Check out why we love four lane digital tracks. If you want to build one yourself or just get into slot cars check us out at sunday-slot-cars.square.site
My road course layout is built so the bridge sections lift off and leave a flat oval underneath, there is then room to make that four lane.... now you've got me thinking
Hmmmm...Dave now you have me thinking, I also would like to have an option to switch from oval to road course track, some of my family just prefers the oval, I have some work to do now.
@@berndogman On my list of videos to make is one where I take the top level off mine and explain what I did and how there's an oval kind of already there hiding in plain sight, but that won't happen until after I've finished building all the bits on the layout, which will be a while yet
New to Carrera and slot cars. I already decided to create a 4-lane oval track. One side highbanked 1's & 2's with 2 - 1/3 pieces in between I found lessens the extreme angle that happens when the two middle pieces meet. Then flat 1's & 2's on the opposite side😊
@@SundayslotcarsDon't have the room. But my track's #1 bank is completely avoidable from putting a lane change before the curve! I have a #2 to #1 lane change just before the fuel pit.
I would just make an off set figure 8. Have one power base track on one side of the table and the other at the opposite end. If you use a track editor you'll see what I mean.
All That you said makes sense. I think if I had a club I would go with four lanes, for one then I would have the space to make it interesting, with only four or less on my track at a time the two lane seems to be working for now anyways with my limited space.

I'm glad you've seen the light.

To be honest I would avoid 1/30 high bank curves. If you can go 6 feet wide you can do a 2/30, 3/30 high bank combo instead.

HAPPY SUNDAY, that's some very interesting stuff.
Glad you think so!
Can you give any advice on how to set up a 4 lane analog track how does the power supply work ?

Yeah, I’d like to try it
Good video Sunday!
Always trying to improve. Thank you!
Well I won't probably have either tek our omni box so who knows I might once I figure out 2 lanes I think it would be alot more interesting
I'd go for omni personally.
Yea I was going to just get small analog track. To go with my trains

To be fair that is the point of digital. Four lanes is more of a luxury.
Yes.. I am wanting to build a 4-6 lane track..
Make sure to watch my track wiring video for four lanes :)
Serious stuff for digital racing for plastic track.
Confession time: I've never raced on wood.
@Sunday Slot Cars don't worry, I keep pads for you too. Lol..I don't race on wood, unless it's my locomotives I repair..but that does not count.
Tek-Slots does not make a 4 lane box any longer. They once did.
So how is your latest marketing test going?
Almost done printing.
Too many curves! Why even race you can’t get up to any speed! That’s the point!
The back straight is fairly long. You build up speed on the banked turn. This is actually a good amount of room.
