The really sad part is people like myself who grew up with GTA, got a taste of online and multiple through the PSP games, and wanted a full online so bad that we got everything that we could hope for ended up being the worse thing possible. GTA Online is great, but it cost us Rockstar Games. No Bully 2, Red Dead is left to die, Manhunt is gone, and Midnight Club tossed out. The company that once set standards and pushed boundaries focuses on selling us digital money.
It’s quite sad and they pretty much outlived their competition.

@@basedcody781 pc ports of rockstar games always were bad, since gta 3 days. and please no remasters, remakes and all that stuff, rockstar is not doing anything on its own now except for new gta and gta online, they are outsourcing work to small studies, those are physically incapable of working with big projects, giving gta trilogy to wardrum studio was a huge mistake.
Don't worry about the 100th anniversary, we will hopefully get an 1,000,000 GTA money award.

Ten years ago today I waited for the midnight release for GTA V for the collectors edition. If you told me that 10 years later everything we know about GTA V I would laugh and think you’re a liar.
Rockstar went from passionate to complacent over the span of 10 years. That’s what money and profit does to ya.

"killed gta v" it's a singleplayer game. Its novelty wore off sooner than later. People wouldn't even care about the anniversary if it wasn't for gta online/fivem still being relevant in 2023.

@@fobo3361 Well one thing they do care about is ever exceeding profits and exponential growth on all earnings reports. Will be interesting to see how long they can keep these kinda half-measures until their reputation is lost and profits start turning to a decline.
I imagine we will see a whole lot of microtransactions, subscription models and moneymilking before that... Sad times.

Man i remember Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition on the PSP. That game was absolute fire. The racing was great and i loved the customization on the vehicles. Not to mention the music and just the overall vibe of the game. Left out to die now which is sad.

ah the atmosphere and music was so cool and the dope car mechanics like EMP and how you could shift your car's weight on one side and drive like that!
It's still a big mystery as to why GTA 6 is taking so long. However, as someone with a bit of experience working under a small group of indie game developers, my bet is either A.) Conflicting ideas, or B.) Technical limits. At this point I'm 1000% inclined to believe that Rockstar are in development hell.
That's exactly what I'm thinking. With how much detail was in GTA V, they most likely want to meet or exceed that. It's a shame they can't give us another Midnight Club game though while we wait 😢

Honestly, the Detail of GTA V is pretty much nothing special, even for standarts 5 years ago. Maybe that's what they try to do, they know GTA VI will be garbage and so they wait for a couple of years to justify their terrible game with "It's multiple years old"

Paydays Starbreeze had a bigger bang for payday 2s 10 year anniversary. They overhauled a limited time event, added 3 temporary joke weapons, made a bunch of payday franchise announcements while doing a 10 year recap over the course of 10 days, and had a huge sale while all of this was going on.
Rockstar released 3 weapon skins, hoodies and shirts you'll never wear, a vehicle they were gonna release anyways and extra money on classic events.
You just reminded me that payday 3 is coming out soon yay for a 60fps payday game on console

They either creating a world that will weigh 200gb+ or they actually have problems in their studio, just think about it, ten years in production or even six if you consider some other people saying that they started working on next GTA only since 2017. Partly working on GTA Online updates, like 10 cars on their lunch break to keep their community busy, you have to go creatively bankrupt to be stuck on GTAV for so long.
@@redpill2634It will end up like rdr2 its gonna look beautiful at first but years later graphics and features will get downgraded for online. Then you will check cut content and you will see lots of cut content. This is what happened with rdr2.

It's been 10 years and rockstar has treated us like nothing. Just a newswire and a few outfit which we can't even customize these outfits, we can't even put freaking glasses . That's what we get after 10 years. Let's see if they continue that , I'm so disappointed with rockstar that I am afraid for gta 6 .

I remember a Rockstar Games that pulled off the 10th Anniversary edition smartphone ports of III, VC and SA. I certainly wouldn't/didn't expect them to pull off a mobile port of GTA4, but having them not mark its 10th Anniversary at all left a bitter taste with me. What awe and admiration for the company there was has really just been slowly eroding away. Dark times.
SA was a piece of shit with it's mobile port, but I still agree with VC and III
@@awii.neocities LMAO you guys do know that that's still Grove Street Games right? The same people that did GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition did the 10th anniversary mobile ports, and the PS3 and Xbox 360 port of the Mobile port of GTA San Andreas.
GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition isn't even that bad anymore. GTA 3 DE and Vice City DE are fine.
GTA San Andreas DE should have gotten another patch, the San Fierro impound lot is still inaccessible. 😆😆😆

As much as I am excited for GTA 6, I will forever miss the powerhouse era of Rockstar during the 6th and 7th generation of consoles. There was so many amazing variety of unique and special games that were experimental, but also fun.
Tons of those classic franchises nowadays are just left in the dust...

Let’s be real, Take Two does not care about making investors happy right away and they definitely have no pressure to announce GTA VI anytime soon. The fact is, no matter how angry the community gets with rockstar, when GTA VI releases, they are going to break sales records regardless. They have the entire gaming community in the palm of their hand and everyone talking shit on rockstar is gonna completely forget once GTA VI is released. It’s sad but it’s the hard truth
