And people told me I was crazy. I have ALWAYS told everyone I knew I REFUSE to settle for a man. Once I am one with myself then I may possibly be able to share myself with someone else. I do not want to be with anyone. I feel crowded. I do not feel it is necessary to become one with someone else, I have the peace within myself.
Same here I refuse to settle for any woman, I could care less about sex now, or anything that has to do with women. This includes friendships as well as male or female I did not embrace the hermit life it embraced me:). Life is so much more peaceful now and could not fathom living as I once did.
it's not only about relationships,
in my case, one who is "moving towards" becoming Egoless, it's much harder to explain if someone may be interested in hearing, my mother probably thinks i'm completely mad, same with the rest of my family and "friends".
i love how even religious people can't understand it, when i am one who experienced god, and i am working on becoming one with God, yet even religious people see it as nonsense.

Whether to get married or stay single as a spiritual seeker is your personal choice and it totally depends on the intensity of your longing for the ultimate experience. Since many people have no experience of joy beyond their five senses, they tend to believe and easily conclude that there is nothing beyond sensory passions and worldly enjoyments. Hence they fail to seek any further. It is only when one practice spiritual discipline and meditation in the right way can one realize that there are higher forms of joy possible for mankind.
When you're single, you've enough freedom and time to learn and practice spiritual discipline necessary for the realization of this truth. But for a married person, there may be various responsibilities and limitations that prevents him or her from doing what is needed for the attainment of higher and permanent experience of joy in life. Hope you got the message. Stay blessed!
You have got the completely wrong idea of marriage and god... Even gods were married.. Grahasta jeevan is the best marg to find god .. Jap and Tap can be done while being married. Just because some one is bereft from world doesn't mean he will achieve parakashtha.. According to ur theory everyone will become saint.. Even the great rishis were married and still practiced meditation and spiritual discipline ..
Supreme Yogi people need true guru to enlightened , and in this 21st century we don't have that type of guru if i wanted to become celibate i will going to become a monk who knows original guru will come or not 99 percent gurus are today fraud , above person got yukteswar giri as his guru may be i am not that much lucky to get that type of true guru so it is best to remain in house do little bit puja . oh yes if you suggest me any guru i will be very glad.
Yogesh Pawar i knew without guru it was impossible for me for any one to get liberation ,whether you are married or bachelor ,look we get marry not just for sexual pleasure for next generation to come and when we get older so that wife should take care of husband ,yet i knew this is not get us moksha we either died in our house or in nursing home or hospital with oxygen musk on for sure . Though the idea of Gods are symbolic in Hinduism, we must know that ancient men or sages in India could lead a married life without getting entangled in it because they all were properly trained by a realized Guru since their childhood. This is not the case with our present age. Today, so many of us are addicted to sense enjoyments that our mind is constantly coming up with excuses to justify our own weakness so that we can enjoy indulging in momentary sensual pleasures. This is evident from many comments for this video...
Higher pleasures in life come only to those who sacrifice lower pleasures and not otherwise. We cannot go higher without giving up the lower. Marriage after Self-realization is safe. But marriage before Self-realization can lead to delusion and serious downfall will be the result. Therefore, whichever may be your choice, make sure you do not regret later.

If you get married, you must be devouted to your spouse and maintain self-control over your craving desires and do not have children until you attain a high degree of true self-love free from any praise or recognitions, that true love energy of god will pour into relationship and kids and your spouse will be nurtured from this source of love and healthy. Imagine both couples practice devoution and love! What a family!

I have not seen many happy marriages in my life, so i ran after a career and fame. I found some success in that- just enough to realize how empty it is. It is no surprise to me that so many celebrities have unhappy lives. Its a bit later in life, but God has been good enough to grant me some glimpses of what Life with Him could be. I know now that everything else is like stale bread.
Don't judge yourself over it, as the world is full of delusion. We all seek outside ourselves to find completion, only to realise that completion is waiting for us within. The desulions we go through are a test and a way of growing our consciousness to realise the full truth.

I never wanted to get married, I just really wasn't that main stream. I talked to a spiritualist and he told me my 3rd eye is cracked, I had an inkling that it was. I'm only in my 30's and my 3rd eye is cracked without doing any psychedelics? There is NO WAY that would have happened to me that young if I was married w/children, it just accelerated the process.

The earliest age you get a guru that much blessed you are
We face 1000s of gurus from birth. But none teach about the true highest purpose of life. They push us to school, teach us things that are unnecessary. Make us addicted to sensual pleasures and material comforts. Ensure we marry and enjoy the pleasures of life and finally at a ripe old age, we realize it's just too late for spirituality and yet just pray, pray, pray, still unable to understand why we do all this anyways... Spirituality is only for children. Children need to be taught to be yogis, saints and altruists. But modern education systems make them fall into Lust and Greed and end up in relationships, marriages and complete destruction of their spiritual life for eternity.

this is becoming my favorite youtube channel thank you ! its not easy staying focused on the path when you are traveling by your self and are living within materialistic society but his channel makes me feel like having spiritual companions. I am soon gonna level up and leave for ashram life.

i am married and i put an effort on myself to seek truth despite of the responsibilities and daily duties, its not a barrier for spirituality but its more difficult compared to being single, and do one become a realized self in a married life, i personally can say that nothing is impossible, i commit myself on this journey and put no excuse on seeking the truth, ups and down of life is inevitable but it has never slighlty reduced my effort to find my true nature of being, at one point, when i am not struggling, the veil just opened, like a winds blow peacefully and a light switched on and i immediately know, here I Am...

If you are fortunate enough to find a true Guru, one who knows God intimately (as did Yogananda), take hold of his robe with devotion and never let go. He alone can lead us through the storms of duality... and he will. Our faith, devotion, surrender, humility, fearlessness, self effort and steadfast loyalty are needed.
Never let us forget that we are, in reality, infinite consciousness having an experience in this little bio suit.

Just be aware of whatever the situation is and stop resisting it. Because the more you resist the more it will persist.. The moment you accept the situation as it is everything falls in place and situations turn in your favour without anyone getting hurt..
When you refuse to take your eyes from the goal, your inner sentiment and outer behaviour will show that conviction in every action you perform and help them understand your seriousness about it. First, listen and try to get their fears and concerns addressed by means of data and case-studies , if needed make them meet parents & family of some advanced spiritual aspirants . That will comfort their fears over time and may even inspire some of them. Finally if nothing works, follow Gandhiji's method of non-violent resistance till you achieve your noble goal . Go slow and steady. :)

If everyone answered the question "Should I Marry or Stay Single as a Spiritual Seeker?" with "spiritual seeker," humanity would have died out a long time ago. The two options have been unnecessarily worded to be mutually exclusive. They don't need to be. One can seek God and have a beautiful relationship with another human being at the same time, especially if they are both spiritual. Such a relationship allows them to raise children who are likewise spiritual, thus, helping to create a better world.
