A classic story of grifters finding grifters, and a great piece of investigative journalism, Pablo.
Paused the vid at about 22 minutes in and had to comment. Fucking shout-out to the writing, editing and production staff. The breaks put in at naturally occuring segue points without really disrupting the flow, priming you and letting you know we're in for some twists. Perfect. Absolutely perfect.

Whoa. That was pretty damn good! I've been listening/watching to Dan's shows for over 13 years now and thought I would just stick to his show in this new.. whatever this Meadowlark thing is. Then I watched oddball and thought, shit... that was good. Love Amin and Charlotte is a star (she should probably have her own sitcom). Then I watched others fill in while Dan was out and while I already knew that Pablo, Amin, Dominique and Izzy (this may change after his Amin debacle) were pros I couldn't help but love it when Samson hosted the show too. Now Pablo has a show so I figured everything else was good on this Meadowlark thing so I should check it out. I really enjoyed this episode. Liked the pace, the music, the animation, and most importantly the journey you took us on. Congrats. Looking forward to the next one!

Simply handing over a check is grounds for skepticism & ridicule. Even when $250,000 residential homes are sold, funds are exchanged exclusively electronically. Daniel Snyder's team must have been bent over in laughter when they saw that $5 billion check.
This show is so great, it's always inspiring to see people do what they love, and I had Pablo as a person all wrong. Also I'm sorry for Pablo if he thought the American economy was anything more than one big scam.

I love that halfway through the pod/video, Pablo references the shadiness of Don Calhoun with an article from The Blade. It used to be the Toledo Blade, a newspaper I delivered as an 11 year-old boy and also the newspaper where I did my sport journalism internship in high school, since I grew up in Toledo and thought I too would be a sports reporter some day. Spoiler alert - I went into consulting sales. Much more lucrative.
I have to say, this guy would have been a better owner than most current owners.
The only thing that would have made the episode better would have been another calf shot!
