"We all need to come together" "We all need to do this", and then when someone's opinion doesn't match up with the group think, they get kicked out. You can't please everyone but we are all individuals and the "group" can be in conflicts with an individual(s) own needs and outlook on life.
I love this podcast, I believe collectively, we have a lot of work to do in order to be a better black queer community. I would like to see less fighting with one another at these bars especially here in Atlanta and a lot more brotherhood and building healthy rapports and connections

Like someone that lived 3 hours away that was only available on certain days after 10pm and the days changed and did not include most weekend , I would 7:30-2:30 off all holidays and weekends ….. and I wasn’t interested in driving 3 hours for anyone more hosting the odd hours they were available and they stated they wanted contact at least by phone daily …. When they could call I would be sleep always … it’s a Simon cow no…!!!!
The brotha in the blk is very complicated to establish a relationship with! Brotha in the gray shirt may not have heard of "speed dating." Jackd can be a "speed dating" type of situation! I do agree with this brotha about devouring background information; especially, if you are interested in that person.
Whilst I agree with Jae, usually my timeframe is it's Monday, a guy have until Friday for the first date to be on my calendar. After that you'll be talking to yourself. Brother in the black has established too many barriers for someone to get close to him. "Someone needing to be of value to you?" Sir what does that mean? Someone had to tell me at one point, and in fact it was a friends mom who said this. "Whatever it is you want, you have to give up something". For him it would be time. Additionally, I think us as black men, use work as an excuse to remain guarded. We all work, we like to eat and live indoors. Make time for the things you want. But for him it sounds like it a guy has to come on his terms, whatever those may be. Like Jae said, anyone can tell you anything via online apps or via text, hell even video calling. But you get a drink or two into someone and the mask comes off and you can see someone for who they really are.
Why do I get a vibe from everyone involved with this podcast that once they leave the person they are dating house ….. every back alley , dark room, gym sauna and restroom is open game for them to play with EVERYONE they cross paths with ..!!!!
I would really hate to meet someone that thought so much to connect , but so little of me that they would have a life changing status that they felt was not one of the first important topics to discuss on our first meeting ……matter of fact it would be absolute end to any future conversation if they shared anything other than an all negative status on all counts ..!!!
Talking to a group a like minded men ….. women can be your allies until their relationships aren’t going well and then you get to be all kinds of Geisler’s and your business gets put in the street. I think that’s why like-minded men like to have activities in a separate from women.
To defend Daddy Rod’s point about authenticity and tie into Wes’s thoughts on judgements and the pushback they both got from the gentleman in black…..aren’t we all sick and tired of the “log cabin Republican type gays” (regardless of politics). Do you Boo, but please stop sitting here and moralizing to the rest of the gays how they should live their lives (and to Wes’s point we can see who that thinking benefits) …..while taking active steps with people and institutions that want to erode our freedoms to make choices about our lives. It’s pretty much the gay version of being an Uncle Tom 🤷♂️. I found the gentleman in black’s position the least relatable. It’s not the gays who are trying to create our one size fits all template. I’d pin that on the rest of society.

Not sharing a positive status with the person ( s) they are working towards a sexual relationship with should be un-alived sooner that later for a crime … you cannot tell me that you are interested in someone and could care less about their health … it’s mean ,cruel and selfish x1000
