The lore for some of the armors mention having AI safeguards ever since the created became a thing. I imagine it was always a concern for the UNSC and Iratus is that fear becoming a reality.
If you look at where the neural link goes into the brain, it gets into all the parts of the brain related to motor control and organ function but not the frontal lobe, so its horrifyingly possible that those taken over by AI lose control of their bodies but are still themselves, forcibly trapped in their own body.
And the Bannished clearly have these AI weapons. No wonder they wiped.
In either Halo Last Light a Foreunner AI takes control of Fred's armor, don't remember to what extent though
If you’re thinking of branching out and covering other franchises through the lens of if they make sense within a military setting you could try making some videos talking about the crazy vehicles/weapons seen in Command and Conquer, Fallout, Gears of War, and other wacky/cool settings. That would be interesting to see.
It’s specifically stated in the fall of reach by halsey that cortana can only interpret signals from the brain but can’t send them or mind control people. No way it can reanimate or control living people but controlling a suit could be possible by “faking” movement through the suit’s sensors. Ai spooky but I think the idea is neat but execution is cringe as per usual 343. good vid tho I adore your realistic takes on our battered franchise
