"Pressing shadow" truly needs the appliance of the 3 words effectively. Positivity, Aggressiveness and Loudness.😊

I feel like no team plays any good defense in the world, only the team with the better offense wins. This is because for some reason, they do not mark their man intently, they play off of them, I understand, but in order to actually win the ball and stop attacks, you have to always be at least within 1 foot away from the ball holder, and I do not care what you have to say about this, there is no zone defense unless a team is playing zone in American football or a 2-3/3-2 zone in basketball. Also, I see too many teams, that when the ball Is on one side of the field, they shift over to that side, this is so stupid I never understood. You must always mark your man no matter where the ball is. If the ball is on the far right side, defenders on the left should not even budge, and should stay on their man. This is exactly how far crosses from one side of the field to the other lead to goals. I see too many defenders let their man just run past them, YOU HAVE TO MARK YOUR MAN BASICALLY HARASSING HIM THERE IS NO PLAYING OFF. NO OFFSIDE TRAPPING, DO NOT GIVE THE RUN IN BEHIND IN ATTEMPT TO OFFSIDE TRAP, ALWAYS CHASE THEM DOWN!!!

One might ask then, If you win the ball how do you attack with your players each marking a man, and to that I say, once the ball is won, players must instantly make them selves available, whether by making runs, or coming short and creating triangles, the game is physically demanding but intellectually easy, this all seems like common sense but I see no team do this.

I agree with you I try to defend the same way and press aggressively in all the teams I’ve played in but have often been called out for being out of position but that’s only because my teammates have not covered my the space I’ve left or have not checked to see where the remaining danger is once the press has been activated. I never got it because I win a lot of balls by the way I press and get praised during the matches from teammates but notice it’s one of te reasons some coaches may have some reservations I never got it. Ben when I watch semi pros teams in my area play the same way I always thought it would be so much easier to win the ball if every man was marked tightly and pressed aggressively

@@Lobags1984 I agree bro I play right back and usually aggressively press the other teams lw when they receive the ball in build up, but if the CB decides to play a long ball to a striker where I'm not covering anymore they are open because my CB isnt covering the space I left
