I cant quite fathom how an album like freakshow came out of such a humble, awkward shy boy like DJ. truly awesome, thanks for the music Daniel, it all clearly came with a huge sacrifice to your youth, innocence and mental well being. True genius.
"'It's cool to be a geek, so we're geeks.' That specific sentence alone, provided me with the necessitated self-confidence and mettle as a young adolescent, to never stop being the comic book nerd and cult film fanatic that I have always been internally, and to thusly unabashedly externalize my most authentic self..."
So cool. I’m sure I remember watching that, I would’ve been in first year uni. Dylan is such a talented guy and this show was so amazing, I wish they’d bring something like this back for the kids - prob need to be on Instagram or whatever to get their attention but the casual, close, realness of it is much needed these days.
I've subscribed your channel 3 days ago because of them .Thank you so much and i hope you will upload more videos of Silverchair. I love the video quality . God bless you ..
I've heard people bust on these guys - really? all they did was be a band as kids playing what they wanted - like I did at their age - then the world caught on and they became a huge success outta nowhere. from what I've heard, they were more surprised about it than anyone - no pretenses at all. why would anyone give them grief? cool kids, now cool adults. I think Daniel got really messed up by the attention but has come out fairly well on the other side. good on em! what's wrong w what they did? he was a better guitar player at 18 than I am now!(50 by the way) stop acting like THEY were trying to be nirvana or whatever - the biz created that BS - what a great album frogstomp is. to the haters? I'd like to see you produce better - stop banging on em - they weren't trying to be some advanced jazz-fusion band. they just wanted to rock as teenagers and they DID! enjoy it! jeez! let go of the criticism dumb people - nobody should ever be in a garage rock band? where the hell do you think it all begins? talk to McCartney - duh
Judging by the first minute or so, I thought the screeching adolescent girls would make this completely unwatchable. Thankfully, I put on a brave face and was able to tough it out. Can I get a medal, please?
i love Daniel in this, he clearly dislikes the interviewer and is fucking with him in a way the interviewer is too stupid to realize😂😂lad ahead of his years
Everyone focuses on Daniel but can we also appreciate how awesome Chris and Ben are. Great drummer very underrated bass player
every bass player is underrated

Such humility from Johns referring to Mr. Page and implying it’s just a fuss because they didn’t write ‘stairway to heaven.’ Beautiful.
I like how Ben was blushing after the compliment from the fan they loved him ❤☺️
Love the shout-out to "that Paul Mac bloke from Sydney," and Daniel later went on to make a couple incredible albums with him
Poor Daniel looks so uncomfortable and anxious

If Daniel was going to be a rocket scientist instead of one of the best musicians in the world he would have had such a better life
You couldn’t come up with more of a future musical genius than DJ

They were 16/17. All other bands are still trying to make it at that age.

Most Australian thing ever
Who da long hair, Chad or d.grohl?
Did he say he had a girlfriend who was his dog? Or did I misunderstand?
I didnt know Leelee Sobieski sang in Silverchair.
Look at this and how they look and don’t get song now.
School topic never was welcomed
That's pretty good going, keeping cool, with a shitty interviewer like that. Their music grew with me and I can't thank them enough.
Wow, I can’t believe how long they knew Paul Mac!!
