- Remember that cool feature of the PS2 instead of trophies images, you had 3D models for your game saves, some of being quite unique, like a new 3D model of Classic Sonic before Sonic Generations came around.

I wanted Sonic Mega Collection + so bad but I never got it lol. But tbh I like the Saturn model better, I don't think the modern spikes look good on classic Sonic.
Should of gotten it on sale, I got it cheap in 2006, and I agree it looks a modern sonic model with Classic textures, might turn it into a low poly modern/dreamcast once the new textures are ready.

Someone needs to get working and put it in Generations! It's the closest we'll get to an official 3D classic Sonic.

Wasn't the 3D Blast just sprites?
They were rendered sprites of a model. The model is still out there, somewhere.

I think it's slightly diifferent in the EU version (can't remember)

As a kid who was born in 2006. It's hard to see people in my school talking about older shit. All they talk about now is social media. But I do remember playing the living shit out of the generations demo.
If I owned a ps2 and saw this model I would probably be hyped. I would've thought that meant it would've been used in a Sonic game.

Sonic Adventures for the Saturn
It was planned to be release on the Saturn, however due to the Dreamcast's release, it was swiftly ported to the Dreamcast. One of the betas of SA on the Saturn was Sonic World. It was snuck into the game, and it felt more like a hub world, rather than SA, so it went by unnoticed, but now we know there are several things from SA that are in the Sonic World. Including: Reuse of animations, certain textures being reused, crammed in textures, probably meaning that was intentional and they were held for replacement, and more!

The icon with chip holding a chocolate bar is from the ps2 version of Sonic unleashed (if it wasn't obvious) I know this because have played and beat the ps2 version on unleashed

To be honest, the shade a blue you used is way too bright
it's the shade of blue the Sonic Mega Collection Plus models used, tho the Sonic Gems Collection models used a darker blue which honestly looks better, I will be revisiting this soon

It's not really Classic Sonic... this coming from years of having looked at it. At least the one in Mega isn't.
If it has the classic shade of blue, classic shoes, black eyes, and bit belly, then it's Classic Sonic. even if his quills like the ones he had in Sonic Adventure.
