- How to rewire Tail Brake & Turn lights on a Land Cruiser 76
In this video, I will explain in detail how to move the lights from the bumper of a Land Cruiser in my case a 76 or GRJ76 to the side lamps. This can be usefull on any 70 series with lights in bumper. Land Cruiser 76 & 78

Moving the wires up to the cabin was straightforward. Makes sense if u have a custom bumper or eliminate the whole in bumper lights. Good idea to add a pair of LED flood lights too on bumper while ur there.
Great video. Love the truck.
Thank you David
I’m having trouble putting the ground wire that sits in the bulb holder back in. It looks like it tucks underneath the metal conceal but I’m not sure how to get it there. Any help would be great.
Snap à Pic of it and send it. Let me take a look.
Why are the tail lamps and turn signals down in the bumper to begin with? Same here in Japan. It's very unusual and almost feels unsafe, since other motorists are not accustomed to looking there for signals.
BTW, Could you make a video about the import process? How did you get an LC76 into the US?
Have not asked LC Japan for this inquiry but I am guessing it's for cost cutting as standard on all including pickups and the spare tire on the right. Also noticed that some markets where there is no spare tire in rear have the lights on top instead of bumper.
@@offgridnomads377 Thank you. Could you explain more about how you got this into the US? I own a GRJ76K in Japan. Someday I might want to return to US and bring it with me. Curious what you may know, since there are some in the US via Toyota Gibraltar Stockholdings in Washington DC area, being prepared for humanitarian organizations (red cross, etc.) I'm assuming they must have some exemption. Would love to learn more.
@@js5.5.5. Good day Jeff, the process was very long and very expensive. The TGS team have set up an example of an (off shore) office to make conversions or sell them to NGOs only for re-export. They come in for their storage and then export out. Does not touch the USDOT.
