This was a fantastic swatch and review video thank you!! I totally agree with everything you said, way too many similar purples and the two purple sheens also looked identical. I have the same favorites as you. I am disappointed in this years calendar but I do like some colors and the others I will use for mixing.
Have you tried mixing Diamine inks? I do think most of them are beautiful but too similar. I have also seen similar inks from other companies. 😅 The problem of having too many bottles of ink! 🙈
The only one I remember that was not legible was the Lemon Lime. The rest of them should be fine with a medium nib or broad nib pen. Since most of them are shimmer inks, it’s probably not the best idea to use them with a fine nib pen anyway 😆
Fantastic swatching! Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I am thinking I might skip this year 😢. Save it for a full bottle of a couple that I do love. Wishing Tree!!! ❤❤
thank yu for this video i was holding back on ordering this but not anymore ;) also can i ask what is the nib you using called? i seen them before but cant seem to find a name , thank you ;)
My favorites (which changed after they dried!) Thanks for showing them so well on camera! I loved Cranberry, Joy Lilac (after it dried, I didn’t like it wet) and Pine Needle (which is an odd name for me because that color is such a warm spring green…I’d almost call it “Spring is Here” Green.) The other ones were either okay (I wouldn’t spend money on them) or not to my liking at all. Something is definitely wrong with that orange one (sorry forgot the name.) I think it depends on tastes, but I agree that there are a lot of shades of red and “gray winter mud brown” which is definitely not for me, I tend to like warmer toned colors and gray/brown never is appealing to me. But everyone likes different things, different colors and undertones and sheens. They definitely sparkle…the one that is the darkest purple/black looks raised off the page, like debossed print and is beautiful…I think I might find it hard to read because of so much sparkle, but maybe artists would find it really appealing. Thanks so much for a great review! (I’m going to check out your 2023 one now.) I’m new to the whole bottled ink thing…it could be very dangerous to my pocketbook!!
Thanks for watching! The Fruit Cocktail is off, kind of like the previous Cinnabun. I have noticed that Diamine doesn't like blue or teal much, unless they are planning next year's blue version 🤣
‘The involuntary power of letting go’😂😂
Haha sometimes I have to, and not always a bad thing🤣

Thanks for the video! It was fun watching and very helpful indeed. The best part was looking at all the sheen and shimmer after the ink dried!
I also noticed some of the colors shifted after they were dry, very interesting! Thanks for watching!
My issue is the lack of saturation in so many inks ... cant use them foe writing

Love the Grotto and the Baltic Breeze
Diamine inks are great! They are consistent and interesting!
I like only 12 so it would have been a waste of money for me so thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks for watching! You can also wait since you only like 12. Last year's Inkvent was frequently on sale 🤣
@cheesim ooo I'll keep an eye out
New subscriber. Nice video
Thanks so much! Appreciate that!
This was so soothing to watch😊. TFS🤗
Thanks! Appreciate that! I love a good swatching session!

If you don't want shimmers, the Wishing Tree is extremely similar to Birmingham Pen Co Megalodon based on my swatch(not their swatch picture🤣)
Greetings, thank you so much for the video, what was that fabulous writing instrument you were using? Thank you.
It was a brass nib Kakimori dip pen!
Good job! Thank you!
Thanks for watching! Appreciate it!😊🙏🏼

Which specific Muji notebook is that? It handles the ink well.
Yes it's so good with fountain pens! It's the Muji dot grid spiral-bound notebook with an elastic band closure
@ Thanks!
Joy Lilac looks like Memory lane from the Green and Lavender Frost from the Purple calanders. I am tired of having so many inks of the near same color
Compared to Memory Lane and Lavender Frost, Joy Lilac is more blue, but you are right, they are similar 😂
@@cheesim oh, more blue??? 🤩 I need a bottle then .. 🤣
It is a beautiful color! 🤣
Are the inks available all year round
You can get full bottles of Invent Calendar ink when they release them during summer.
👌👌👌😍😍💙🧡💚🤎💜
😊🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
What is your dip pen?
It is a Kakimori brass nib Dip Pen
