Hello Tiffany. By me listening to your story on fibroids had me in tears. I’m at an age of my back hurting, stomach very bloated, very gassy, some cramping, can’t fit into my clothes, going to the bathroom a lot, weight gain and very emotional. My mother passed away on February 15, 2023, and I was going through the grief and all of the sudden, I noticed my stomach getting bigger. I’m trying to talk to my doctor about having surgery.

Thank you Tiffany. I can relate to EVERY THING you talked about. I cried watching this video. Right now my iron is a 3 but as soon as I get it back up, I’m having a hysterectomy. I’ll be 46 in December and have 3 adult children. I’m tired of suffering in Silence. Thank you for sharing your story! ❤

So important to get fibroids checked out! I ended up with fibroids and endometriosis. Went through many different types of treatments. Had a blood transfusion and months of iron infusions because of continual bleeding. When I finally gave in to the hysterectomy the doctor had to deal with a mess. I had learned that a kidney that I had removed due to nonfunctional was due to fibroid and endometriosis over the years. I repeat push for a diagnosis and correct treatment!! I wasted so much time because of fear.

I glad your doing well. It threw my body and hormones out of whack. I wasted time because of fear as well and allowed them to hold my body hostage for a long time. I hope my video helps someone if they are going through this.

I had 2 large fibroids, one pedunculated and one on the inside. The one that was on the inside was the one causing the biggest issues. I had a myomectomy in 2019. Cut to 2022 when I noticed the symptoms had come back. And they came back with a vengeance. So I went to my gynecologist and she did a trans-vaginal ultrasound and saw that not only did that one grow back, it was also much larger than the one she’d removed. Not only that but the one on the outside was much larger. So when we were discussing the options I just said let’s take it out. Take it all out. I’ve had issues with my period since it started when I was 11. I wanted the beast gone years ago. My iron levels sucked even back then and I was loading up on the iron. I was okay with that until about a year and half ago when I had to have iron infusions. I had to get my A1C levels down to a safe range to have the surgery. I finally had my hysterectomy 2 weeks before my 42nd birthday this year. I wanted to do this years ago but doctors refused. They told me that I was just being selfish and not wanting to give my mom grand babies. She already had grandkids. My sister and brother gave her 9 of them. And she has 14 great grandkids. Why the hell should I live in misery just to bring kids into this world? But no doctor would listen until recently. Now I have the pictures to show why I was in misery. My uterus was the size of 5.5 month pregnancy. And yes, I did go to one of those doctors and showed them what an ass he was about it. He apologized and said he didn’t realize he was wrong. I never thought I’d hear those words. But I told him he needs to get rid of his God complex before he ruins more women’s lives.

Thank you for sharing your story, I'm 58 and I just found out in 2023 that I have fibroids, I had a pastor pray for me and ask if was having pain, but I wasn't and I needed to drink slot of water. Then one day I went to ER with severe back pain and Dr just did X-Ray and gave me muscle relaxer, which helped for awhile but later came back was in another hospital and they did cat scan and they told me I have a huge fibroid and should get ultrasound, the only symptoms I have are enlarged stomach, pee frequently and sometimes pain when it pushes on my bladder, I have spoke with a Dr about it , but she suggested just leaving them alone and work on weight loss, any suggestions!

I had three fibroids and just had my hysterectomy surgery done 4 weeks ago. I had them for three years or probably more, I just didn't realized I had them until three years ago when it grew bigger with heavy bleeding. I remember going into the surgery room looking at the light above me and was out. When I open my eyes, the surgery was already done and on the recovery room. The post recovery was the toughest time of my life because every thing hurts if I move my body. I am on my week 4 post recovery and still having little bleeding from the incision. Not sure if that is normal, there is no pain and the rest of the incision was healing well except by the belly button. I had a high vertical incision done to get my fibroids out, which the incision is between lower belly button to the upper belly button. I had three iron infusion before the hysterectomy and two blood transfusion after the surgery.
