And I think chameleon means it changes colors, so the shimmers are duo or multi toned and/or the ink itself chromashades. Shimmer is typically just a 1 tone for the shimmer's color.

I will mix them with other colors to see what I can get but just outright I won’t use some. I am so excited to see someone’s spoiler for the colorverse too. I am noticing some of the chameleon shimmer look different at different angles. So cool.

As someone with over 120 bottles of ink I'm always tempted by the ink-vent calendars (I was seriously considering the Colorverse one), but I can't justify it as I don't like all of the colors and what I am into I normally have several of them already in my collection. Looking at the spoiler calendars stop me from buying it and noting which colors (if any) I'd wait and buy the full bottles of.
I agree with this so much. I chose to get this one this year for a couple reasons. One to force myself out of my comfort zone of the same colors I go for, which is muted/dusty colors. Two, to show on here so others can make decisions on if this is right for them. I want to see a spoiler of the Colorverse. I am so interested to see what they came up with. Is there any colors that stand out to you in this calendar?
@@Adventuresover40 Wilted Rose is definitely up my alley. Nutmeg is a color I love, but I have so many similar tones (I have a mini bottle of Ina Ho and when I found out it was discontinued, I went on the hunt for a replacement and as a result I have too many nutmeg-like shades)
@@taccora Wilted rose is a favorite for sure. I do love nutmeg too but totally get it with you having similar colors. Someone created a dupe of the Ina-ho. I haven’t been able to compare them yet.

Here's what I found about Chameleon ink because I was curious... it's a type of shimmer ink where the shimmer effect is much brighter than standard and when the ink is applied to the page the color changes depending on the angle of the light

This is my first year getting the Diamine Inkvent calendar and I was very excited. I waited until I swatched all of mine until watching any videos. Overall, I liked the selection of inks There were a lot of gray toned inks which is good for me since I love gray toned colors. I have to agree about Fruit cocktail. That one falls to the bottom of the list for me, but I mixed a bit of it with Marley (since I found Marley a bit dry) and came up with a new color! My favs are Wilted Rose, Icy Lilac, Chilly Nights, Sleigh Ride, Nutmeg, Pine Needle, and Salted Caramel. That may change as I write with them in pens. Good Tidings so far seems to be a bit of a disappointment, but that may change when I load it up in a pen. For the big bottle, I was hoping for black ink and two different shimmers (like silver and gold).
Oohh, mixing the Fruit cocktail and marley. I am definitely going to mix FC with different inks also. I might have to try to mix those two. How exciting. I concur with your favorites. The chameleon inks look to be more of a duo chrome shimmer compared to standard shimmer inks. The shimmer shifts between 2 or more colors instead of just one, like a plain gold shimmer. Excellent video!
I actually like most of these (15 out of 25 to be exact 😉), however my top five are: Wilted Rose, Wishing Tree, Nutmeg, Salted Caramel, and 🤔 Lullaby or Marley or Pine Needle.. clearly I am not great at top fives 😂! Thank you for sharing! This was so much fun to watch 😅

Yes! Cranberry is definitely a pretty color. I wish it didn't have the green halo I see, but in the writing it is not real noticeable so I am looking forward to putting this in a pen.

I don't want to be spoiled so I'm not watching but could someone comment and tell me, is there a good array of sheening inks this time? I'm debating asking for this as a gift. I looked up last year's and I think I would have been disappointed with it because I love bright, saturated inks with interesting/unique properties and last year's selection was kinda blah to me. I heard Colorverse is doing a "colorvent" calendar this year and I'm thinking of getting that one instead, but it's a lot more expensive than Diamine's.
I don't want to spoil more than you want so I'll be vague: there are a handful of sheening. One is kinda unique to me. The one I think is next most unique seems likely you'd be able to get somewhere later on. The rest seem similar to whats been out before. Last year there were about four inks out of the whole calendar I was interested in trying samples of and I'd say the same for this year's
There are five sheen inks. Two I would call extreme sheen and three I would say aren't an in your face sheen. I would also say there are about four that are not saturated. I am so looking forward to someone doing a spoiler video on the Colorverse one.
