Yeah large changes to this area. It's almost fully gentrified now 😅 now the government is working on doing the same revitalisation to Queenstown and Commonwealth
Tiong Bahru is actually somewhere I know quite well. Very strange to see the shopping centre without all the stalls on the ground floor. I am so used to seeing it packed and difficult to get past everyone!
Singapore is a place I've never been to but for some reason I have an affinity towards. This video is so cool I feel like I'm taking a walk in the city thank you
_Thanks Alan for another fine walk at Tiong Bahru.I like how you would usually go through the Food Courts/Centres and Hawker Centres too .It gives off a genuine vibe of the place. Thanks man. My regards to you, your wife and Disco your pup. How about a walk through Ang Sua in a future project? It would bring back memories of my gangland heydays_ 👍😊
Redhill Close? When I cycled past, the estates are fenced up. Currently foreign workers who are essential workers are being housed there 😊 but if you are referring to the nearby market and hawker centre I could do one in the future 😉
It is very light. If my arms ache I just switch hands, there will be a slight change in the viewing angle but its a small price to pay for not cramping 😊
i never been to Tiong Bahru....the only time im here is when the MRT stopped at the station, when the lady goes “Tiong Bahru......doors are closing...”😁😆😅
🤣 That was funny. Hope you have time to visit this area in the future. I dare say it really feels different from any other estate in Singapore. Its got its own old school charms
When I was younger I came here pretty often to eat the chwee kueh. Remembered the huge tree in the middle of the old single storey hawker and when it rained there will be leaks everywhere 😂 when they finally completed the 2 storey market and hawker centre I was stunned. That's when I realised Tiong Bahru will be changing. Sure enough the $1million HDBs starting popping up in this estate. And all the old shophouse business started switching to atas bakery and trendy cafes. Rents so high here that Books Actually also cannot survive. Really is changing times

I wonder how much your camera weighs and is it not hard to walk for half an hour and an hour with the camera and hold it in your hands

I mount it to the Osmo stick. You can check the product in my description
I miss singapore
I just hope the Chinese New Year this year would not be like one in China last year.
I can't make up my mind about Tiong Bahru. I guess I just don't really have a real affinity for it.
What about Tiong Bahru?
@@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV Not much. I just don’t have a personal relationship to it, that’s all.
