'm hoping for the same amount if not more detail in gta6 than that in RDR2. I'd wait until 2026 for that
