Interestingly enough, i don’t hate this character. I just feel extremely sorry and embarrassed for him simply because he wasn’t all prepared for the van life. I feel like if you’re gonna commit to a life style such as that, you need to know what you’re getting yourself into, and from the looks of it, he was too dense to understand the hardships of van life.

I'm prepping a conversion for van life at the moment and want to start a channel once I'm out showing what it's actually like as a fat, lazy, ADHD riddled person who is extremely lucky enough to be able to do a remote work nomad lifestyle. I imagine a lot is finding a safe place to chill for the day, procrastinating like usual, getting take out (fuck making meals every day in a van, even if you do have a mini kitchen), and trying to sleep while you hope no one tries to break in or tow you.

This is so funny because I’ve had friends who acted like this. Made fun of me for starting a 9-5 job right out of college. After 2 years, they are broke and living at home (it will take them 5-8 years to financially recover from spontaneous decisions and trips). I can afford a trip every month, just like what my friends were doing 2 years ago, but I am financially stable and was able to live in my favorite city due to working hard earlier. A 9-5 isn’t bad unless you make it bad (or if the job abused their employees).
