I was thinking more how it was done in Eggman Hates Furries. (Or any Mario game for that matter) The run button doesn't make you go faster but rather increases your max speed, thus you can make percise movements without having to sacrifice having a higher speed cap! :D

Clearly the game wasn't made with that mechanic in mind as it reacts weirdly when you speed up. But this was interesting to see.
