When unboxing something heavy, there's two ways to do it, open the top cardboard, do not remove the foam packing. Turn the box over and lift the box off, easy as pie! Alternate is to open the bottom of the box, then turn it over and remove the box, once the box is off then you can remove the foam packing. Either method saves a lot of heavy lifting as all you are lifting is the box.

Newer model wheels should have improved firmware and algorithms. This is displayed by the reaction owners of the Sherman when riding it. I would expect it to be more like the V12 in response than the Sherman, TBH. There are not really the same innovative leaps in hardware that can happen in the industry, and that will continue to slow because that's what commoditization is, but new/improved software/firmware features can spring up and blindside the competition. I think that's what the V12 did more than anything else when it came out - people were talking about how you can control your accel/decel curves directly, et al, and it's SW/FW things like that which cause people to have a better overall experience when using it and they'll naturally gravitate towards that even if it costs a little more or the long term reliability of the model is known yet. The S20 brought full coil over progressive link suspension to the table which drove the industry to have to deal with it. There were suspension models but that leapfrogged all the MTB airshock types as well as the non-link suspension (like the V11 vs the S18) and went straight to where full dirtbike suspension is today, solving the problem of "what happens when I am my own swingarm?"

      Hey Jimmy!
On an average day, I'll put in ~50 miles and have ~40% left. Gotta stop around that point because I start getting beeps at 35-40mph. It's too risky to ride at speed on low battery.
I'd say 60-70 usable miles would be super ideal. By usable, I'm talkin @top cruising speed and safe from sag if you need to push the motor.
I do wonder about these new cells in the Abrams (Samsung 21700 50E) and if they are enough of an upgrade that 2700WH would feel like more than I'm used to.
I got to ride with Seth at Valmont once. I was on my s18. We might have talked about it a little that day lol- look forward to riding with him again, and maybe you too one day!

      Sup Seth!
Yeah.. stairs ain't the best. With the torque and huge tire on the Abrams you could probably push it up easily enough from behind.
Honestly I don't really encounter stairs that are too far from the door most the time. 99% of the time the base of the stairs is within eyesight or earshot of the delivery.

@@robaba89 The samsung 21700 50e is sooooo strong. I have them in my EX.N HS and even in cold weather I am getting awesome range. The Abrams however is also heavier than the Sherman and seemingly geared torquey. I would expect the range to be less than the EX.N and for sure much less than the Shermans

I appreciate this review most out of all the others I’ve seen for this wheel. Most of the others gloss over the use case for bigger riders. I had my eyes on the V12 but since I’m built like a tank (260-270lbs) the Abrams seems like the best option. I would love to have the V12 due to its feature set but I’m not sure about using a wheel at its max capacity. Maybe someone has some input on “true” weight capability. Thank you for the hard work!

In my town there's some idiot who owns one of these and it's not owning one. It's the way he rides. It's pretty cool but the idiot inquisition screws right through red lights at some of the worst intersections one could ever imagine.

I like the Abrams in the beginning but not anymore. Abrams is too heavy, too tall, not enough battery, expensive, cutout issues, and it lost its appeal. The S20 is the new rising star and everyone is waiting for it! Law/Euco made the video about it and it was awesome! Abrams is now a has been. S20 will be huge success!

S20/22 with even small battery and range? It's two completely different wheels though, so no point in comparing them.

Met a guy riding the veteran Abrams (i think) in Las Vegas. I was on a mobility scooter. We actually raced...
He beat me first then I turned my controller up and beat him twice.
    Yes a mobility scooter

    • @JonahHax
      @JonahHax Рік тому

a mobility scooter that can go 80+ kmh? Cool story bro!

    • @armenvegas

@Jonah_Hax that was my old modified, scooter with ebay brushless moter and controller. 72v... 13tooth sprocket on motor, 28tooth sprocket on solid rear axle...YES IT WENT 45MPH.
My new scooter has a giant qsmotor, a Toro ride on lawnmower differential, and a fardriver controller. With spim08 high out 72v lithium ion battery. It can go 60mph if you're brave enough to try...
Trust me it will smoke almost any 1 wheel vehicle. Maybe the wolf king scooter would be a cool race...
Haven't found one while I was riding the scooter

THIS WHEEL IS AN EPIC FAIL

That's a bit of hyperbole, don't you think? All new wheels have issues when first released. The Sherman had some pretty big issues when it first came out. I'll reserve judgement on the Abrams until after I get more experience and miles under my belt.

@Jimmy Chang nope epic fail. Sherman had issues but was still a success even with the crappy rims lol. So let's release a big wheel with less range...lol Wonder if Sherman Max is going to supercede the Abrams.

The Abrams is the first wheel to come out with a body on frame construction. Imagine if it’s meant to ride naked and hang double it’s stock config of batteries for a whopping 5400wh. Only an additional 27lbs.
From what I can tell … reviews said it’s more torquey than the Sherman. It brakes harder than the Monster Pro. Let’s not forget there’s no replacement for the large wheel size in stability. 20” Sherman is good all around but at speed and needing to carve, it can get squirrelly where many experience riders know the large wheel will be more stable at speed. You can tell from Afeez videos that the Abrams will out accelerate a Sherman.
2700wh is 70-90km of hard riding. I really want to get this wheel but yeah it’s weird it’s not 3200wh right out of the box.
      Abrams Max anyone?
