Thanks everyone for your support of my channel. Please watch an ad or two while looking at my videos. It helps and I have great partners!
I have been watching your reviews for years. Still, nobody has such a thorough and concise comparison on the 4th gen Rav4, five years after your video was launched. Great job, Jeff!!!! 🏆
I will forever love you if you could do a segment like this for all the models. I'm a new salesman @ Toyota and this is SO HELPFUL!
Gil Esquivel Hey Gil!! Nice to hear you’re working for Toyota and enjoying it. Great suggestion and I’m happy to help. What models would you like to see first? I’m always looking for new ideas for videos
Gil Esquivel and you can help me out by watching the ads on my videos all the way through without skipping them. That can be your way of paying me back for making helpful videos ha ha
All of them if possible lol! Corollas, Pruis, Siennas, Highlanders, 4Runners. I just discovered you today and I am so grateful. Just finished your entune video. Also a video with sales tip would be awesome too! Thanks again !
My grandmother just bought her new 2018 Toyota Rav4 limited hybrid today at Fred Anderson. She is already in love with it. However, when we test drove it l noticed that the rear headrests were very uncomfortable for taller people like me. Could have been because the hybrid seat bottoms are fixed, but this is not a deal breaker by any means. We had a great experience at Fred Anderson and we would not hesitate to return in the future for another Toyota! Thanks!
Thank you!! I just got the SE model And I love it. This was helpful to see all I have on it
The SE is an awesome vehicle! I'm sure you're gonna love it! be sure to write updates to let me know what you like best about it, and I'll make a new video about it :) jeff
This SE model is different than mine. Mine has an 7' screen and no cd player. Also, my has a rear defrost button on the bottom by the seat warmers and power lift gate.
I am poor so I just got the lE. FWD. With the discount. Still a great car from Toyota of Warren Ohio
I just started as a salesman at a Toyota dealership and I'm trying to learn all I can about the cars so I can start sales. The different trims and what features they have is the big thing, this video was very informative and I hope you can make more on other cars as well.
Sure I'd be happy to do more trim by trim comparisons. What cars do you think you'd like to learn about most next? Jeff
Toyotajeff in Raleigh , I would say the Camry, Corolla and the Highlander. At this location (and I'm sure most others) those are the 3 highest selling cars along with the Rav4. I look forward to the next video, thanks Jeff.
Sounds good! I did the 2018 Camry and the 2018 Camry Hybrid comparison videos. Check out my recent videos and I think the Camry one was from last Aug or Sept. I will do Corolla and Highlander in next few weeks. Great suggestions!
I love my Galactic Aqua Mica Rav4 Limited! Ive got all the extras too except the foot activated power liftgate, nonetheless, I think Ive got an awesome SUV 😊
I know a few people with a rav4 LE mostly 2016 but I think the SE is the best one if all and in my opinion the best looking one too!
I got the limited and it was the best purchase of my life
Belated congrats. I was debating getting a 2018 RAV4 Limited, but I was paying cash and my budget for an out the door RAV4 was about $22,000. The rare Limiteds I saw were $30,000, which is a testament to Toyotas holding their value. Matter of fact, IMO Toyota is as close as you can get to one being an investment.
Thank you Jeff,am planning to buy one and your explanation is great for me🎉
Such a great review. You make me fall in love with the 2018Rv4
Appreciate your time doing this
Am in love with toyota SE
I have the XLE and I love it
Thank you so much for doing this video, it really helped me pick the Rav 4 I want. You are a wonderful person, bless your soul
You do a fantastic job with these videos. Over and above the competition. If I lived in NC I’d visit your dealership.
I got the SE Hybrid Today! Will be able to pickup in a few days! I loved the torque of that thing wow it's zippy fast lol. Love your reviews jeff! Definitely helped me decide on my purchase! Would've chosen the 2019 Rav4, but the toyota clearance in our dealership is so good it made the 2018's look nicer. hahaha
how much did you get it for?
Outstanding presentations!!
Well indepth
I know have the SE trim and omgoodness I love this one way more than the XLE
Great job, very professionally presented. Thx.
Hey thanks TJ! I'm glad you got some benefit from it. Stay tuned for more fun videos and surprises in the next few months....big big stuff! Jeff
The LE is fine folks, you won't use most of those extras that add to the price
I’d get the xle when it comes to the 2019 sure the le gets you from point a to point b but I like power seats but when it comes to the camry then sure I’d be fine with the le
Won’t go any lower than an XLE. i want fog lights
Outstanding presentation, great job...I sure learnt a lot about the 2018 RAV4...Limited is definitely my best... Which of them can take a full size spare tire?
Thank you for this!!! I just got a rav4 2018 xle for him! He loves it.
My grandpa)
I like the limited the best. But i might just get the SE
Adventure grade also has adventure logo on gear shift
awesome video! the inside looks like a high lander , but much smaller .
Favorite trim is Limited. Kinda wish I watched this video before buying my XLE in 2018 lol
Although I do love my XLE too!
Great video!
Does SE has parking sensors
Thanks!! I’m all about the SE. heated sifted and those sexy wheels!
Thanks for all the details !
I'm glad to help. It's my favorite car I sell, and it's confusing to a lot of customers what trim level to choose.....thanks for watching and subscribing! Jeff
Very cool. I like the Limited model best.
Hi there! Limited is loaded with equipment and a big upgrade from the XLE. good choice! Thanks for being a part of my channel's community! Jeff
Thank you for this video, helps to know each trim. I wish I could afford the platinum, but I like the SE trim.
This was a great video so I could understand what all my 2018 Certified Pre-Owned RAV4 XLE AWD has on it.
Fantastic review. I just picked up the xle.
What month is the new 2019 RAV4 coming out? I like the rugged new look better than the current design...
I love your videos they are so helpful! I could really use your advice, I have a 2016 RAV4 XLE with only 83,000 miles on it and it recently started a shaking/shudder at certain speeds while accelerating. We took it to our local Toyota dealer and they told us that the torque converter is going out in it and will cost over $4,000 to repair. We are devastated and don't know whether we should go ahead and fix it or just trade it in and get something different. Of course we are not under warranty or recall, do you think Toyota would be willing to help us? Your advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Go to local non dealer trans shop to get est on a new trq converter for your 2018 RAV4 which should be cheaper.
Just got myself a limited, loving it. Thank you for this review,I can now understand my car better.
Please does yours have a CD player or a Bluetooth?
Very great car really love it , i have the limited one and i’m happy with my purchase.
I have an app tomorrow to buy a rav4 and I'm trying to decide between the limited vs SE or limited vs platinum
I was looking last week for a used 2018 CERTIFIED RAV4 XLE (either in FWD or AWD). I noticed that in January 2020 for some reason there's a scarcity of used 2018 RAV4s on the market here in the San Francisco Bay Area and 20 miles beyond (in which there were 5 additional Toyota dealerships). And get this, in the entire San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento, California, about 90 miles northeast of San Francisco, there was ONE (01) RAV4 XLE AWD where the seller on Craigslist wanted $22,500 for it. And there was ONLY two 2017 Certified RAV4s for sale (I wanted Safety Sense P on the car, so 2017 is the year Toyota started putting the package as standard on the RAV4.)
Only thing I could figure is that 2018 is still too new for that year to hit the market, e.g., lease returns or the three-year trade-ins. So to have something to sell in the 2018 model year, dealers were buying rental car returns at the auctions. That's what I got, a rental car return with 42,000 miles on the odometer. Of course, if the car was not Certified by Toyota I would not have considered it. (A certified pre-owned RAV4 has a whopping Toyota FACTORY powertrain warranty of 7 years, 100,000 miles; and 12 months, 12,000 miles bumper-to-bumper.)
I like the Adventure SE and Platinum
Limited all the way. ☺️
Do all of the models fit the same bumper guards? I got the se and on amazon it says it doesn't fit it but it fits the limited model. Any link to where I can get them?
great video. thank you!
I love the xle ❤
SE also has Sport suspension...SE all the way
Jason Dyer good point Jason! SE is an awesome ride! Jeff
It's look good but by comparsion to CHR cheap. Where are the leds direction outside?
I think I'm gonna buy platinum and customize it the way I wanted but firs thing I do lover the rim size and big all terrain tires se grill black sway headliner and rolls Royce starlight headliner switch all lights to led red leather seats like in Camry lift kit wrap roof black air intake system and exhaust cut outs and tint
I like the XLE and SE. But the XLE will fit my family and I.
I feel like the SE for the extra price is worth it
XLE, or SE?
Just got the PLATINUM in silver
Thank you, very helpful
What's the audio system like in the LE and XLE model?
I can compare the 2018 XLE audio with my formerly owned Mazda CX-% Grand Touring that had a fancy Bose sound system. Truth be told, I don't ride in my car to hear music or stereo radio. IMO the 2018 XLE sound system is pretty good for a car. It doesn't sound tinny or cheap. The tones are pleasing and say the Entune system allows you to make adjustments to suit your tastes and requirements. IMO the sound system will not cause you to regret buying a RAV4.
Which rav4 modles have heated and cooled seats
only heated, no cooled seats
@@GladiatorLBS thank you
How much do they cost?
What levels have standard navigation? I really dig the Platinum
Great question Don! The Limited is standard with Entune Premium Audio with Navigation, while the Platinum is standard with Entune Premium Audio with JBL and Navigation, so those 2 trim levels. Thanks for subscribing and being a part of my forum. Jeff
Does it have entune 3.0?
I have a 2018 rav4 xle but something ive noticed is that it doesn't have a button inside to open the trunk. is that accurate on some xle Rav4?
Not sure what you mean by "inside," but if you are referring to the button on the dash or steering wheel, I believe that feature is ONLY on RAV4s that have the optional power rear door (that you refer to opening the "trunk." The RAV4 does not have a "trunk." And Toyota refers to the back as the "rear door.")
Good job! Thanks!
Vic's is the Italian restaurant you're looking for in Raleigh...
Having trouble deciding between se and xle i hinestly just want the se just cuz power seasts .... .... i know that may sound weird but drove a matrix for years and im also short and feel .... you can better adjust those of you who drive the xle do you find that the manual adjustment is pretty fair?
Have SE, loved the power seat and the leather seats!
@@deedeehsu1120 ended up with the xle . Still like it just as much one day ill have power seats though lol still a million times more modern then my matrix
I wish I could get the Platinum.
You can, but not by wishing. Save your money and buy a used one, maybe two years old or so. Today, June 26, 2020, here in San Francisco, California I bought a used (Certified Pre Owned) RAV4 XLE. I traded in my 2014 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring, which means it had leather, power seats, and all the bells and whistles. So actually, the 2018 RAV4 XLE was a step down, but not really because it has what I desperately wanted, Safety Sense P. I'm 68 and admit I'm no longer the driver I used to be, so I need the PCS system (Pre Collision System), lane departure, lane avoidance, etc. My Mazda had the lane warning feature, but really no other safety features of note.
Anyway, to the point on why I'm commenting to you, as a former BMW, Mercedes, Audi, and other high end car owner I agree, the luxury and bells/whistles of these cars are nice, but you're gonna pay through the nose for the high trim packages. E.g., I looked at a new RAV4 Adventure on the sales floor. It has the nicer interior, power lift gate, and other really really really nice options and features. The bad news, MSRP was $38,000, which I know is not considered a lot of money nowadays, but to me that's a lot for a compact SUV (or is it CUV?). Here in California with license, taxes and fees, you add 10% to the price of the car. That make it about a $42,000 RAV4, which no one except you and other RAV4 owners know what that is, and how much you paid for it. Is that worth paying $22,000 more than what I paid for a used RAV4 with only 38,000 miles on the odometer. Not for me.
P.S. If you wait until the Platinum trim RAV4 is about two to three years old you can pay maybe $28,000 or less for it. Something to consider. Since this is a RAV4 we are talking about I think it is a waste of money to buy luxury elements to it. It is a middle class SUV. It is NOT a luxury SUV. So why pay all that extra money. E.g., I saw a few Platinum around the Bay Area for sale. A 2018 used RAV4 with that trim were all selling for about $30,000! Unfortunate for you, Toyotas hold their value, so the depreciation even on the luxury trim takes place at a snail's pace.
Money value wise it must be SE
The SE and the XLE I think are the best values....I agree with you! Thanks for watching...jeff
I like se limited and platinum
I'm totally confused. I just bought a used 2018 RAV4 XLE trim, AWD. I'm confused because Autocheck, which is like CarFax, says my RAV4 is a: 2018 Toyota RAV4 Adventure XLE. If mine is the Adventure, why don't I have any of the things Toyota Jeff shows the Adventure has in this video.
SE is fav
Rav4🔥😍
Why is the parking brake not engaged in any of those parked vehicles? Relying on the transmission in 'Park' to hold the vehicle is unsafe.
i thought that the base le model did have alloy wheels...
Ltd xle le
💙💙💙💙
Too confusing.....your video. People forget what vehicle they are watching. You should add text to the video like XLE LE etc
100% agree
that is not a rav 4. You can stick a badge on it and call what ever you want, but that isnt the body nor design of a rav 4 .
