Professor Michael F. Holick is an internationally recognized expert in the field of Vitamin D. He was responsible for identifying 25-hydroxycitamin D3 as the major circulating form of vitamin D in human blood. He has published over 800 journal articles, book chapters, editorials, and proceedings. He has also written 13 books including the best seller The Vitamin D Solution.

Thank you Michael Holick! I've been struggling the past few months with taking vitamin K2 in conjunction with my hydroxyapatite (calcium) supplementation. Whether in the form of MK-4 or MK-7 my body wasn't having any part of it. Heart palpitations, indigestion, insomnia, elevated blood pressure were the most obvious contraindications I experienced from K2 supplementation. Dr. Holick has now given me the confidence to move forward without the need for K2 supplementation.

I am a candidate for giving you some very important information on this subject I had my thyroid removed years ago and my parathyroid were removed also I suffered mentally and physically for about ten or more yrs after there was not a Doctor in this Country whom knew what was wrong with me I kept telling them how I felt but they kept trying to tell me how I felt I used to love to read but the following day I could not remember what I read the night before still they never listened to me that’s just an insight into my life oh how I suffered

An absorption question: for fat-soluble vitamins how much fat is needed/enough for the optimal absorption please?
It's enough to make my head spin. Every doctor and scientist I've heard speaking about Vitamin D has a different opinion. Maybe I should give up and throw it away? I don't know if I should be taking 2,000 units a day or 20,000 units a day.
Anything health is like this
I take 20 k a day with k2. Your body won’t absorb all of it. Take it with fat
Start with monitoring your blood level and see how it make you feel at different levels and maintain the level most beneficial to you. Eat well and exercise and you’ll be all good. You can add more supplements to complement your vitamin d down the road.
If in doubt, you can always go towards the middle of the opinions and go with about 10,000
Use Sunlight or a Lamp capable of UVB. That's in our design.
