I started tracking my expenses in December and it's been a game changer! I can finally budget my money and know where everything is going. Thank you for your videos 😊

      Hi!
      Thanks for the video!
We where advised to have our dogs teeth cleaned as well. We instead gave them Greenies dog treats and at their next dog vet appointment the vet said their teeth looked amazing.
Hope you have a blessed 2022!

December was the first month I'm sure I tracked everything I spent. I started in October but I don't think I got everything the last two months. I figured if I can't track I really can't budget. On to budgeting!

I’m sure you wouldn’t feel as negatively about taxes if it was automatically deducted from your paycheck. Never having the money stings a bit less.

I don't really mind taxes but I think this is where where you're from comes into play. As a Canadian, I don't mind because I know it goes to things like health care, infrastructure, supporting people in the community who need a hand up and things of that nature.

Lol yes! That's what they say they're for but it's not always the case.

As Americans we don't get Health Insurance from the government. We get insurance from an employer, if your self employed or your job doesn't pay for insurance you are either buying your own insurance or paying out of pocket.

As a United States citizen, ours funds essentially the same things (i.e. infrastructure and supporting people who need it). We do not have universal healthcare, but Medicare/Medicaid (healthcare programs for the elderly and low income) are funded by FICA, which is a payroll tax. Some states do offer healthcare (funded by their state income taxes). I may disagree with how taxes are being used sometimes (there is a lot of waste and silly spending), but taxes are necessary and important.

Taxes bother me too - I honestly just have to not think about it or I get a little fired up. You’re doing great tho - and I’m sure you’ll tackle student loans in the new year!

For income taxes there are ways to reduce your taxes. You can use tax advantages accounts to delay income tax till your in a lower tax bracket

You could move to a state that doesn't have income or sales tax. I live in NH and we don't have either but we have higher than average property taxes.

    Awesome plan 👍👍
    Good luck 🍀🍀
Rental property is something to consider. In a way you can buy it like you’re going to live in it and then plan change **cough cough** and you can just continue to live where you are and rent out the property.
Just need a minimum down payment. Tenant will pay the mortgage. Mortgage rates are super low now.

Taxes are not all bad, also not all good, but they are a necessary part of the system we live in and they serve both people who do and do not take advantage of the system.
Thank you for sharing your 2022 plan! It motivates me to think about where my money will go this year

Taxes is a trigger topic for me. I pay a TON (38K+) in taxes and I don’t benefit from any of it instead it goes to people who don’t pay taxes 😫. Don’t get me started 😡, I’m working on acceptance because taxes are never going away it’s only going to get worse as I earn more 🤦🏾‍♀️

How do you think the internet infrastructure for you to write this comment was built? Sure, you don't benefit at all... Typical shallow conservative mindset.

Open a high yield savings account if you don't have one already and save weekly or more often! Increasing your income will also help of course!
