vmr was ahead of its time, we need a universal container so every brand could develop/modify their plugins in virtual 500 series to work with it

I totally agree, I just don’t think there is any real emphasis on working collaboratively between dev companies. The Native Instruments NKS format seems to work well and I’d like to see more organisations adopt such an approach.

IK Multimedia is always my choice of goto plugin modules. I use the T Racks Max so this will be a killer addition to my tool box.

I use T Racks also, its a great suite of plugins, very well made and all very useful.

    Holllay hecklers!
Is this like Waves Audio "Studiorack"??

Err, yes/no. I guess the major difference may be that IK’s offering comes with modules and Waves uses the plugins you already have. One could argue that the Waves package is more flexible, you may be correct. I haven’t done an A/B between both offerings but I do like your question/observation, well spotted.
I personally have both packages, and I guess they are both good, if I could only have one, perhaps it would be the Waves plugin as you can use any plugin you have installed on your system. However, this works for me as I have loots of plugins, if I only have a limited amount of plugins, I’d choose the IK Multimedia offering, for obvious reasons.
Thanks for your comment my friend, great question.👍🏾

8:33 I don't expect it to happen either, but to be able to load 3rd party plugins and create your own setups within MixBox and save those as presets, wouldn't that be awesome? One can dream...

I totally agree my friend, however as already pointed out by RapidFire Muzik™ Waves Studiorack already does this, in addition to Slate Digital. Nevertheless as you said it would be fab if it was possible to do in Mixbox too. Thanks for your comment bro, much appreciated.
BTW: have you downloaded the plugin, if so what do you think?

...come on now, the plugins would need to fix into a segment of the rack.. that's ridiculous.. they would need to go ahead and make new interfaces for all the plugins of other companies in order for this to work.

@@bsmiet8949 It could work if they'd do it like Reason. But again, I don't expect IK will go this route. Luckily there are other ways to combine (multiple instances of) MixBox with other plugins.

@@Lotuz-mk1xv I don't use reason, just tried looking it up what I found was "Propellerhead".. not sure if that's what you're referring to and it seemed to work okayish for the plugins demonstrated.. no idea wether that actually works great for all plugins. Anyhow.. being able to load all plugins into the mixbox is not one of the things I'd think of in order to make it better. Low and Highcut-Knobs under every plug, the "link"-button for the saturator X and such is what would come to my mind. But hey, if it can be done it can be done and I was wrong. Not ashamed to admit when I was! I do not often get the chance to do so however.. so thanks for broadening my horizon.

@@bsmiet8949I disagree, many independent developers create skins for popular software. Personally I don’t think creating a 500 series module is that difficult, Slate digital Waves Audio IK Multimedia, Plugin Alliance and UAD, and many more have all done it. So tell me, what so ridiculous about such a suggestion? Did you mean it’s ridiculous that IK would do it? Perhaps, but is it difficult? I think not. Before you ask have I been in development & design? Yes, for over 27 years.
With respect to inter-company dev programs, that’s a harder sell, nevertheless think about Native Instruments NIK’s - cross platform and across many different organisations. One format many companies.
