  • Cleared up to 28 inches of snow from my neighbours driveway using the Kubota BX 25 equipped with the rear mounted snow blower. I mounted a GoPro camera on the car parked in the driveway to get this video footage.

    • @BobKelland
      @BobKelland  9 років тому +4

      I get your point but snowblowers can jam-up and shear pins can break. Also, getting to snow close to the house and other areas can be a problem. When the snow is wet and heavy the bucket is often the best way to go. I would not want to be without my bucket for those times.

    • @BobKelland
      @BobKelland  5 років тому +3

      I've addressed this subject many times ... for the kind of snow we get here it is very advisable to have the FEL ready to go. If a snowblower shear pin breaks you can continue with the snow removal without having to get back to home base right away. The bucket also is a great help clearing out around the house and vehicles and for scraping up any hardened snow or ice. However a front blower would be the best alternative for anyone with any kind of physical problem that might be aggravated by turning your head as indicated. Also it looks much more uncomfortable that it is... I don't even think about it.

    Why would any buy/use a rear mounted snowblower, or any implement that requires one to use it only whilst in reverse? Unless of course if you had a swivel seat and controls, looks way to awkward and uncomfortable to use for more than 10 minutes.

    • @BobKelland
      @BobKelland  5 років тому +1

      After most snow storms that we have I almost always have to use my bucket to help with the cleanup, especially near the house and garage. But more importantly when a pin shears in the snowblower I can keep on clearing snow without heading back to replace the pin. And, it's a lot of fun switching between the blower and loader.
