    The world misses Vito Bratta.

    • @kentwyatt
      @kentwyatt 10 місяців тому +3

      Yes, indeed the world misses him and he was sensational. He choose to stop playing and we must respect his decision but we have to move on and not lament about what is of no more. Every White Lion (Mike Tramp) post seems to get a similar comment somewhere. Let Vito go and be thankful for Mike Tramp and his continued effort to keep the legacy of White Lion alive for as long as possible and no thanks to Vito for calling it quits. Thank you Mike; your songs are wonderful. I really enjoy them.

      No they don't. Nobody knows who he is and he probably sucks.

      @@kentwyatt 100%, we are simply lamenting that decision. Vito Bratta was a genius, a virtuoso who saw shapes that no one else did, and played in a style that was 100% his own.

      Never forget learning the Wait guitar solo from a magazine and discovering the bend a note up a whole step, tap at the correct much higher fret, then lower the bend while holding the tap and release the tapped note to a note that you didnt tap from. Genius.

      @@monkyman404 that remains one of my all time favorite solos. When I first heard it, I couldn’t figure out how it was played. It was not until the tab was published in Guitar for he practicing musician, that the curtain was pulled and I could see the wizard.

    I played When the Children cry when my son was born, then 18 months later my daughter was born 8 weeks early and with problems that required surgery and she's had lifelong issues since, but I played Little Fighter on her birthday and now 33 yrs later she still tears up listening to it. Thank you Mr. Tramp!!

      Very cool. I have always believed that music is the closest thing we have to magic in life. That you have these memories, that your daughter still reacts to the song that way, I think that’s at least a little magical, eh. Thank you for sharing that with us. 🤜🏼🤛🏼

    My heart goes out to any singer songwriter who still pours their heart out regardless of what anyone else thinks! Melody and lyrics are the body and soul of any great song and this will forever be one of them!

    This is my baby girl (Laney’s) song. She’s 13 now, but I’ve sang it to her since forever it seems, and always told her it was for her. Our life has been the best I could make it for her and her sister, busting my ass to work while their dad (we divorced after 11 years and she was only 6 then) has provided nothing, never worked, and loved drugs more than his family. She, and all of us have fought “just us against the world” to rise -despite all odds against us. When I had a fall that injured me severely at only 47 now, she has taken care of me and never backed down to any challenges in our way. Her older sister channels her anger in a different way, and I have a song for her too. Music is something we’ve always had. No. Matter. What! She’s my little fighter FOREVER!!!!! ❤❤❤

    I wish I could go back to 1987 when I was kid. It’s a big hit to the gut when you see your heroes who played to sold out stadiums to be only playing in front of a small bar crowd. If I had ever made it in music I would carry my heros with me to keep their legacy alive.

    I like this version too. It still captures the essence of the song. The solo was was not dead exact, but again all the key points and timing were there. Its always risky tampering with a classic.

    I like that this dude has been playing ever since the White Lion days. Doesn't matter the venue. This one seems small. He's just about the music. He's not interested in being a star, he wants to be a musician/songwriter, and share music to the world. Good on him. Still looks good too.

    Vito bratta said there will never be a reunion while mike tramp is playing these white lion songs with random bands and musicians . He said he doesn’t like it and I can see why . I can also understand why tramp has been doing it all these years but it would have all been best left alone I reckon .

    • @dr6849
      @dr6849 10 місяців тому

      If you dont promote those songs, they are forgotten even faster. Eveyone wants a Reunion with Vito but if he doesnt want to, this is the best we can get. And by Mike promoting the songs, they are heard a little longer and Vito even makes a little money out of it...

      Quiters quit..winners keep moving. Vito left and tramp is still keeping the legacy alive. Im in a remote corner of North East India and been listening and singing white lion since i was 14. Now im 42 and still sing White lion is my favourite. Enjoyed Tramp performance here in Dimapur Nagaland with other guitarist. Didn't make any difference whether vito bratta was present or not. Lets stop bragging about someone who is gone and appreciate the ones that gives the effort.

      When that song was originally recorded he was in his 20's and now he's in his 60's. Also, this isn't Vito, and I suspect if it was a 60 year old Vito he wouldn't play the same as he did 40 years ago either.
