      What was the reasoning for this conclusion?

    • @skylord8625
      @skylord8625 5 років тому

      It’s not so much the tall walls but the 1 in tiles versus the 1.25 that Wyloch does that kinda makes me sad. I don’t think it’ll be a bad thing over time and with big enough rooms. You def lose some space per tile with tilescapes due to the fact that the wall takes up tile space.

    So I took this idea and played with it. The entire level is freezing cold thanks to a layer of Yellow Mold fifteen feet up, which absorbs heat. So when the PCs reach the open section, they have to worry about slipping on the ice and falling to their doom.

    All I could think about during the first half of this video was how dope it would be to have modular 3D printed rolling boxes. I know when you did your custom rolling boxes video you said it would be too hard of a product to mass produce, but I can't help feeling like with the 3D printed stuff it would be really easy to make a rolling box that feels custom just by mixing and matching a few different elements.

    This looks awesome. Not quite familiar with 3D printing, can you tell me how long it took to print what you displayed on the video? Also what type of printer that you used? I have heard that 3D printed models can suffer from printing hiccups like bubbles, holes or weak spots in the final print. Is that a result of the printer, jets or material used or maybe a combination of all three? Would love to hear your opinion.

    I am seriously contemplating funding this kickstarter! What kind of 3D printer do you use, or what would you recommend? I am looking for something that will do the job well, but is also affordable!

      It does seem like the Prusa i3 is the #1 printer for the money right now. Out demo tiles were printed with the MakerGear M2 and they are just a phenomenal company that stands by their product. But plenty of people use the Printrbot and love it. So it does all depend on what you are willing to spend.

      appreciate the question...It's time to tidy up my creative insanity, so I'm going to just be a player for a while, and narrow my foucs down. These last 2 years have been one long sprint, so a little mosey sounds awful nice...

    I hope Hankerin never discovers TiltBrush/CoolPaintR and similar... the man seems to have enough time sinks, and those are more like creative play than the tools he was describing.

    If you think that the 3D printed terrain is awesome, you should check out www.heroforge.com - They have a super sweet generator for making character models that you can COMPLETELY customize, from their race, clothing, and poses to mounts! I really liked the video Hank!
