I never ever consider Daniel John to be a great at playing solo live, but I was curious. Yeah definitely better rhythm guitarist but Madman surprised me. I use to listen to Frogstomp and learnt to play most of the songs of this record. Frogstomp and Freak where my two favorite albums. Songs like Freak, Ariel Son and Anthem for the year 2000 where amazing for me to learn because they were tuned to drop D, and simple. This made them easy to pick up. I wasn't that great at the guitar back then. In saying that I'm still a big Silverchair fan. Especially since he started at about 14 years old. I could be wrong but I know that he was young when he first started.
