Foods Lou Eats: Egg Whites (for breakfast): Low in fat and high in protein. Helps build muscle without excess calories. Lou typically makes an omelet using three egg whites and one yolk. Chicken or Turkey (for lunch): Lean proteins that are essential for muscle growth and recovery. Lou aims for around 8 ounces of protein with each meal to support post-workout recovery. Fish (for dinner): Especially salmon and tilapia. High in protein and omega-3 fatty acids, which support heart health. Paired with vegetables such as broccoli, spinach, and green beans, which are low in calories and packed with nutrients. Foods Lou Avoids: Fried Foods: Loaded with unhealthy fats and empty calories, which can lead to weight gain and clogged arteries. Sugary Snacks: Causes energy spikes and crashes, which can lead to fat gain. Lou prefers natural sources of sugar, such as fruits. White Bread and Processed Carbs: Lacks fiber and nutrients, leading to quick digestion and blood sugar spikes. Lou sticks to whole grains that provide sustained energy and support muscle growth. Other Important Points: Lou Ferigno's diet and fitness approach are based on balance, consistency, and doing what's right for the body. He's younger and Arnold had heart problems. Arnold is not going to be an idiot and try lifting too hard at his age and have a heart attack... common sense bud.
Thankyou for telling me nothing I didn't know 30 yrs ago.
None of these vids or pics show Lou at age 72. Time stamp 0:47 is from July 22, 2015! and obviously trying to say he's 72 in that pic. Do the math.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Lou. favorites OREO COOKIES. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Eso es hace 10 años. Tenía 62 años. Aún así luce extraordinario!
BINGO LOU! I turned 77 in July and mimic 90% of what Lou does with the exception that I use a *hard gainer* resistance program with cardio and now at the gym I tell em that I am 77 going on 18. Have 20,000 miles on my running log. Right foot surgery ended running career which included races from mile to 26 mile marathons! So is necessary to have some history to back you up! Great Video. Peace!
Good for you. I'm 70 and have always been active and incorporated weight training for 50 years. I'm sure like me, you see many people you know your age (and 20 - 30 years younger) who can barely move around because of the lack of everything you've done. Approaching 80, have to feel great about the commitment you have made to overall fitness.
The egg yolk is loaded with vitamins and amino acids.
We all love Lou
Way too many sets for the average man over 50. 15-20 sets is crazy unless still on the juice. Workout would take 1 to 1.5 hours.
I doubt that this is his current workout.
Robby Robinson is 78 and looks great too, Lou is a beast as well!
He should have been Mr Olympia
he would have been had he dedicated himself to it but he went into show business instead
Behind neck press is a recommended exercise? I don't know. I feel like I twist my shoulders when I am doing it....
that exercise has been debunked as the worst ever
2: 31 . no way this guy only eats 4 eggs . . I eat 6 eggs whites chicken breast , avocado toast and some fruit . .
He's only stating the proteins Lou said he eats, and how much. I don't believe it myself and would argue that red meat needs to be in a diet like tha5
green bean and broccoli has same 20g of protein per 100 gram like red meat
@@dannyjinguI read somewhere that the average person has 5 lbs. of undigested red meat in their bowels when they pass.
He has a VERY INTELLIGENT plan for maintaining his physique!
And what about the supplements he uses you didn't tell us about
I bet along with that 8 ounces of protein there’s also 8 ounces of supplements
8 ounces of steroids
I live one street south of him and I’ve never seen him. LOL
iT'S FERRIGNO, not Ferrino.
He looks awesome! Still a hot man! AGE IS A NUMBER ONLY!! Its how you take care of yourself and DNA
Thanks for the video. Simple advices and clear. Also quite honest different than the usual "just eat brocoli and chicken". Take care
Thank you for the support 💪
You keep saying egg whites, but showing whole eggs (that are much better imho)
Really important information. We should always learn from the professionals. Thank you for this video.😊
Make shure to take extra steroids to stay fit please thankyou too all my followers 😄 🤣 😂 😆
Nice one,Subscribed. Please keep it comin...
The correct pronunciation of "Ferrigno" is:
Feh-REEG-noh
Phonetically:
"Feh" as in "feather"
"REEG" as in "league" (with a soft 'g')
"noh" like "no"
So it's Lou Feh-REEG-noh.
Very insightful video...thanks for sharing :)
In my opinion Lou beat Arnold at least once for sure and look who’s winning now at 72 Lou you’re incredible man thumbs up to you brother stay alpha brother
Awesome! I'll try avoiding these 3 foods now to stay in shape like Lou. Thanks for sharing! 👏
Oh the INCREDIBLE HULK of the 1970's 😅😂. How can a 90's kid forget you sir. ??!.
Nice to see u again . 😂
Love from India 🇮🇳
I'm a 70's kid and he was my idol AND favorite superhero. He first tried civility and when he became overpowered and treated with much evil his representative came to speak a little louder and finish what the badcguys started! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 May Lou live long and continue to prosper!
This workout is not for the family working man. I have my own home gym and still couldn't dedicate to a routine like that.
Turning 64 this month. I am going to do this routine over the winter and see how it goes.
He doesn't look 35. I just turned 46 and I look 35. Let's not get carried away as much as we all love Lou. He's aging nicely though!
Happy for you Lou. More power to you if you still look 35. Good for you!
Incredible. Inspiration for me at 60. 😇
Always inspired by Lou, ever since 'Pumping Iron' Love Arnie, but Love Lou more, the true underdog hero of the film. I agree with his diet routine, though almost entirely lacto vegetarian, a few eggs, occasional fish, but no fried foods, no processed sugary snacks and very little white bread, mostly all wholemeal, including pastas etc. I use my Dumbells and Barbell every second day and aerobic body only exercises other days, Saturdays (Sabbaths) off apart from a little walking.
He could do another Hulk series. I used to love that show!.
Best show ❤️
Good to see Lou Ferreño again
Lou looks amazing! 😊

Lou was one of many that was underated ..
Wish you’d shown a recent photo. I like Lou. He’s done alot with his life and career. An inspiration to many but I’ve seen Lou couple years ago. Definitely does not look 35.
He's still a great dude ,love the guy !!
