The night photos looked great, have fun mastering the part that's challenging you! Roodle is about the luckiest dog in the world, in my opinion. Come to the north shore of Lake Superior again and get some agates! Great video again, thanks!

That recipe looks really good! We are going to try that. Loved the washing dishes tips. And, as usual, loved your photos on the end! Another great video. Thanks!
Cool story on the hat. Carrie made me the hat but I lost it years ago in Moab Utah. Gabe and Caroline found the hat near Moab and kept it in their rig. After we met these guys Gabe wanted to know if I wanted this hat he found! He thought it was my colors and I might like it. Carrie recognized it right off. What a crazy small world 😂
Loved it. Just watched this video with Linda and we agree that the reason we like you guys is that you go to remote/desolate places and find the beauty in it. This is rather than needing to be in a fancy trailer park with hook ups. Can't wait to see your next location. Love the headlight segment by the way. Good luck with the night time photography. You should do an entire edition on the settings and setup you're using for night time photography (The camera, lens, ISO, shutter speed, tripod, composition).
Thank you Jim and Linda! That's a great idea about the night sky video. Right now Carrie is learning about how to do a timelapse at night. I can't wait until she gets this figured out.
Y’all brought back memories of my nomad grandparents, who showed me many examples of their fire agate hunts. So cool! Also, I cannot wait to get out west again and see the magnificence of a pure night sky. Following a gorgeous sunset, there’s no better way to fall asleep than under the stars the way they were meant to be seen.
We would have loved to seen their fire agate collection! We catch the most amazing sunsets in Arizona, we are excited for you to head west again! I would normally agree about no better way to fall asleep but under the stars but the last couple of weeks we have been camping on the beach. The sound of the waves crashing against the beach has given me the best sleep in months! 😀😀😀 Either way you can't go wrong right? 😀😀
We love agate hunting!!! When we were on the east coast I missed the stars SO MUCH!! We had to find a lake just so I could see the sky! And in our travels Arizona really rocks the sunsets 🌅

Fabulous photography....always a just "WOW" shot!! Agates are amazing, the chemical formula is SiO2, just simple quartz but add a little Jasper or Chalcedony and Voila!
Very cool formula! Ok, so year's back I found an Agate on the beach in California. It looks like there is a starfish inside of it....do you think that is possible or is it more likely it's the make of the Agate.?

Wow, gorgeous! Loving your opening sequences! Rock hunting is super fun. We have a lot of states here but not fire states. That area sure is wide open! Great for cloud and star viewing. That dinner looks great. Mustard is so good! Pineapple too! Definitely a winner for Dave. Doodles bed time song lol. Oh wow, that garden sprayer. Great idea. I have arthritis in my thumbs too. Glad you found out the water problem. Well, you figured it out so that is awesome. One must go to the top of round mountain! The view from the top! That big fire agate...gorgeous. We're heading to Arizona and I told Mark, we have to re-watch that video where "one advanture at a time" found the fire agates! Found it!! So happy! Thanks again for the info!
@@oneadVANtureatatime We haven't gotten there yet. Found your video and we're going to find the spot soon! We did find some amazing beach agates in Northern California though visiting my sister along the way. 😍
We just found your channel and really love the content. We subscribed! The pump sprayer was a wonderful tip! My wife (Teresa) has been busy singing the Roodle song. 😊. How do you pull the meal pouches out of the fire? Mark ( & Teresa)
Thank you for subscribing to our channel! We use oven mittens to pull the foil out of the fire. Roodle loves to be sung to 😂😂😂 That and he can play ball all day.
I really enjoy watching you prepare foil dinners. They always look so pretty/delicious. I tried making foil wrapped potatoes one time. Poor things came out looking like wrapped charcoal, lol. Thankfully, I had cooked other food on the propane stove. On edit: You might want to leave the some of the rocks at geocache locations. JAT.
That would be fun to leave some Agates at a geocache location! We are having fun cooking on a campfire and even upped our game with a screen we can cook over the fire with. 😀 We have burned a few potatoes 🥔 as well 😂😂
Before I started watching, I was thinking that if you boondock you better be prepared with water and food. No light pollution would be the best along with hunting for fire agates. I plan to load my telescope as soon as I start my adventures. Love star gazing!
Thanks for these vids. We have watched a couple now including the one on Ajo, and we really enjoy them. I think we'll try to get down there next winter with our travel trailer. Hey, I believe there are lift kits available for the Promaster....
Thank you, Mr. C. You will love that Ajo area in the winter! They do make a lift kit for the Promaster, you are right. 😀 Maybe some day, for now we need new front shocks and maybe some better bump stops in the rear.😀
I’d really like to camp in spots with no light pollution. I’d imagine the stars are just so bright. I keep looking at 4wd campers, especially the Phoenix cruiser in 4wd. Just for places like that. Great video 👍🏼
I wouldn't even try going up there, you cleaned that area off completely, no agate left, LLLOOOLLL I found that pass time fascinating! Well done guys! :)

Love you guys. Roodle steals my heart every time. 😊 I was super nervous at first seeing that landscape. Really looks like the middle of nowhere. Then I thought they’re always in the middle of nowhere. 🤣 Love rock hunting just like looking for sea shells where I am. Love stars and its on my bucket list to go where there’s no night pollution. Beautiful photos Carrie! Would this location be ok for a solo traveler? Love seeing your everyday chores too. Glad I can travel with you via UA-cam. Thank you 😊
Hi Dave I also have arthritis in my hands and I have experimented and found that when I stop eating sugar my hands get better and they're so sensitive now if I eat the little little tiniest bit of sugar or foods with sugar in them my hands start hurting again but they are so much better now than they used to be, just a thought
The last week we have been on a no sugar diet and I have not even thought about my hands...because they also have not been hurting! That's a very cool tip!
Zip ties have replaced baling wire in my toolbox, would have been perfect for securing that duct tape on the headlight. You guys found a very peaceful spot and gave us a nice video as always. Thank you!
I got a text from Roodle and he said that he really, really appreciates you guys finding the second camp spot that was far more paw friendly. Good eye. He also said you guys will never, ever find his phone so don't look. Great dish washing rinse idea, by the way.
I bought one of those sprayers for foliar feeding my garden plants. I love it. Much better than using a trigger spray bottle. I don't think I'll be bringing it with me to use, though, since I feed my plants with a mixture that contains fish emulsion. Lol.
They're very sturdy. I bought a spray bottle that was operated by batteries and it died quickly. This pump style is much better and has better pressure. I've used mine for several years, albeit only once every 2 weeks in the summers.
Loved the Agates! Was thrilled this week to meet another traveller in South Australia who also watches and loves your channel, with a special mention of course, to Roodle☺👍
Ok, now that is amazing! We are honored to have you guys watching. We both had a chance to go to Australia once and have always regretted not going for it. Thank you for watching! 😀

I wouldn't be able to leave any behind...lol. I am curious to know how you do your time lapse videos. Do you have a time lapse camara? The photos at the end are stunning. It is always such a treat for me to wake up in the morning and find a new video from One adVANture at a time. Your spirit and enthusiasm is so addicting and oh how we love watching Roodle Doodle Do:)

She has been working on night timelapse with her Canon camera 📷 It really is addicting to hunt for the better Agate 😂 Thank you for your kind words! We love this lifestyle and I think it comes out in our work. 😀
I liked the fire pit recipe. How did the Turkey sausage taste?. Also I learned a hack from other UA-cam nomads about using white vinegar in a spray bottle to do my dishes. I also have basal joint arthritis in both thumb joints. I feel your pain my veteran brother! 😉

Glad you found out the water problem. Well, you figured it out so that is awesome. One must go to the top of round mountain! The view from the top! That big fire agate...gorgeous. Agate fever is real. Nice that you can share. What kind of beetle was that? Safe travels! 😀💗
We wanted to find a Uper rock while in the UP but we struck out 😂😂
@@oneadVANtureatatime oh my goodness...auto corrected words in my comment Lol. Sorry you struck out in the u.p. Hope your eastward travels are going great!!!
Really enjoy your photography of the terrain as your traveling.
Thank you, Joni! We enjoy sharing them with you. 😀
We're heading to Arizona and I told Mark, we have to re-watch that video where "one advanture at a time" found the fire agates! Found it!! So happy! Thanks again for the info!
So happy you made it there! I hope you are having loads of fun. Did you find any amazing rocks? Very cool. 👍😀
@@oneadVANtureatatime We haven't gotten there yet. Found your video and we're going to find the spot soon! We did find some amazing beach agates in Northern California though visiting my sister along the way. 😍
Nice! Did you find them at Patrick's Point area? We have found some of our best agates there. 👍
@@oneadVANtureatatime yessss!!! Our favorite! So beautiful there!
We do them and carry large BBQ tongs.. without real jagged teeth.
😀 We have burned a few potatoes 🥔 as well 😂😂
Have fun and take care and take it easy and enjoy it
Love your videos. Maybe, someday, when we get on the road full time, we'll run into you. Keep up the good work.
Before I started watching, I was thinking that if you boondock you better be prepared with water and food.
No light pollution would be the best along with hunting for fire agates. I plan to load my telescope as soon as I start my adventures. Love star gazing!
A telescope would be awesome to have along. I can't believe we have not seen a nomad with one yet.
Really nice video. Beautiful photography!
Thank you, Mickme! 😀
Wow- what a special place! Thank you for sharing this- adding it to my list.
I love to hear you're going to add a place to your list! We hope you have a grand time like we did. 😀
Great video, liked music selection.
Beautiful pics and I'll put it on my list to visit..
Love the Roodle theme song. Another great video.
Thank you, Robert! 😀
I’d really like to camp in spots with no light pollution. I’d imagine the stars are just so bright. I keep looking at 4wd campers, especially the Phoenix cruiser in 4wd. Just for places like that. Great video 👍🏼
We have been wishing we had a 4wd set up more than ever lately 😢
Leaving next week can't wait, love the State playlist organization.
Definitely on my list for next Fall or Winter. What fun.
Right on! I would go back to this area for sure. We hope you enjoy. 😎
I wouldn't even try going up there, you cleaned that area off completely, no agate left, LLLOOOLLL I found that pass time fascinating! Well done guys! :)
😂 It feels like there is miles of Agates to be hunted here! It would be fun to do a group meet-up here someday.😀
@@oneadVANtureatatime I would love that!!! Oh so fun to go rock hunting!!! Dangerous though: we will end up buying trailers to carry the so many rocks we gather LOL
Super duper video, jam packed with all the good things! Compliments to Dave for the drone footage! ✔️ great opening sequence ✔️ fantastic music choices✔️ Roodle playing ball✔️Carrie’s delicious camp fire meal!✔️agate hunting✔️Roodle kissing ❤️ his dad on the cheek✔️ ⭐️ stars singing 🎤 🎶 the Roodle song ⭐️✔️ More people simply have to watch these professional quality videos!!! Take care and stay safe! 😊 and 🤗 🐶🚐
Thank you, Andrea! This is one of those off-the-beaten-path treasures we love. Roodle liked this location as well especially the soft ground around the van. We are so happy to share this wonderful lifestyle with you. We always appreciate your kindness! We hope you are having a good day. 😀
Thank you 😊
Thank you! I think this spot would be great for a solo traveler. We went a full day and never even seen another car. 😀
Every type of landscape has is its own beauty.
That is for sure. It's pretty nice being able to drive to a new place when you are ready for a different feel. 😀
Very true. Having the same problem.
Thank you!
Yes, we are out of zip ties 😂 I keep forgetting to buy some, so many uses.
Thank you for another inspiring video. 👍👍
I got a text from Roodle and he said that he really, really appreciates you guys finding the second camp spot that was far more paw friendly. Good eye. He also said you guys will never, ever find his phone so don't look. Great dish washing rinse idea, by the way.
Too funny AJ 😂😂 Roodle does hide things like his ball. We loose about one a month 😀
Oh, I'd love it! Idk where I'd put anymore rocks in my rig than I'll already have in there, though. Lol.
I know right! Our van is loaded to the gills.
Another awesome video. So encouraged to get out in our van. Thx again.
We hope you get a chance to get out and enjoy! We are currently relaxing on the beach in Texas. Take care. 😀
Since I am a rockhounder fan this is definitely going on my bucket list.
Nice! We needed your experience on this hunt. This was a very quiet and peaceful place. 😀
Good to see you doing this stuff. You sure do look like the guy on season one of Alone
I have not watched season one yet! I love bushcraft, and wild edible foraging. I should check it out. 👍😀
I bought one of those sprayers for foliar feeding my garden plants. I love it. Much better than using a trigger spray bottle. I don't think I'll be bringing it with me to use, though, since I feed my plants with a mixture that contains fish emulsion. Lol.
I don't blame you 😂 I rinse dishes with it twice a day. I wonder how long it will last.
Enjoy your videos thanks
Gorgeous agates!!!
Bottle pressure ... This is just great idea .... Thank's a million. :-)
I can adjust the nozzle and squirt Carrie all the way across the van if needed as well.. Although nothing good ever comes out of that. 😂
@@oneadVANtureatatime 😬
Is that the camp stool you rescued a while back? What a great place to visit. Can't wait to go!
No, it's a new one! 😂😂 That one got left behind during a snow storm...it was buried and we didn't know we left it until later on. 😀
Great location, very nice video. Subscribed.
Thank you for subscribing to our Channel! We are honored to share these amazing lands with you. 😀
I like to see the van cooking. When traveling I usually eat out. Great job.
We are happy to share with you, we usually do the opposite and rarely go out. 😂
Sorry to hear you two getting sick on the road.
What a pleasure to watch your videos never disappointed... love your shots....roodle was especially cute 🥰🥰
Thank you, Judi! Roodle was very happy there, he was getting about an hour a day of ball time.😂😂
Love you guys,awesome personality ❤️
Thank you for the kind words, Esther. 😀
This may be a stop between Junction TX and Sedona AZ leg of trip. :) Thank you
Nice! We find ourselves in Sedona at least once every year! I have a thing for red dirt and rocks. 😎
looks like fun
Life's simple pleasures. A+ thanks for sharing.
Another great one! Enjoyed the Roodles song. Every dog should have their own song. Carrie, you mentioned you are the editor. Any recommendations on computer specifics for editing, i.e. RAM, processor, graphic card, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks,
Oh my gosh, what a fun video!! I know how fun searching for agates or other gems can be. It really gets addicting because you are always looking for a better one.
Carrie has been doing time-lapse on her iPhone and on the GoPro. The iPhone does a better job in lower light like sunsets.
Thank you Bob! Honestly, the turkey sausage was not nearly as good as beef 😂We would be going with the vinegar spray but Carrie does not like the smell. Thank you for your service! It would be fun to meet up and swap stories someday. Take good care. 😎
@@oneadVANtureatatime I am in an RV park in Pahrump Nevada. Give me a shout if you ever cruise by. I’m heading to Northern Nevada in a few weeks. I pull a small Geo Pro trailer with a suburban. 😉
Great video! You are such a happy couple. I will try your recipe on the 🔥! Can you sell these rocks?
We might be able to sell a few but they are just more fun to give away. 😀 Unless you find a rare one they don't have much value other than the fun factor of the hunt.
That Roodle has got it made. Lots of 💘 love.
Roodle is a happy boy! 😀😀😀
Carrie this is me looking at your food 🤤👍🏼
Awesome upload. I wish I had all terrain tires now 😢
Safe travels you two. Your so darn cute!
Thanks for the video. Just back from the SW in my 136 Promaster near you, wish I had known of Round Mountain. Guess it is on the 'next visit list'. What tires do you have on your Promaster? Enjoy your videos, The Tan Van.
