We were just an ordinary Japanese married couple, both working, until my wife suddenly chose to move overseas.
After thinking deeply, I reached a conclusion to leave the company I worked for 12 years, and started my new life as a stay-at-home dad in 2021.
At first, I had rough time with stress and felt conflicted, but now I enjoy my life in Malaysia, taking the household chores over from my wife.
As I changed my lifestyle I changed my hairstyle to Samurai(Man Bun).
I named this channel "Samurai -----" as some people call me "samurai!" since I came to Malaysia.
In this channel, I will be introducing:
    1. My daily life and things I noticed as stay-home-dad
    2. My Malaysian life
    3. Changes we experience upon moving overseas
    Hope you enjoy!

I have no doubt in my mind that you will continue to cut monthly costs. Such detailed analysis. My husband who is Australian likes to buy his tshirts from jalan jalan japan - an outlet tht sells pre loved items from japan. Bandoru is another one - pre loved but still good quality. In Australia, he says, secondhnd shops are very popular

I believe the word Bandoru is the japanese pronunciation of Bundle..an industry term for outlets that sell pre-loved or secondhand or new-but-with-slight-defects garments..

My tips, everything that use/produce Heat, will increase the electricity usage and bill. The water heater, hair dryer and electric cooking stove is the most electric consuming there. And the aircond (recommended with inverter), once it reach below 21°C in cool mode, it will use more electric. Try adjust it in auto, dry mode if u set below that temperature instead maintaining it 'cool' whole the time. Last time i left my house for 1 month due to outstation, turn off everything except only the fridge (adjust to temp number 1 ), and it totally cost RM5 only for that month :v
Now u know why most of us use gas cooker 😆

You should use stainless steel pot to make hot drink, u dont have the need to worry that it break & the reaction of plastic with the hot water also is not healthy. You can get it in many sizes & in many supermarkets. It can also be use for cold water & it stand for a very long time. My family use a lot of stainless steel item daily. Just make sure no one use in the microwave.

Seeing the way you analyze something makes me very impressed because this is a natural Japanese style (so organised). I have a few things to consider: 1) don't use plastic containers to make hot water. Maybe a Stainless Steel container would be better.
    2) I understand why you like top restaurants maybe because of cleanliness. but if you have been in KL for a long time, maybe you will also consider trying small stalls and restaurants that still maintain cleanliness while providing great food. Each restaurant has a grade given by the Ministry of Health, try to look at the grade before entering the premises/booth. Oh My God, 1 year ago 😅

Is good to be money conscious, keep all the bills , calculate it and you can see where the money 💸💸💸 go to. Record it in a book ( monthly recording). Then you can see clearly how much on food, patrol, stationary, electricity and water bill, take away food, and etc... . If this month overspend then next month cut down some. If one does not control own expenditure , just keep on spending, in the end suffer. Save whatever we can and spend when is necessary.

I saw a video by another Japanese UA-camr that you could find good second deals in Jalan Jalan Japan. They have outlets in few areas. I haven’t been there myself but they do sell many different things which are in very good condition. I guess expats sell their things to them before they leave Malaysia. You could perhaps try looking for things there.

    • @shinachikudidnthappen..mov9196
      @shinachikudidnthappen..mov9196 2 роки тому +2

I dont think JJJ buys their stock that way, not to mention it is unsustainable (they constantly restock their goods, and there is only so many expats leaving Malaysia at any given time). If you've been there, it is obvious the item belonged to Japan's Japanese rather than expats in Malaysia. So many telltale signs that these are very geographical-centric that it wouldn't be logical had it being used large-scale in Malaysia. Same goes with clothing, though occasionally you could find Malaysian brands there lol. This is aside from big companies' clearance item, of course.

I've got matching brand new (minus the selling tag) Disney, Pokemon, Snoopy etc merchs for my kid and her cousins there at unbelievable prices. Also, since Japan is strict even when it comes to owning counterfeited goods, you can almost be sure the designers you get there is authentic. I've got Giorgio Armani shoes at RM15 🤣🤣 They priced preloved Nose shoes there double the price haha!

Did you send your child to local Private school? It's not international school isn't? Because the child fees is affordable and not as expensive as international school

No, our kids go to international school. There are a lot more international schools in KL which cost much more expensive right. Thank you for your comment😉

    お久しぶりです。うちの家族も4人で生活してきたが、確かに10000MYRは超えるかもしれませんが、18000MYRまでには行けなかった気がしますw でもこれもサムライさん生活が充実している証拠ですね!

Don't go back to patronize that Restaurant Diva again ! It had, obviously, took advantage of you being not local & cheated in placing an order for a mega size murtabak just to make more money from a one-person meal ! There are many other places that serve yummy murtabak in KL.

    • @SamuraiStayAtHomeDad

I visited that restaurant because I googled and looked yummy...!! Yes I will explore other murtabak places and order normal size without cheese👍Thank you for your comment!!
