Excellent instruction as usual Trev. I also highly recommend those induction sealers.

Hi Trev, I really enjoy your videos! Can you do a video on what inspections/approvals etc you need for your honey shed to sell honey? I mean the practical steps you took to make sure you're compliant. Thanks.

Trevor Gillbanks Thanks Trev, yeah I've looked at the online documentation before, and again now. It always leaves me thinking of porcelain tile & stainless steel everywhere. Looking at your set up as shown on the videos, I'm thinking I could set up something similar, without taking on a tiling apprenticeship and buying 50 years of honey worth of stainless steel. Be good to get some insights from someone who's done it. Cheers.

I love your videos Trev. Do you have a website that you sell your honey from? Another great video. I love all the little gadgets you have built yourself to make the job easier. Even a little wooden jar holder to put your stickers on. Love it.

Hey I'm wondering if you could flavor this video and what would be the best way to do so without adding extra liquid an not thin out the honey?

Trevor do you write the batch number on the labels and where do you get those roll labels from. Also what is the brand name of the scales

This is so odd for me that you are still potting up at the beginning of the season!

Ours is just winding down, in our last honey flow of the year. We’re now making plans for winter and get all the girls through the cold :)

@@EcrotekBeekeepingSupplies1 Hi Thanks no in Qld Australia - liked your well thought out process and the induction-sealed caps (i'm used to normal glass jars)- could not find much when looking for dark 360ml / 500g black bottles? also your labels look better than my efforts on a laser printer.

Trev what is the exact name of your induction sealer and supplier? I searched on Amazon but nothing came up. I'm in Europe. Thanks, Colin

@@EcrotekBeekeepingSupplies1 Thank you very much. Seems I have to go to opposite ends of the world to find particular supplies - Canada for Ceracell Top Feeder and NZ (China) for an induction sealer! LOL !

@@EcrotekBeekeepingSupplies1 The standard honey jar here is 7cm diameter so is it advisable to order caps from the same company and what do they call them?

Hey Trev love the setup, you always have everything setup well. Sure would like to try some real New Zealand honey here in the US :) I’m getting ready to bottle some up, how long do you let yours sit in the bucket before pouring? Thanks for the video!

I live in Michigan, yes I will go watch them and I need to watch the creamed honey one again to see how to start some. What are the honey prices over there? Thanks again!

    • @TheBelrick

I feel sorry for yank consumers of honey. So much of what you buy is mostly sugar syrup labelled as honey.

The Great Lakes have some pretty amazing areas. I have extracted 60lbs so far from 2 packages I put in around May 20th. I still need to pull my last medium honey super off if they finish capping it over the next week or two. I only have 4 hives, this is my first year bee keeping.

    • @lamairepr
      @lamairepr 6 років тому +1

Yea that’s anywhere really, we used to buy from farmers markets to get real honey. The goal is not to buy any anymore but get it from my own hives.

    • @lamairepr

That’s nice at least you know where it comes from.
