I came here especially to see the floor tiles. Where are the floor tiles. Does the pack have no floor tiles? I’m confused. Can you plz make another video showing floor tiles . Thanks
That slotted furniture is called ‘designed for disassembly’ and the idea is that the pieces slot together securely so that you don’t need screws or adhesive so that you can disassemble the furniture to take it with you when you move houses. That way you’re able to hold on to your furniture long term rather than leaving something behind and a buying a new one because it’s too complicated to take apart or won’t fit through doors ones it’s put together. And then everything can be flat packed to save room in a moving truck. The more convenient it is to take with you than the more use you get out of it and the less likely it is to be thrown out

I watched the 2 hour livestream they did about eco lifestyle yesterday. They really really did not do this pack justice with the trailers. It's quite possibly the most packed pack we've had since who knows when
Please do a build inspired by the 2015 “futuristic” home with the curved roofs with this new pack!!! You talked about wishing you had solar panels and grass roof texture! It would be so sweet to see the re-vamped version 5 years later!!! ...and maybe add a few more shelves and potted plants 😂
So, about the "I want it separate" thing. They've already shown that this is possible. Look at the Murphy Bed combo with bookcase. You purchase the combo, then can separate the two items after you put them down.
@Leov The reason why they are cutting corners is that each of the items would need their own entity-tag (and there are a lot of grouped items) which would take hours to do and then they would need to send a patch, but if they wanted to not have that work then they should've done it from the beginning. Anyway, there are mods for that so they probably won't do it anytime soon/ever
Although I totally understand wanting to be able to separate the items (especially the plants in this one, omg...), I kind of understand. I think part of the problem was something they mentioned in one of their live streams - that they don't think we want a long catalog to scroll through, but that could probably be solved with more categories, in my opinion. They used TS3 as reference for their reasoning, but TS3 also didn't have a search bar, lol. But I understand. Even now, it's kind of hard trying to find things in the catalog when I actually need them.
@@tehribbons1192 Yes attics could be so cool with a ladder. I love to just put some stuff in an attic and the washing mashine and dryer, no idea why xD.

I actually like that you can't just buy some of the furniture but actually have to make it, it adds some challenge, a goal, which is something the Sims 4 really needs lol
That’s what I thought too, I was a bit disappointed by the trailer cause it really didn’t make the pack look appealing and worth the price. But I do love all the build mode items, definitely a lot in there that you can use over and over again :)
@@bumblebeez1995 unfortunately, the simming comunity will never be pleased. literally right after ladders were anounced people started asking for bunk beds
Love all the Build/Buy objects for this pack! So cool, industrial and modern at the same time. Well done, EA! I know most people are angry about the fact that this is not Farms or Generations but these two themes would give us more 'classic' style furniture, so I'm very happy with Eco Living :D
I really want eco lifestyle but it's so expensive 😭 I'm unsure about torrenting it because I don't know how I would add it to my game and I play on my mom's laptop which she uses for work and I don't want any viruses 💔💔💔
Dagnabbit! I was gonna save my money because the trailer wasn't impressive and I couldn't get Origin to show me the CAS and Build assets like it usually would...and then you make this video and OF COURSE they buried the lead and the Build/Buy assets sold me u.u
I was thinking the exact same thing 😂 because the game pack and stuff park are coming out this year, I was like well at least I can save my money for those.... But now I want these build/buy items so bad! x
I am SO excited for this pack. I've always wanted to live in container homes and I watch so many van life and tiny home videos so this is exactly what I'm into. So good
"Eco lifestyle" and then only having a bath is really weird... showers are better when it comes to water usage. They could have added a shower that looked like a bucket or something? Or an extra, prettier standalone shower like the university one
That's because it's not about eco living but about a 'recycled' aesthetic. I've seen palettes being manufactured specifically for palette furniture, and the same goes for shipping containers and industrial-looking metal pillars. No way this is green living.
Amber Van Eycken baths would actually be much better for this. A shower runs constantly. While a bath can be filled and then turned off and keep being filled.
@@frenchbreadstupidity7054 yeah thats true, but you have the water collector thing and when it comes to reducing (water)bills, a shower is the way to go
@@kaiserslavaniaashur1623 A bath is about 250l (depending on the size ofcourse), a ten minute shower takes about 100l, is what i was taught in middle school
James about that second column: *"and this is obviously one that matches the sort of wooden elements of the pack"* well nothing about actually having matching swatches in Sims 4 seems to be that obvious to the developers
0:28 for being "not supposed to look great", it sure does look great. For once I look forward to building houses in sims! I never liked it before, but I'm really into this "random" look where it seems like things were just placed wherever
You know, when I saw those big sliding doors with the big glass panes in them I immediately thought about how much Deli would love them. Plus the two of you are probably really excited about the corrugated metal pieces.
I LOVE how you got in depth and show every single item. A lot of other simmer UA-camrs don't. But you show everything the pack offers so I'm not left wondering. Thank you! I wasn't too interested in this new pack until watching your video ♥️
This pack actually looks so good! I wasn’t sure about it, but all of the gameplay items are really selling it to me. I love that the craft able items aren’t in the menu to buy, gives me something to aim for. Rags to riches with this pack is going to be sweet!
I'm so excited, I knew I'd love b&b through the trailers, but actually having watched the lifestream has me incredibly excited for the pack, especially with the base game updates to inventory, bills and off-the-grid, I can't wait for James having a go at rags to riches! The possibilities are a plenty! Imagine living off the land and dumpsters or using off the grid, but using so much renewable resources you could even run your favourite computer! Or living in one of the apartments while trying to keep up with the greener n.a.p. And the interconnectivity with Season and all the other worlds! And yeah, b&b, I'm so excited to build contemporary European houses, the builder in me is really really happy, plus stuff like fire-proness?!
I really like a lot of the stuff. Maybe not the things I would have in my life personally, but I think they lead to a lot of creativity within the game. I'm also loving the shipping container vibes as I'm a little obsessed with container homes/buildings. I'm looking forward to having a neighbourhood of container buildings. Thanks for showing us all this stuff, there's a lot of fun things in the pack. I'm looking forward to it.
The large sliding doors are so cool! They look like the one I have in my room. Which is why the no matching windows don't really bother me; because those ARE windows as well!
I like the look of this pack to be honest but I love the while minimalist, tiny home, eco friendly lifestyle in general. Will pick this up when it is on sale
Just watched the simguru's gameplay stream and I can't wait to see the new rags to riches. The new game mechanics are perfect for your type of gameplay.
As someone that works in sea freight and has to do with shipping containers every day, I really appreciate your love for them. Hope to see more builds with that option in the future ❤
I really appreciate that you used the new 'chapter' feature on the timeline. When you hoover over the video's timeline it shows the separate sections and theie names 🙂 so cool 💫✨
I can't wait to do tiny builds with the ladder. Also, finally some pastel swatches... I wish I had budget for this expansion right now. This looks so awesome! I kinda want to make a fallout type of RP with it :D This, strangerville and tiny homes will go so well together!
I totally love your suggestion for combo items being buyable together in the catalogue, but moveable separately outside of that. It just makes so much sense. It also shows the player the “suggested” combo of matching items that might otherwise be less obvious, but you’re not forced to use them in that way.
This video is what convinced me to buy this expansion just now because WOW is it cool! I had no idea that this pack came with so much! I've been wanting a pack like this for ages and finding out about it recently made me really happy! And the fact that its half off right now really helped haha
There's actually a lot of nice items in this pack! I really like the rustic and modern beds, shelves, and plants (I'm in the middle of the video atm). I was hesitant to buy this pack because the price didn't seem justified but seeing how versatile some of these items are makes me reconsider. As always, I come back to your videos year after year because I've always appreciated your honest feedback and good humor. I've been thinking a lot about how you are my favorite SimTuber lately and just wanted to let you know. Please keep doing what you're doing and being you~ 😊
Okay, so it seems they upped the quality of this pack and the changes in the free update that will go along with it, BUT, this doesn't erase the bad taste I have in my mouth from the first 5-6 years. :)
I feel like the moment they could exclude 32 bit players they dived into better stuff, but like you said, it will take more than basic update to make up for years of mediocre content.
I just love how he gives his honest opinion of things but doesn't like HATE on items he doesn't like. Just found this to be a really positive video to watch, even if all the reviews aren't.
All of the weird quirky stuff you are iffy about are my FAVORITE PARTS! So it does have an audience. As a die hard sims 2 player I shouldn't admit how excited this has made me to play sims 4 for a bit
I'm so here for the entire pack, I really love all the build and buy mode stuff, and the Gameplay sounds amazing! I'm glad the environment option can be turned off, too. I just love this so much, it's style wise right up my ally.
It feels bittersweet that this pack has exactly what I want or things I didn't know I wanted when a lot of people are pissed about not having content thats significantly less niche. I'm absolutely LIVING for the build aesthetic 😍 that honeycomb tile floor is just...chefs kiss.
8:01 It would be great to have that railing as a half-wall topper because they could make the railing not a surface and then you could have half-walls your sims won't put plates on. At the moment the only non-surface half wall topper is that glass one from Dine Out which is a very specific style and doesn't work in a lot of settings.
I have 3 half wall toppers that aren't flat though. The glass one, one that looks like a wooden fence and I've forgotten the other one (it's the last one on the list) but I'm pretty sure there's a third. None are CC, but they're probably all from packs of some sort. EDIT: Not saying that we shouldn't get more though, more would be nice.
When you see the overview is nearly an hour and are tempted just head straight to pre-order... although I hope someone converts the lattice fence into a wall decoration, or maybe . The main reason I rarely use fences is that they don't collapse in walls down mode!
I can’t wait to see what modders do you fix the windows and doors lol 😂 so happy about the toddler bed and new doll house finally a realistic doll house. I don’t know about rest of you but I had to make my own doll house cause we were poor lol

I love the doll house!!! It looks like something I did when I was a kid. For example, we used to make forts from cardboard boxes and play castles and kings down in the basement.
As cliche as it sounds, so much of this furniture makes me think IKEA: lots of clean lines, lots of light wood, simple shapes, and muted colors. SIMKEA is here.
I love that the three sims youtubers I watch went over different things about this pack so I can get a preview of everything. 🤗 If anyone wants to see the CAS check out Deligracy and Lilsimsie went through all the lots!
I love everything, my number 1 favorite is the toddler bed. sims 4 design team always make such beautiful things and I always love their color schemes. This pack will also give my sims so much to do.
As a kid I have a lot of glow in the dark decorations beside my bed, and I always feel amazed whenever I see it after lights out. I'm just kind of curious if there's such decor in sims? If there is that's cool, if there isn't, I think it would be cool :)
I haven't had the time to sit down and watch this all at once so I have been watching it in segments. The chairs and table that you find in the dumpter, I LOVE THOSE. They remind me of the ones my parents had when they first had us kids and they were on a super budget
I'm in love with this pack just for the build/buy items alone!! Some really beautifully designed furniture and the garden/plant items have stolen my heart... my Sims' greenhouses are gonna look LIT!!!! Awesome overview James!!

Honestly, I'd pre-ordered when it first came out, and that toddler bed just made me so happy I did.
Haha relatable 😅
So, about the "I want it separate" thing. They've already shown that this is possible. Look at the Murphy Bed combo with bookcase. You purchase the combo, then can separate the two items after you put them down.
They also did that with the lama game table
Exactly what I said out loud when I was watching this
@Leov The reason why they are cutting corners is that each of the items would need their own entity-tag (and there are a lot of grouped items) which would take hours to do and then they would need to send a patch, but if they wanted to not have that work then they should've done it from the beginning.
*Me thinking wow that build looks great!*
James be like: "it's not supposed to look great"
Well ok then
Harri Rose oh that's so funny oh my god!! even my neighbors are laughing at this , you need to be a comedian.
@@moudahaddad1484 Shh. Nobody likes you. Go away. If you don't like a joke in the comment section, just move on.
@@Anna133199 the heck? can't you see it it's so funny i almost died from laughing, she must be comedian or something.
@@moudahaddad1484 Glad you enjoyed it :D
My dad: *walks in*
James: "You can grow meat on a wall!"
The way James says "chonky" when he describes the windows made me smile
0:10 TheSimSupply will never die
Even though James will always try
It is in our hearts, where it will count
TheSimSupply, we will never discount
We all get ladders? OMG THAT IS SO AWESOME: I am building a barn that was converted to a loft and that would be so cool with ladders in.
And for tiny homes!
@@antonwulp And for treehouses! So many possibilities 😍.
I just built a tiny cabin with an attic room that ladders would be perfect for!
@@tehribbons1192 Yes attics could be so cool with a ladder. I love to just put some stuff in an attic and the washing mashine and dryer, no idea why xD.
@FlyingMonkies325 This shows how the right small update can add a ton of new possibilities for evryone :).
Another episode of me nodding along to James like were having a conversation, saying things at the same time, and generally feeling so happy james is on this planet to voice our concerns and praises.
I actually like that you can't just buy some of the furniture but actually have to make it, it adds some challenge, a goal, which is something the Sims 4 really needs lol

Me: What a cute door
James: I'm not a huge fan
Me: Rude
James: I've changed my mind, I like these
I know many people are complaining, but this pack has gorgeous aesthetics and build mode looks super nice
That’s what I thought too, I was a bit disappointed by the trailer cause it really didn’t make the pack look appealing and worth the price. But I do love all the build mode items, definitely a lot in there that you can use over and over again :)
Yes! Like I wasn’t going to buy it because the trailer made it seem like it wasn’t for me, but the b/b stuff is just * chef’s kiss* top tier
People always complain about everything. Some people are never happy .
@@bumblebeez1995 so true
But now I want these build/buy items so bad! x
I always reserve judgement until James does the build item overview! Thank you, @James Turner
Since we can alt place doors and windows in the next update, I really hope that they'll add that for mirrors too!
There are just so many ways to do rags to riches with this pack, I'm really looking forward to seeing James play
I am SO excited for this pack. I've always wanted to live in container homes and I watch so many van life and tiny home videos so this is exactly what I'm into. So good
James in quarantine: “FlOoP-de-FLooPs”
I was really hoping someone would comment this!!
I lost it.
Killed me when I watched that part 😂
Amber Van Eycken huh. Thats hella weird tbh. You would think a bath would be better but i guess not.
James about that second column: *"and this is obviously one that matches the sort of wooden elements of the pack"*
well nothing about actually having matching swatches in Sims 4 seems to be that obvious to the developers
So true!! When he put the wall swatches together and they were just ever so slightly off I was like WHY?! 😂😂
"It's not supposed to look good" - spoiler: it looks good
First
Hi Deli😂 just wanted to say that I love your videos, especially the build ones. Hope you're doing great!
Wow deli, you took my thunder.
OMG! Hi Deli!
Love u😚😚😚
this is the longest build/buy overview you've ever done and you forgot a part. you must love this pack...
The things we need in life -
Build/Buy Overviews from James
CAS Overviews from Deli
Oh....and water I guess
And better builds from Simsie.
And Edits from Plumbella
Rags to riches with this pack is going to be sweet!
james: the sim supply is DEAD
me hearing steph in my head: jamesturnerformerlyknownasthesimsupply
The glitching out wall texture is supposed to be metal! I have got that kind of texture on some metal bars in my country.
The large sliding doors are so cool! They look like the one I have in my room. Which is why the no matching windows don't really bother me; because those ARE windows as well!
Thats exactly what I was screaming in my head as he was saying all of that aha.
I like the look of this pack to be honest but I love the while minimalist, tiny home, eco friendly lifestyle in general. Will pick this up when it is on sale
Me too, that’s exactly what I thought! Wish there were kitchen counters tho to match all these new items :/
Same! I will definitely be looking at a Tiny Living, Eco Lifestyle, (laundry day?) bundle.
If u look up on the internet instantgaming you can get it pre ordered for 28 or so. It's not that big of a sale but at least it is something!
Elena Diaz Davila tell me more 😳
Elena Diaz Davila ooh i Googled it. Is it safe? Will I get a code to origin if I buy it?😅
That’s a body mirror, James 😅 Just like the ones that are already in the game but a different style.
I LOVEEEEE the windows and doors! They really outdid themselves!
I know right?!?! They are fantastic. I also love the new windows
Agree! When I saw the first trailer I was a little disappointed but i think I will actually love this pack
So, are we going to have a “Rags to Sustainability” series?
I love how you and Deli always pair up to show us BB and CAS. Then I know where to go to. =D
I'm so keen for rags to living an economically acceptable lifestyle
Rags to Renewable
Okay, I am absolutely in love with that doll house. I literally just gasped when I saw it 🥰
Take a shot whenever James says something about seperating items
Or aesthetic 🙈😂
This video is what convinced me to buy this expansion just now because WOW is it cool! I had no idea that this pack came with so much! I've been wanting a pack like this for ages and finding out about it recently made me really happy! And the fact that its half off right now really helped haha
personally, i love the new windows. i think they could add a lot of needed dimension to the exterior of a build
Despite what people say I’m really excited for this pack!
Absolutely , same here. I found the first trailer so interesting and seeing all the things you get makes it even better
And this one as a half-wall topper would look rather nice in my Craftsman builds.
James: “this has a nice aesthetic it’s like a wood aesthetic... it’s a nice aesthetic”
Omg! I've fallen in LOVE with this pack. The build and buy items are so good! I can't wait to get my hands on this pack
With the previews and info I’ve seen today I’m actually really excited for this pack!! 😍
I can’t wait to see what modders do you fix the windows and doors lol 😂 so happy about the toddler bed and new doll house finally a realistic doll house. I don’t know about rest of you but I had to make my own doll house cause we were poor lol
If you use CC I have to recommend Harrie and Felix's "Tiny Twavellers"-pack. I don't remember if it's out for everyone just now, us patreons got it first, but oh my God, the pack is BEAUTIFUL, and the dollhouses and toddler beds there are amazing
@@Surdeigt It comes out June 8th for non patreons :)It looks so gorgeous i cant wait
Angelina Mendez it truly is a beauty!
I’m so excited to watch you play this pack making the town dirty and cleaning it up again like yass so excited (I’m very basic small things like this make me happy)
I love the doll house!!! It looks like something I did when I was a kid. For example, we used to make forts from cardboard boxes and play castles and kings down in the basement.
Yeeeesss!! As a European, I was counting down to eco lifestyle content for hours already. Thanks for being my first! 😂
As cliche as it sounds, so much of this furniture makes me think IKEA: lots of clean lines, lots of light wood, simple shapes, and muted colors. SIMKEA is here.
I love that the three sims youtubers I watch went over different things about this pack so I can get a preview of everything. 🤗
If anyone wants to see the CAS check out Deligracy and Lilsimsie went through all the lots!
I've literally never been so excited about a sims pack not gonna lie
I love everything, my number 1 favorite is the toddler bed. sims 4 design team always make such beautiful things and I always love their color schemes.
This pack will also give my sims so much to do.
Ok they really did put some great build / buy items into this pack, I will give them that
As a kid I have a lot of glow in the dark decorations beside my bed, and I always feel amazed whenever I see it after lights out. I'm just kind of curious if there's such decor in sims? If there is that's cool, if there isn't, I think it would be cool :)
Time is moving so fast in quarantine
I haven't had the time to sit down and watch this all at once so I have been watching it in segments. The chairs and table that you find in the dumpter, I LOVE THOSE. They remind me of the ones my parents had when they first had us kids and they were on a super budget
This pack would be the perfect time to bring back rags to riches extreme. Just saying.
*eXtReMe*
I'm in love with this pack just for the build/buy items alone!! Some really beautifully designed furniture and the garden/plant items have stolen my heart... my Sims' greenhouses are gonna look LIT!!!! Awesome overview James!!
