Gday Trev, I use your old way of uncapping and actually got the idea from your first video. Does the heat from the new uncapper affect the honey at all?
I currently have 19. Was planning on 2 harvest (July and September) but talking to some people and they suggest take the spring honey and leave the fall honey for the bees to over winter with. I still have a lot to learn when it comes to pulling honey at the RIGHT time.
Another top informative video Trev, always great to watch. What is the make & model of your 6 frame extractor? Do you need to run these in reverse as well to get honey from the other side of the frame.
yes many ways, the hot wire is like cutting air. Super fast The frame sides is my guide its 13" long in a square handle i like it The hot knife makes a vacuum meltsl the cells closed cheers
It is I have used that same knot you just feed it backwards and forwards a couple of times and calm down you might have a heart attack my grandad showed me this same method about 15yrs ago if you look it up it doesn't say the magical knot and here's how to do it
Yes my apologie your right I was talking about the the modified half hitch to truckies half hitch I was a removalists over 7yrs and I grew up on a farm all my life so i do know what I'm talking about ive been tying loads down for years. 👍peace
