- The big news on this first official day of summer is that a 15.2-pound fluke was just weighed in at True World Tackle in Bayonne, NJ for Fisherman subscriber Aldo Paonessa of Clark. As part of our "members only" Dream Boat Fishing Challenge Aldo just took over the top slot in the fluke division with this lower New York Harbor doormat, with paperwork on another reported 9.8-pound Raritan Bay jumbo expected to arrive soon. Good fluke action in the bays and salty rivers (3:45) when the drift is right; we'll spend several minutes talking trolling motor tactics and light tackle fluking options before heading into Cape May County (8:10) for the herding of the sheepshead. Jenni has tips on sand fleas or mole crabs (10:06) in Open Boat this week, and a report from 30 miles offshore (12:07) could have anglers seeing red at the Jersey Shore this season with the return of the legendary channel bass.
