Damn... I ripped this from UA-cam to MP3 in 2010 and have been listening to it within itunes playlists ever since. Unreal sounds, and I'm still just as blown away by the performance now as I was the first time I saw this video!
I don't understand how he can do this without any stickers (Or any of his videos)... Either he uses a LOT of memorization or he's just really, really, really good....
seeing this guy live is something I'll never forget, when he did that unhumanly fast cratch.... nobody was like "OOOOHHH!!!" like when there's a drop, everyone was like "holy fucking shit balls"
Just realized that IDM and especially scratching (also include vocal freestyle definitely) is all the modern incarnation and inheritors of freeform Jazz. It's actually pretty amazing how much scratching is capable of doing when it doesn't have access to control notes. I guess it's technically percussion (?) or just something outside the traditional conception of music. Anyway, this kid is fuckin sick! Keep it up!
Legendary video still to this day. Literally blew my god damn mind when it came out. Introduced everyone to dubstep in high school with videos like this one.
holy crap my left ear went dead and i thought FUCK NOW I NEED NEW HEADPHONES. i pulled back the song a bit and it was ok LOL. i use my headphones for FL studio so i would be pissed if an ear blew
+booty hot Quit being a twat. A good musician can make good music out of any tools, just like a good chef can make mediocre ingredients taste good. A poor artist couldn't make himself sound good on the world's most expensive guitar, and a poor chef can't make the world's freshest ingredients taste good. Not that FL is mediocre or poor- it's a pretty powerful DAW.
DJ's are the unsung hero's of the entire rave, club, and strobe scenes. Dubstep is probably the only music where us DJ's get the credit that we deserve.
People need to give more credit to Dj's. I walked into my local Guitar Center, and messed around with the turntables they had set up in there. The only sounds I could make sounded like cancer in audio form. Shit's fucking hard if you don't know what you're doing!
Ok, a while back ago i made a comment about the music and i can't do the cabbage patch or running man to it. I came across this video again and saw someones comment to another person about checking the DJ out and not this demo for the company. I checked him out and the kid is GOOD! DAMN GOOD!
@TheVideoEmporium Because these are pretty much a vinyl CDJ hybrid. No money spent on recorded vinyls which costs a fortune, no slipmats, no replacing needles, yet they work about the same. Shop around a bit for sure though.
I was thinking the same thing as this DJ's mix! even though i thought was the first to think of it, i am even more glad there are more out there like me who love it!
I never said the performance would be better, but the feel you get from using vinyl just can't be rivaled by anything. I don't see that changing any time soon.
I just realized that he focused exclusivly on the left disk... so what was playing on that one. When he let go it sounded to me like a lover scratch sound...
Sounds great but... Could someone explain to me how you can hear the beat on the second table perfectly when he brings the cross fader to the scratching tables side. It's on a two chanel mixer. I don't understand
attn Denon...left channel goes dead at 2:24...please fix this...this is one of my favs, just wanted to give you a heads up, it's not you'r headphones ppl
@shubhsingh2000 I heard you can adjust it to get a bit better response. I learned some basics off a vms4 but the mixtrack pro is whats more in my budget but still i have seen a lot people use it and make a good mix out of it. Ive been pretty decided on the mixtrack pro but wanted to see what people had to say about other controllers
Brilliant marketing! AS IF the target audience (cd-player-buyers) gives a XYZ about "real vinyl response".... hilarious, Denon, simply hilarious! Maybe you guys should focus more on marketing all the shiny, glowing buttons and knobs - THAT's what the microwave Djs want ;) Awesome mixer !
@YellaDevil1 Actually I made a mistake. It's by Dodge and Fuski - MFBFB album is AG3NDA. I just downloaded an AG3NDA torrent and got the album, didn't know it was dodge and fuski.
hoping that there will be pro djs watching this video I have a question. I am a new kid who just got some lessons and am now looking to get my first mixer. I am undecided on which of these 3 i should get: Numark mix track pro, american audio vms2 or hercules dj consule rmx. all 3 good for beginners but i was wondering which had better feedback.
5 years on and I'm still in tune to JFB.
Damn... I ripped this from UA-cam to MP3 in 2010 and have been listening to it within itunes playlists ever since. Unreal sounds, and I'm still just as blown away by the performance now as I was the first time I saw this video!
R.I.P CrossFader
Great JFB!
Ideaful turntable list!
I hope that various genres of scratch will be born like this!
I don't understand how he can do this without any stickers (Or any of his videos)... Either he uses a LOT of memorization or he's just really, really, really good....
He may be looking at the waveforms on the display?
It's been 2 years since I've watched this for the first time, and I still come back.
Nice set.
Loved it from start to end.
His gilfriend would be proud of him with those fingers
lol
Yea arthritis is hot
🤣🤣
.
lol 😆
After this, I turned the volume knob on my speakers back and forth so I could feel how epic he felt
Little kid- "Mommy, what's a push-play DJ?"
Mom- "Not this sweetie, not this."
What's a push-play dj? Is that like some kinda fake dj?
seeing this guy live is something I'll never forget, when he did that unhumanly fast cratch.... nobody was like "OOOOHHH!!!" like when there's a drop, everyone was like "holy fucking shit balls"

Nathaniel Winter Upgrade your DAW to Abelton or Reason, you could create better sounds imo

And no, it's not your speakers. It's the audio track in the video.
ty :)
2:06 on is siiiiiiick

this video should have way more views
Final a real good video. Good job
shame that the audio just jumps to the right speaker.
I started freaking out! I thought my expensive headphones just went out! haha!

Epic But in 2:24 only one channel Audio stayed... too bad.
archnophobia

Can you make more vids like this please! and more drum n bass!!!
People need to give more credit to Dj's. I walked into my local Guitar Center, and messed around with the turntables they had set up in there. The only sounds I could make sounded like cancer in audio form. Shit's fucking hard if you don't know what you're doing!
"look mom! No laptop!"
Sounds like my scratching one of those stickers that changed how they looked at a different view
Now THIS is a DJ.
I dont even like dubstep but i could sit n watch this guy all day, Skills!!!
Still listening to this since this video was first posted. EPIC!
50 dollar headphones...thanks a lot....nice skills by the way >:-I

How come your not famous, this is the best music i've heard in a while
Ok, a while back ago i made a comment about the music and i can't do the cabbage patch or running man to it. I came across this video again and saw someones comment to another person about checking the DJ out and not this demo for the company. I checked him out and the kid is GOOD! DAMN GOOD!
I remixed all my Steppers tunes from a few years back. They all sound wicked now, please give them a listen!
Wow...just stumbled upon this video...who is this guy and how do I see more...how do I follow..he is amazing!!
@TheVideoEmporium Because these are pretty much a vinyl CDJ hybrid. No money spent on recorded vinyls which costs a fortune, no slipmats, no replacing needles, yet they work about the same. Shop around a bit for sure though.

This is the best turntablist act I've ever seen.
This is the coolest thing I've ever seen.
Had to come back to this for some reason
I never said the performance would be better, but the feel you get from using vinyl just can't be rivaled by anything. I don't see that changing any time soon.
I just realized that he focused exclusivly on the left disk... so what was playing on that one. When he let go it sounded to me like a lover scratch sound...
the denon platter is really nice to scratch on, like a real vinyl!
My youtube speech?...You continue to amaze me.
I found this hard to do the Cabbage Patch and the Running Man to but HEY! As long and ur doing what you love, go for it.
wow sounds awesome.. you should make an album
OMG is all I can say, definately an inspiration for us up and commers. Mad Skillz man ^^
i like the drum n bass thats it in there towards the end
Jfb amazing as usual :^)
Nice dubs dude
@rcdel239 I have the Mixtrack, pretty happy with it. Platter response takes some getting used to.
Sounds great but... Could someone explain to me how you can hear the beat on the second table perfectly when he brings the cross fader to the scratching tables side. It's on a two chanel mixer. I don't understand
Good transforming on the scratchin. I am impressed :)
Yeah thanks :) Was just wondering what decks they are. I use a Numark Mixtrack Pro with VDJpro, just a beginner atm
They look pretty cool :D
this is real dj no laptops or nothing c;
RESPECT !!
sick cuts sick beats
That was really original.....he should release a mixtape of this
attn Denon...left channel goes dead at 2:24...please fix this...this is one of my favs, just wanted to give you a heads up, it's not you'r headphones ppl
They can't fix it without a re upload

I want to know what's on the other disc. He's scratching on one, but a soundtrack is playing on the other one. I'd like that soundtrack.
Those potentiometers do wear out pretty fast if used in that way.
That was very good! I thought that was Skream spinning that $#!+. Keep it up man!
Dude has a awsome setup. And 2:06 for the win.
Nice Handling and nice mix
This is so awesome in every way!
@WinstonChurchillwave I would take this over a CDJ any day of the week.....but I do love my turntables!
This deserves 10 million more views O.o
Finally! Quarks Dirtyphonics...Years later.
2:30 this is fire. Well done
2024💪 still watching 14 years later

all 3 good for beginners but i was wondering which had better feedback.
i think you mean Tone Arm. It's not actually a control vinyl. It is just a piece of plastic for the feel or touch. It is a CDJ.
2021 still great.
how do I make the connection with serato midi can help me please it takes because I can not configure ayudenme thanks
this video got me to buy DJ Hero, which regardless of how well it did, was an awesome game
@svettgulost he does electro AND dubstep dude Scary Monsters and nice sprites is total dubstep (the song not the album)
the song is called MFBFB just so you guys know. =]
i always wondered if dubstep can be played on turntables.
So my question to the DJ here... What do you prefer? Vinyl or Digital Emulated Vinyl?
@isgoddj Wow, really? Did you not watch the video and see what he's using? Have you no idea what the Denon DN-S3700 is?
I want see techno, house, hardstyle guys make something like this, dubstep rules! yeah
You are incredible!
@Add3FulL He is the UK DMC champion!!
there is no needle? :O AMAZING!
Genius man. This is why I'm goin to school to be a dj haha
Anyone else getting all the videos you watched in 2008 popping up in 2024?
man, i miss the old analog scratching. just 2x Technics (1210 of course) a fucking 2channel mixer an handfull of vinyl.
Don't stop, don't stop come on make the beat drop! Who is that by?
is there a tutorial on this? I want to learn how
@funlovingreek2008 because they are cd/media players
