I used to do this back when roller skates were still popular in the mid 90s. I used to be a daredevil on those things. I will put some korn or deftones and I'll be in my own world. It wasn't NYC but where I lived is or is one of the most densely populated cities in the USA, union city NJ, I can't believe now that I never got seriously hurt. This video makes want to again pick up the hobby.

My favorite parts to skate through in manhattan were first Avenue from 31st all the way up to 59th, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Queensboro Bridge, a.k.a. the 59th St., Bridge. Coming from the Queens side of the bridge has a mean uphill :)Good times.
The man switched to a motorcycle in order to free himself from the shackles of an enclosed space and become a little freer. There is a higher level of freedom here. Even running was left behind due to the speed limit and high energy consumption. Then only, free flights in the sky... Thanks Your videos are like a breath of fresh air

I hate big cities, but that's what I did when I lived in Madrid. What I liked most was overtaking stopped cars in traffic jams, and imagining what they would think , probably "I want to overtake like him." Thank you for bringing back good memories.
This brings back memories. I use to do this to commute back and forth to lower Manhattan from the Bronx for work when the Rollerblades first came out in the early 90s. I hated taking trains and buses. Just rollerblades and my walkman and I was set. People thought I was nuts and shocked because they never saw Rollerblades on the east coast yet. Fun times and a great workout. Wish I had the selfie cam back then would be cool to see now.
I'm from the country in Kentucky, me and my wife talk about wanting to go to NYC sometime. But riding blades and BMX through the traffic looks like so much fun to me.
