Mr. P. Explores... An Abandoned Entertainment Complex (Lorain County, Ohio)

- In this episode of Mr. P' Explores, we hit a first in my personal explorations: In the middle of Northeast Ohio, near Cleveland, the sounds of laughter once echoed through the warm summer evening, motors roared as kids tried their hand at maneuvering around a challenging go-kart track, the clink of balls hitting bats could be heard from batting cages and the soft glow of the overhead fluorescent lights shown down upon steady couples languidly playing a round of mini-golf. All of that was a common thing to see at this location throughout the 90's...until hard times hit and the place closed for good. Now, all that remains are reminders of what used to be as Mother Nature patiently retakes her domain back. Now, the only sounds that can be heard are the crickets, the bullfrogs who have made the new depressed areas that have slowly turned to ponds their homes, the sound of far-off traffic and the wind through the trees that have begun to grow up through the turf of the old mini-golf course. And naturally, I head in to give you a look at what is left. Enjoy the walkthrough!

Isn’t this in the Lorain/Amherst area? If so, they’re trying to sell that land for commercial as in retail or possible shopping centers.
This is awesome! Thanks for taking the time to show us around!
Nice, I love ruins like these. Good video.
Thanks, man! Glad you enjoyed it! It was like a jungle ruin!
Also it closed down in 2002 and was left abandoned ever since.

Swings and things
Yeah in the video it is sports and stuff. Swings n things is still a going concern. Specific address is: 2200 Cooper Foster Park Rd.
I know that place... Still going to remain nameless for reasons Mr. P has stated...
Reminds me of the fun park in about that is now petitis
Very much the same layout, yes.
It would be nice if there was an investor with a vision to bring this back to life specially now there are new retail and fast food places off of 58 in Lorain
What was the actual name of the place ?

Im 38 and used to go when I was little ..its a gas station now...frienship
No it isn't. Still abandoned and for sale.
Your talking about the mini golf place off 57. This one is on cooper foster. Something is going on in there now. Sometimes the gates are open and I see lots of trucks in there.
@@kreator1776is something happening forsure? i grew up 10 mins from there and am just finding out abt it now but am in indiana for college, i wanna visit it but if theres construction going on i wont, do u know any update?
Do you think Swings-N-Things on the western edge of Cuyahoga County contributed to this place's demise?
Nah. SnT has been going since the mi-1980's. This one went out of business due to mismanagement going down, or so I have heard. They are pretty far from one another that they really weren't competing.
@@MrPExplores The owner passed away unexpectedly and the family couldn't keep it up.
@@robertslatt9370 Ahhh, OK. Thanks for the update! No one I talked to could fill me in on what had happened.
@@MrPExplores plus it got set on fire
The structures of concrete people had made a skate park back there and were skating illegally. Also the place was never any good - always slow- nobody went - boring- and the basketball thing nobody ever knew what the fuck it was or played it
Minus the gocarts
