So this is actually the "saucer" full of all its secrets, never thought they actually did it the old fashion. Well done, we really enjoyed the gigs in Ravenna and Lucca (Italy), a truly genuine experience! Thank you Nick!
THANK YOU NICK for a LIFETIME of WONDERFUL MUSIC and endless reasons to take REPEATED TRIPS into our own Minds. Life would have NEVER been the same without your contribution to music.
My high school science teacher did the oil shows back in the day at the Electric Circus in the Village, they used clock faces (Mr. McGallister). See you at the Fox in Oakland!
It was a brilliant idea to do "Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets". It's a fresh and original idea for Pink Floyd performance that hasn't been done. We have a million concerts from over the years but a Nick Mason early years focus is totally new. Seeing the psychedelic lights and images being done by hand with each night being different is the cherry on the top for authenticity. Truly unique and awesome!
I love it, didn't spend thousands of dollars on this and it looks great onstage (i saw the show last night in San Diego) thank you Nick and the rest of the Saucers for a great night...
Thankyou both for taking the time to show this part of the mix. A few years back I used to do the visuals for live events with a friend. When you manually change the visuals in time to the music it does make you feel more involved and part of the experience. Very rewarding compared to triggering a sequence and just sitting there twiddling yer thumbs in front of an expensive box.
Saw the show at Symphony Hall in Birmingham, UK, and it went straight into my top 3 gigs of all time. The sound quality was a whole level above anyone else I have ever heard - loud, energetic, but absolutely crystal clear. Seeing them again in June '24, and really looking forward to it.
Just saw Nick's band in Phoenix. Wow what a great night. I heard songs that I never thought would ever hear played live. Childhoods end, Obscured by Clouds, The Nile song !
I've been a guitarist for over 40 years and I love David Gilmour, but sometimes when listening to Floyd I can't help but pay attention to Nick's drumming because he has such a relaxed way of playing and looks so at ease behind the kit. Today's music needs to get back to that and put the human element back into it. I hate that quantized shit they put out today.
There was a guy who did this in Sydney in early 70s .. i remembered his first name at the concert last night - Victor - remembered being at one of his shows but not much else
This is basically the same way pink Floyd achieved this lighting affect at the UFO club in 1966/67 according to Roger Waters primitive and basic but it works
A friend of mine had done this type of lighting for many years with a partner. His partner did the oil works and did it with an old school overhead projector and my friend Chris does the computer imagery mixed with the psychedelic lighting. His company is called BROTHERHOOD OF LIGHT. He's done work with a number of known bands and the latest one, he worked with for years was the Allman Bros. Some of you may have seen the psychedelic lighting behind the band.

Can't wait to see you in Boston on September 21st!!!
Obrigado Nick Manson por manter a centelha acesa.
Wishing I was there...
Cool! I always wondered how they created that 60s psychedelic imagery.
Just like in the 60s, except for the whole media server thing.
Saw the show a couple of years back. Fantastic. Recommended to any Floyd fan.
Originally they used simple overhead projectors set up in the balcony, plus movie projectors running clips from old films.
Thats very creativ
You can see Rachael loves working for Nick and that Nick loves having Rachael as part of the crew that helps make the magic happen every night
Estive lá, magia.
😎 👍🏼
❤
It was funny how she mentioned "any colour you like"…
Coincidence !
Please visit Istanbul
Any Color You like
2:42 probably unintentional pun
Altice Arena? 👀🇵🇹
It is the Super Bock Arena in Porto.
Gosto mais de dizer "Palácio de Crista"l na magnífica cidade do Porto
Is dave mason your cousin

Pink Floyd never did do anything easy did they? Their album covers, light shows, sound effects just oozes authenticity.
AINT IT FUNNY HOW IT HAPPENED
