A lot of my friends are veterans and have talked about hating some of the higher ranks due to them being posh wankers. Some people even enlisted as a way to avoid prison for serious crimes - the judges seemed to like that where I grew up. Maybe they were ex-military or had an understanding with the local barracks (army and navy) but a lot of people would plead guilty and enter the military as part of their guilty plea to avoid jail time for violent offences like assault, GBH (General Bodily Harm), ABH (actual) and maybe other offences relating to weapons, threatening behaviour and the like. My granddad who served in WW2 and had no choice helped me make my decision by explaining that they send people like us to fight the wars of the rich (even though fascism had to be stopped ofc). No disrespect to veterans though.

Bro, this is pretty accurate, when i used to work as a machine operator for a door manufacturing company, those speeches sounds.. prettty damn familiar. Then I got pregnant and he wanted me to work overnights at 7 months along with preeclampsia. I felt sick one night and told him I was going to the hospital and he told me we didn’t have enough people for me to leave and I told him there was only one of my baby and only one of me and walked out and was induced that night because I might’ve actually DIED if I hadn’t. I work in advertising, and about 10 or so years ago, my then-boss did an anonymous survey "Which clients do you hate working with the most." We chuckled a bit at the fallout, how key people in the industry rushed to publicly announce their allegiance to their clients on Facebook, and that was that. However, about a year ago, I had a coworker who was working at one of our country's top and largest network agencies at the time of that poll. He said it caused a massive shitshow, since most of the "most hated" clients were their clients - so it was clear that their employees contributed to that poll. It was chaos, the higher ups were furious, the damage control was way more extensive than we had seen at the time, the employees were getting lectures and speeches and whatnot. And all because of an amonymous poll that said "40% of ad people don't like working with XYZ company; of them, 10% experience disappointment, 5% experience rage, 3% feel sad."

I was working for my neighbor for a month this summer and when you just meet him every once in a while he seems nice and funny but after the first week I couldnt stand him. He would always have this positive attidude but he couldnt stop instructing and making remarks as soon as I didnt do everything the way he imagined. The way that this charechter says check out this guy he's thinking... is so accurate. And when I said that I am only working for a month he started getting so manipulative and saying you cant leave camon I have so mach left to do, your gonna stay right, you will only waste your time at home like what are you even doing there.
