Oh, that's an interesting theory. I'm still a bit confused, how would you tie entropy with time manipulation though? or does 'entropy manipulation' already encompass the ability to disperse that energy through time/space?
@@johnhyacinth You can understand entropy as the flow from order to chaos. It's the law that ensures the force that balances out the world unless energy is involved to reverse the flow. Likewise time only flows from the past to the future...ever wonder why. If you can control energy you can make it so that time flows backwards because that's the natural way time flows. Honestly entropy has a hand in all things in the universe

@@ivanbluecool I guess it comes down the fact magus had to outwit more than servants. That makes a servant fight had a profound emphazis in how old , how popular and how inherently better is their quest in life than the current battle.
@@phantasosxgames8488 well being able to figure out thier origin or blitz them is the best case. Strange fake has some strong masters so it's possible to ser some battle servants as well but for now Rin is the only magus to beat or kill a herc life without a buff like shirou and soichirou. Coming back here because we apparently just got some new info about this from the Witch on the Holy Night event in FGO. Apparently it’s been confirmed that Yumina, Alice Kuronji’s ancestor, was the magician of the First Magic. The exact mechanics of the First Magic are still vague, but a video giving impressionistic representation of the True Magics represented the First with an explosion resembling a supernova, which (when taken alongside the Ether Clump detail) I feel could be hinting at it involving the spontaneous creation of matter or energy from nothing at all. Said video also gave us our first concrete hint at the nature of the Fourth Magic, which was represented by footage of a black hole that abruptly cut to static; I have a sneaking suspicion this means the Fourth is somehow tied to concealment or the destruction of information, which could explain how the Fourth Magician has stayed so far under the radar.
Awesome job! I can’t imagine the amount of research it takes to condense all this info into one video, but it’s much appreciated. Also, I love the crystal ball effect. The pinnacle of aesthetic goals
You know, now that we're at this video, I can finally put down my thoughts on the true magics. interesting fact, the five true magics combine to show the powers of an Omnipotent, and Omniscient god

I think its kinda crazy since the whole point of True Magic is to basically ignore the laws of reality- the fact that you can make someone a perfect immortal, cross universe, potentially make matter out of nothing and finally manipulate time is insane yet when manipulating a persons personal time causes the entire universe to die quicker is annoying.
@@parkermaisterra8532 Well, she traded 5 minutes of an individual's life for another ten years of his life, meaning she's crammed about 5,255,995 minutes into a point in time where it should not exist. While that's probably not enough to destroy the universe outright, it's definitely going to screw around with some things, namely causality, but the fact the universe hasn't collapsed into itself means the issue will be resolved if it hasn't already.
@@OtakuDaiKun I'm hoping the actual resolution is that the universe's lifespan is shortened every time the 5th Magic is used based on its application, so unless Aoko tries something truly outlandish like resetting the entire universe, anything she tries will just be a drop in the bucket and won't have any real effect on the universe's remaining lifespan, and everyone was worried over nothing. An even more amusing outcome would be that Aoko actually does reset the universe once it reaches a specific point, essentially shoving all of her problems to a point in time past the natural heat death of the universe where it's no longer relevant to anybody but the gods responsible for creating the next universe. Seriously, it'd be like shoving your paperwork onto God's desk and telling him to get it done by next week...
The death of the universe will be in possibility billions of aeons in the future, while that time debt will accelerate that destruction, humanity and most sapient species would be already dead by then. So it couldn’t matter anymore. Though that’s from a human lifespan point of view. Maybe there’s someone who gets to live to the end of the universe and gets screwed over.
Hmmm. So the first and fourth are to be considered the speculative magics, done by the magus but done in secret while the second, third, and fifth are the only documented magics of the five with the third being the most well-known. Interesting, but question professor, wouldn't the creation of an immortal body be akin to that of true magic? By creating such a body, ones soul can be tethered to that body for as long as the soul in question is alive. But then we still need to worry about the possibility of soul decay. Hmmm
I’ve always wondered what Magic Blue actually does. It looks like it works on a principle of “acausal conservation”. It seems like you can’t move energy, matter or concepts outside of the universe, but you can move them around inside time and space while everything is still conserved from the perspective of someone outside those things. Time travel would just be moving your body through time, but Aoko can take “moments” or “periods” and move them around so they happen at different times. So, she seems to be breaking the laws of conservation, but in a wider context outside time she is obeying them, since events can be neither created nor destroyed, but only moved. It’s possible she can move other things besides periods of time and their consequences.
5th is called newest Magician and is said that the reason isn't because Aoko is the fifth. Personal theory on 4th is that it involves Manipulation of Boundries. True magic seems to be universal theories which govern certain aspects of magic. And if we put aside, nigh-true magic magecrafts, which are: 1. Basically making fiction real 2. Space-Time manipulation 3. Soul/Spirit manipulation 5. Energy manipulation as raw heat for achieving various effects. This leaves only the effects of Reality Marbles which fall outside all these things. They don't actually manipulate space-time. It could be argued that it's 3rd magic, due to it connection to souls, but Heavens Feel's effects are clearly explained. It also can't be 1st. It inverts the Boundry between the outside world and a persons inner world. So this manipulation of boundries if taken to it's absolute extreme should be possible to be considered as a True Magic. 1st Magic is tied to witches, who were established by Yumina. Alice Kuonji is her descendant. The Three Greats were made by Yumina. Based on what has been shown it can be theorized that 1st magic involves materialization of fiction (making possible that which is not). Similar to Nursery Rhimes N.P., which can be used to manifest Jaberwock, a purely fictional entity, which egzists on it's on rules Alice Kuonji similarly can make creatures of pure fiction.
In Nasuverse description - True Magic is type of magic which results can`t be obtained with any other methods. A miracle. For example - if humanity build a machine that make possible travel between alternate dimensions then Caleidoscope (2nd True Magic) will lost its status of True Magic and becomes high-tier Magecraft. Something like that. Sorry for bad English.
I wonder what the effects would be if one were able to combine these magics together and use them. It would probably lead to some really interesting things.
With how secretive most of the Magus are, isn’t it possible that other magics have been discovered, but the clock tower simply has had it kept from them? After all this is pretty much the case with magic #4 already. They know it exists, and thats about it. I doubt there is several more, but two or three hidden ones wouldn’t surprise me given the whole multiverse thing going on.
I like to imagine that there exist a magic that is basically "Cause I say so" but it was researched a bit too much and the mystery died down and that's how reality marbles came to be
My Version of the sixth true magic is the ability to erase a phenomenon or person or thing from existence. In doing this you could effectively erase a holy Grail war from ever happening or alter the course of history. Tell me what you think?
Want easy access to True Magic tier Magecraft? While there are a few 4 and 5 star Servants summonable in FGO that have EX Rank magic, one of which being Stheno, Euryale and Hans Christian Andersen, a 3 and 2 star Servant respectively, also wield EX Rank magic. I'm pretty sure Andersen can only use his magic in some form with his writing, but Euryale has no such restrictions that I am aware of. Though, convincing Euryale to use her magic in a way that isn't purely for her, or her older sister's, entertainment might be a feat more difficult that winning a Holy Grail War.
@@phongduong7486 While I'm prepared to admit my own ignorance regarding what each stat means in Fate lore, wasn't the 'Magic' stat 'Magecraft' at one point? At least, I remember seeing Gilgamesh had a B-Ranked 'Magecraft' stat that is now just called 'Magic' in FGO. Also, and again I'm just curious, isn't Mana capacity directly related to the strength of magic you can preform? Like, even if someone like Rin were to learn the ritual to a spell on the level of True Magic, without the Mana capacity appropriate for it she could never cast it, right? If I'm misunderstanding the implications of Mana capacity versus Magecraft skill I'd like to know :)
I claim the First True Magic tonight. The path has been revealed. Infinite energy generation - Aether. I am no Ether Clump, I am the living connected soul to the Root. Selah.
close. Technically a reality marble would be borderline the 2nd and third magics...kinda. A reality marble is the realization of your own reality and overlaying true reality with it so that counts kinda like the second in that your taking yourself from one reality into another, but it's also very much like the third in that a reality marble basically overwrites reality using an instruction manual straight out of your soul. So you are 'materializing your own soul' and fighting using it, that or simply one aspect of it (since except for ORT maybe no one can alter the barrier between the world and their reality marble via their own will) as a reality completely separate from the norm. True magic would require a connection to the root, so while reality marbles kinda bend the rules, they aren't considered true magic at all. They're still dependent (kinda) on the rules of normative reality relative to the individual planet (mana consumption) rather than totally independent of everything.
I always thought of reality marbels as proyection pulled beyond its limits, and because no mage takes proyection seriously no one imagines a reality marbel can derive from it
@@strayorion2031 Gradiation Air, also known as Projection magecraft, is just duplication of one thing, unlike a Reality Marble which rewrites reality. Yeah. Arcueid knows of Aoko (5th) but doesn't want to fight her even if she has a 70% chance to win. Fighting Aoko is like fighting a nuke with arms and legs that can end the universe on accident if desperate. Lol
If there would ever be a Sixth True Magic, I'd say it'll be in the domain of either Potential or Possibility. As in, it's pretty much the culmination of the previous five, being able to do all of them, but not necessarily to the absurd levels of the owners of each of the five. At least, that's how I think of it. Personally, if I were to "gain" the Sixth True Magic, well... It'll be this: General Alteration of the Meta-Existence in Reality System, or in short, the GAMER System. Kinda on the nose, but not exactly impossible, eh? Who knows though.

True magic is basically the infinity stones
So from what I can tell powerful magic from the age of gods is not the same as true magic but is rather synonymous with it as mages back then didn’t need the root to gain divine knowledge and accomplish the same effects as true magic could

Ubw seeing shirou and Rin battle or soichirou fight is more exciting to me than thr servant battles as the stakes are higher.
Zero magus battles are insane in greatness like Kerry vs kirie and mini Rin outsmarting ryounusuke
Because Mages are inherently weaker than heroic spirits?
@@samuelrodriguez9801 well they are but it's mostly the skills they show as humans and more so getting an edge on a servant. Ubw Rin shirou and soichirou do many times and Rin being a more modern mage beats Medea wirh fists which is always nice to see.
But it's more on abilties i like to see as servants are more power based even Medea
@@ivanbluecool I guess it comes down the fact magus had to outwit more than servants.
Not that the servants lacks some wit , but a servant forces the mystery of his time into the current world , it's bounded to a class that ccrystallize part of their tales and so on.
That makes a servant fight had a profound emphazis in how old , how popular and how inherently better is their quest in life than the current battle.
@@phantasosxgames8488 well being able to figure out thier origin or blitz them is the best case. Either very old magus with the strongest magic or newest magus like Rin who can fist fight would be best to handle a servant when caught off guard like Rin beating Medea who should be better at magic and shirou to Gil being serious while Gil got serious too late.
This might as well be the most important topic in the Nasuvers
Clear, comprehensive and very informative. Thanks for the vid Dai-kun!
I want to thank you for putting this up!!! I love the lessons so much so far but am unable to patron right now. YOU ARE AMAZING!

So Aiko caused the incineration of humanity in her own future timeline?
Even that goes way over my head. Hopefully it'll make more sense when translated.

I hope we get more of this on UA-cam
Sheeezzuuzzz dude, did you take narrating lessons from Zelloss of Slayers fame? Fantastically narrated!
Hmmm
I have been waiting months for this.
Zelretch only became a vampire in Tsukihime timeline. He achieved immortality through different, unknown means in Fate universe.
Don't fate and Tsukihime share a timeline ?
@@cernunnos8344 they share the setting. Fate doesn't even have one singular timeline, it's a multiverse.
5th is called newest Magician and is said that the reason isn't because Aoko is the fifth.
Personal theory on 4th is that it involves Manipulation of Boundries.
True magic seems to be universal theories which govern certain aspects of magic. And if we put aside, nigh-true magic magecrafts, which are:
1. Basically making fiction real
2. Space-Time manipulation
3. Soul/Spirit manipulation
I once tried learning our world's mage craft. Now I use it for obtaining ssrs.
So true magic is the operation/co troll over one of the basic aspects/concepts/origins of existence, like time, space, soul, etc
I enjoy this video about the nasuverse magecraft.
I wonder what the effects would be if one were able to combine these magics together and use them. It would probably lead to some really interesting things.
I just want a true magic that allows me to make that which is deemed fictional, a reality.

Quite possible. It could just be select families keeping them secret, too.
I like to imagine that there exist a magic that is basically "Cause I say so" but it was researched a bit too much and the mystery died down and that's how reality marbles came to be
I can see that especially with all the resources and researching a high ranking mage family would have
Aye I like how you open the video with that speech
My Version of the sixth true magic is the ability to erase a phenomenon or person or thing from existence. In doing this you could effectively erase a holy Grail war from ever happening or alter the course of history. Tell me what you think?
It would be interesting, but I doubt they'd implement something that world breaking.
@@OtakuDaiKun good point 😅
Well, actually the EX Rank thing you call “magic” wasn’t really magic at all, but rather mana capacity instead :)))))))
EX Rank merely means "abnormal", "not conforming to the measurement standards" and "unquantifiable".

Merry Christmas 🌲🌲
Otakudaikun. Now i really want to find out what that 4th magic is and what it can do
Would reality marbles be considered true magic or close to it?
@@goldenbrigain7031 that makes sense now thanks
I always thought of reality marbels as proyection pulled beyond its limits, and because no mage takes proyection seriously no one imagines a reality marbel can derive from it
@@strayorion2031 Gradiation Air, also known as Projection magecraft, is just duplication of one thing, unlike a Reality Marble which rewrites reality.
